Feedback for the shop, Freyalise Trading Co.
I can't stand this shop. It's here for a handful of days, and it is nearly impossible for a casual Subetan to get anything from there. When I do see something refresh in the shop, I try to click an icon...ANY ICON. I don't have the half-second it takes for my brain to process what I want to buy, or if I have it yet. If I want to get one item during a full refresh, I just have to randomly click something, anything. It's not shopping at a store, it's not even "restocking"....it's luck based on whether or not you happened to refresh your browser during that .5 seconds the shop has something, and whether or not you beat your fellow users to clicking the icon......and whether or not you don't get a 502/504 error during the entire process.
One may argue, that I can quest and get items, or vend for them. I've been doing both, and I am lucky if I manage to get a few items. I don't think it's fair having to spend 500 wizard tokens each day to try to get a chance at the new items that other people are able to buy them at just a few sp from the shop. Once I've completed all my quests, and vended as much as I can, I just have to keep hitting refresh on the shop throughout the day.
I went from enjoying having the fellowship of my fellow team members during a plot and working towards a goal, to wishing that all my fellow Subetans log out, or forget that the shop exists...so that I may have a chance at something.
I don't have a solution or recommendation for staff...other than this particular user can't stand the Freyalise Trading Co. shop.

Personally, I suggested that Keelhauliday needs a massive overhaul, and so does the Freyalise shop in suggestions today.
First, make Keelhauliday lasts all of September. People love this holiday. Second, make the shop permanent, with its own currency that you can get by doing stuff in Port Plunder!
Namely, restocking at Babette could yield you a piece of the special currency as well as the item you restock, Angrybeard could give you currency if you whack rats often enough, so could Drunk Carl...you get the idea. It would get people into doing things in this part of the map, and with 30 days to do the quests and such, people would have time to get what they want.
Maybe if staff actually added some things in there, like I WANT TO DUEL BRUNHILDE THE BLUE, and if you win, well, you get dubloons (and the satisfaction to have defeated a 1 year old pirate anyu) And if you lose...well...you get the shame of getting your butt kicked by a baby.
Or, just more stuff for Rita and Anabelle to do, because PIRATES

Agreed, it's not really a rush or a thrill, it's just blind panic. Just me, screaming and clicking on the first thing my cursor gets to -- or me, freezing up for a second and finding everything's already been cleared out.
Admittedly I did just get three items out of the latest restock I caught, but generally I'm lucky if I get anything.
I feel like the solution is just to... put more stuff in there. I mean, from what I've seen, you get maybe ten different items in stacks of three/four. Double that and people might actually stand a slim chance of restocking something they want.
I am 100% for this being changed to a month-long thing. Please. More pirate stuff. And, as I am sure Rah is sick of hearing, more pirate NPCs. Human ones. We need a Captain Flint so I can have more reason to save 500 gifs of my favorite bi-rate.
But no, no more currencies. We have enough. We have more than enough. Staff noted they wanted to limit those (and has since added one or two or five since then ???). But gosh no. They could jack up the prices some and do it like the Go Outside shop. Didn't they say they liked doing shops like that and planned on doing more ? They could still do it as a seasonal thing, but this way more people can grab what they want and hopefully less items will be cheap as Hell and overstocked while others are practically unbuyable.
I'd definitely love if the shop at least restocked more items more often. I suck at restocking, but I love the Keelhauliday items, and I'd like to actually grab some, lol.
The thing is, with SP, people are just going to buy everything on Day 1, and then, the rest of the month will be...super irrelevant. It's the same issue as the Reading Drive, where people just turned out everyone in the first six hours and complained about "OKAY, WHEN DO WE GET PRIZES"
This is what is going to happen, people buying everything super quick and then "OKAY, CAN IT BE MOROSTIDE YET"

I do find restocking frustrating, but I don't necessarily feel that anything needs to be changed. I only price checked the items still on my WL, but out of those 34 (new) items, only 15 are worth more than 2m in the shop search. Only 10 are 5m or more. This is only the, what third? day of the event. That doesn't seem unreasonable to me.
Though I would like to see the Freyalise come up in the Mystery Box at least once. I'm not sure how badly that would affect the item prices since it's unlimited but it's something I'd like to see.

To piggyback off the other ideas, I like the idea of the rotating perma-stock, like the brewery or the shops in shengui-go, but you have to haggle with the pirates, and they have the right to turn down your offer. But the catch is you can offer only once (or three times. IDK) during that specific stock rotation. So you may get three items, you may get none. It would be fun, I think, and something different than just staring at an empty shop for hours on end and hoping to fuck you catch a restock.
I've said it elsewhere, and I'll say it again: I FUCKING LOVE THE FTC AS IT IS!
With the holiday shop gone, this sort of this is a rarity on the site, and variety in events is always welcome. Making it another static stock shop will be so dull, especially since Alegarten comes immediately after that. Maybe introduce a few extra methods of acquiring items from activities around Port Plunder - it would be nice if this event were more substantial than restocking - but please don't change the shop.
Not really sure if I want a whole month of the same stuff. The only holiday that long is Luminaire, and because of Melody. People get bored fast, and the "hunt for dubloons" will probably last a week before most users lose interest. I do agree that we need some of the pirate NPCs back, and more stuff to do, like last year's treasure hunt for the map pieces. Maybe some opponents which random loot are items from the Freyalise, too.

Unpopular opinion - I liked Morostide much better when it was one month long, over two weeks long.
It's now that I find it boring, especially with how items were handled, where I had really low chances of getting everything I wanted. At least, with a month-long event, I knew I would most likely end up with everything I wanted, and since content was spread during the month, it wasn't boring.
I find many small holidays more boring than a couple of big ones. Alegarten could never come back and I'm sure I'll be fine. The lore isn't that interesting and there is just so many beer and sausage items you can make before they look all the same.
I like the idea of the shops that have stock all the time, but then that makes all the items available all the time. I think it's still nice for restockers to have something to do.
Perhaps a mixture? Some items are always available in the shop, and some restock? Still only available for 2 weeks or whatever.
I guess it's just a matter of preference. Personally, I don't really care for Keel Hauliday or Alegarten, but I do like some of the items that come out every year. And while they are expensive at first, they do deflate quite quickly.
I'm of two minds on this. I don't mind RSing. It's not my favorite activity, but if I really needed to, I can do it. Carl and Cursed Quests have been pretty good about getting items. I haven't vended much because I'm lower on Wiz tokens than I like to be after the plot item drives.
I don't think we really need another special currency, but I wouldn't be opposed to using the doubloons for that purpose. I like the idea of having more interactions with the pirates during this time to get a chance at FTC items. That would be a great way to get more items and keep people interested in the event.
I think ten days is absolutely fine for Keelhauliday. We really don't need a month of pirate stuff, as much as I love the pirate-themed items. The length of the holidays is totally appropriate in my opinion, but I make time to participate in the holidays so I get all the items I'm looking for, either by participating in the holiday or by buying the items I want from user shops.
I do agree that Alegarten isn't the most entertaining holiday. At least Keelhauliday has decent lore, but I wish it were explored more!
when i was rsing for profit i loved the holiday shop. but now that i want the shit for myself i hate having a mild heart attack everytime i want one of the new books.

I personally like it the way it is, its nice to actually have to earn it if you want it. If everyone was just given everything the wanted easily then whats the point of actually playing the game.
I only play about an hour a day and I only need 5 items out of the 69 new ones. so its do able and not all that difficult
