I agree that it looks like maybe the box algorithm needs to be modified from whatever is currently happening. Still, it's a nice idea to try and encourage folks to post. And given Melody and trees tomorrow and the Free Shop coming up, I guess they're just trying not to flood us with stuff (but I do think the boxes should at least show up a little more often than they seem to right now). Personally, I've decided just to keep any boxes I get and open them all together. Don't know if that will result in anything good, but at least it will feel a little more like getting something. :-)

Yes - I'll be looking forward to the reaction to the Free Shop from some of the new users I've now been seeing all over the site. Especially the ones who just joined this month. :-)

My weekend has been quiet and relaxing. Hope yours is good as well. Merry Christmas, since it now seems to be officially Christmas Eve.

We celebrated today with my grandparents at their house, we had a nice lunch and we're all still stuffed!

I will do this at least twice this evening and again tomorrow.

I sent most alchemy gifts thankfully a while ago. I had hoped to send an extra little something under the trees but I've just been too overwhelmed.

I'll have to soon get ready for bed & then travel to my aunt's for Christmas lunch. I do the family get-togethers but it's challenging for me.

I haven't felt like using my regular HA since grandpa... but couldn't resist when I got an extra special surprise ^^ I also adjusted one I had made in anticipation for New Years to incorporate a very special kitty I wanted to use this month but due to a rough Dec. it didn't happen... so we'll see him pop up before the end of the year ;)

Do you have any plans for tomorrow as well, ? Two of my brothers are coming over, it's kinda nice living with my parents again since it means I don't have to travel for the holidays. XD But it also means only getting kiddo every other Christmas. D:

Usually kiddo likes to "camp out" in my room on weekends and holidays, but tonight we are camping up in his room. XD He's all excited to be on the air mattress and inside his firetruck tent, lol.

Waiting until tomorrow to look at my presents! I am so exhausted tonight! Just finished all the Santa stuff and I am bone tired :( I would hate to forget thanking someone. Brain is shutdown for the night.

I buy the scratch cards all year in between doing other stuff and throw them into my vault just for this. And I also will wait until tomorrow to look at my tree. Late now, trying to get a few quests done before bedtime. Merry Luminaire to all. :D

Thank you everyone who sent me something! I'll be doing a little something starting tomorrow for any sharkies I missed giving gifts to, this month was a little hectic and I got some stuff for people last minute but I didn't have time to get everyone unfortunately. :c

But I'm going to do a little late gifting thing once I get back home!

Today we're driving back from my grandparents' house, so we'll be on the road for a while. But at least there probably won't be too much traffic since most people will likely be home celebrating. :P

Kiddo slept until 9:30! My younger brother got here around 7:30 and waited around, lol. But once kiddo was up and ready to do gifts, it was cute and everything was exciting. Then my oldest brother came over, and now my aunt and uncle are here, too. =) My mom made us breakfast and my dad is gonna make dinner. Weeeeeee!!!!

I got a little LED light to cure gel nail polish, (and some gel nail polish,) so I am gonna try giving myself a little french manicure look and hopefully the gel keeps it from chipping in half a day. XD

I try to, but its rather difficult when the muscles in my back pull on the rib after moving around. So far I've been too busy to get back to finishing up the baking. I went shopping with my mom yesterday to check out the after Christmas sales. Maybe today or tomorrow I'll work on baking some more cookies.

😊 might be a long travel but the cookies are very yummy. I bought a package of pre-softened caramel and a bag of candy cane candy melts to use as filling for the sandbakkelse. Still have to bake them though.

I haven't heard that before, but it does make sense. Both the dogs that were across the street from us in town never barked at vehicles driving past, but if you walked out your front door three houses down, they would start barking. Chris is just under the impression that its a complex and they are trying to act bigger and tougher than they are. I just get annoyed by the constant barking.

Yes, my parents think she just caught a bug and it took her some time to get over it. Last night she went in the house because the windchill took the temps into the negative digits. We put Ruger in the bathroom last night so she could stay warm.

Happy holidays to you as well. I had an enjoyable Christmas with my family. Still have one more extended family Christmas to attend on Chris's side of the family, then I'll be able to relax.

The boxes on my profile show up when you hover over them. There are faint outlines to mark out the corners where things are. The comment box is in the middle next to the owl. I've been considering changing my profile background/layout but I haven't been able to find a new one to replace it.
