Thanks .. glad that is the case!
But technically this is still being moved out of the winner's queue... and given how long it takes for staff to even look at any of the queues, it sucks to think your pet may have to be moved from anywhere but the winner's queue just because of minor adjustments (which may not even be your fault). This is why we need to know which queue we are in. If my pets have not been looked at yet, then yeah, I don't mind making small adjustments. But once you are in the winner's queue... I have waited 1.5 years. I don't want to have to wait EVEN LONGER to have my pet moved to another queue, looked at again, and then moved back into the winning queue AGAIN where they will likely continue to sit in limbo. If the process was faster all around, fine. But since it isn't... this doesn't really help at all.
So you'd rather leave a bunch of errors? I understand that you don't want to be put into another queue but people already get mad if they feel that a pet isn't "worthy" in their eyes...how are people going to react when a spotlight winner has a bunch of errors? Besides, the review queue as I understand it is much smaller and easier to get through.
I am asking about this. That should not have happened!

Honestly, yes, I would rather have the errors in there then have the nomination/queue process be extended further.
I am not against a re-review queue for cases like this. I am just going to wait until I can be sure that making those adjustments won't make things even worse.
.. I still wonder about the treasure change then off the nomination spotlight, could you double check on that also when you ask about please?
Subeta Users: point out mayor issues with the waiting time and the judging/nomination/winning process, gives bunch of suggestions and amazing ideas how to solve Staff: adds more waiting time by adding another loop to the process, solves nothing
I don't know if I should laugh or cry, in fact I am just disappointed. This is how the staff deals with the concerns of the users? Just picking a tiny little minor issue, skipping the main issue, once again? And yes, I also would rather leave the errors than waiting again 19 months for my very first, possible spotlight win!!!!!

- your pet was not in the win queue. If it had been in the win queue, it would have gone into the re-review queue when you edited it. We have people working on the review queue right now, which was severely backlogged. Looking at your pet's profile, I will say it was likely denied because of the text on the right that's separate from any of the rest of the profile. It looks out of place.
- The re-review queue typically has 1-5 profiles in there at any one time. I check that queue regularly, the profiles have already been judged and I'm just checking to make sure the text is all still there or the profile hasn't been wiped. No pet stays in this queue for long.
- users can give all of the great suggestions in the world, but if we don't have the resources to implement them, or they don't work with our current system or coding, then they cannot be used. The re-review queue isn't new, it's been there since the early days of spotlight.
We will not be letting users know which queue they are in.
We're going to stop denying pets for the time being as our tagging system is being worked on and we will be able to deny with actual reasons, as well as give a notification if your pet is denied.
What actions will be taken? my pet is sitting in the queue since 19 months. The current system doesn't work at all.

That sounds like it should be great - as long as the denying pets isn't stopped for too long (especially as there's a chance our pets that've been in the queue for months / over a year are still in the first queue)! Personally I'm not fussed about the notification (I check my nominated pets daily :P), but the denial reasons will be really helpful! :D

- Since we switched to 5 days per week the queue is moving faster. There are currently around 25 weeks worth of pets in the winners queue now, just waiting to be selected. There are around 250 pets left to go through in the judging queue. We're implementing a tagging system for the pets we deny to let people know what needs working on, or if there's a small fix to be had.
- I want to get the queue cleared out real soon and have taken a few people away from their other jobs to work on it with me this past week. These are temporary resources to clear the queue out, and these staff members will eventually need to go back to their own priority tasks, but this push should set us up nicely for the next few years. I am working with grace on the coding requirements at the moment. I don't want to sit here making promises though when we've been doing that for over a year. I'll keep this board open until this is implemented, we'll let our actions continue speaking for us.
We obviously don't enjoy our users being completely frustrated with us and this process, it doesn't make us happy!
thanks - that'd definitely be helpful for the queue to be cleared out (once those tags are in place).... if my pets end up being cleared from the queue, it'll be a spur to get on and change their profiles about again laughs :D

We already had a player say in this thread that it took you guys over a year to reject her pet. And that's when staff was actually denying pets. How long is it going to take now?!?
So my pet was sitting in the queue for 18 months and hadn't been reviewed? It hadn't been rejected yet because it was still nominated. Also, the quote is part of the people coding. It's a premade profile that I've seen pet spotlight winners use before. If that's what I need to remove then so be it but I am unbelievably frustrated right now. I didn't edit the treasure either and the pet was nominated 18 months ago so I'm confused as to why got that error (thank you so much for saying that about Emela though ;o; )
I understand the frustration everyone is feeling. But the staff DOES care about our concerns and, frankly, berrating staff and saying they dont get things done is NOT the way to convince them to make changes, especially to work quickly on changes.
There is a lot of behind the scenes stuff that goes on that people dont realize. Rah mentioned this. Subeta is doing their best, they care about the users, lets try to be understanding of their limited staff and resources.

, thanks for your information and I am glad the staff is actively working on this now.
Your TC items are not something you code in, just the box that they are in. That is why I said it does not reset your nomination.

Ahhhh.. OK, thanks for the explanation ! In the mean time I have worked on the original background picture some, checked the storyline etc. and can only hope it will be fine this time.. other then that I await the rules. :)
We will not be letting users know which queue they are in.
This...I'm so tired of pets been in the queue for a good year or so and I'm assuming they've already been looked at and then suddenly they are booted. It's happened so many times. And it's very frustrating. At least KNOWING that they haven't been looked at yet will alleviate some of that frustration.
Your frustration is totally understandable, and most of us here feel very similarly. :(
So let me get this straight. Pets that have been nominated since March 2015 (well over a year) have yet to even be reviewed? And now they are not being denied, so we literally have zero idea what is going on? I have two pets from March 2015 as well that have just been sitting in limbo. I want to fix the coding errors, but held off. At seeing 's post, I was considering fixing the errors... but now... There are three possibilities.
Why are pets that have been in the queue so long not even being looked at? Most people assume that if the pet hasn't been kicked out after a while, they are just sitting in the winner's queue. I understand that the "not telling people they are accepted" idea was to make it a "fun surprise" when people win, but at this point, the pet spotlight is less about having fun and working hard on your pet, and more about luck. Did you get lucky for your pet to be reviewed quickly? Did you get lucky that they liked your pet? Did you get lucky that the random picker chose your pet? I really hate that I have to sit here and think over the pros/cons of making minor coding edits to my pets because of all this. I feel like I am gambling and need to know the odds before placing my bet.
This board was started because of long wait times as well as the fact that newer nominated pets were winning before older nominations. Maybe the bias here isn't just with the random picker, but with the queue itself. - Does the queue show you oldest to newest? Because I really can't understand why older pets haven't even been looked at otherwise (aside from fanpet issues which were mentioned on another board). I mean, I understand that this website has a small staff and that there is no one dedicated to the spotlight. But over a year for a pet to even be looked at is just not good. Even having pulled a bunch of people on staff together to get through the queue, it seems super odd to have older pets slipping through the cracks like this.
I appreciate that actions are being taken, and that at this point, excuses won't really be used. And I understand that this won't be fixed tomorrow due to resources and stuff. I get that. But after all this time... I just really cannot understand why/how things were allowed to get to this bad...
