(( OOC: @ Ah! A literal one. Though, maybe a better word is vent? Though, that wasn't quite what I was imagining, but I can't think of the right word. It's like, those large pipe-things that put out heat? But, I might just go with vent, because that's easier.
Also, sorry for the crowding! I went to the reception because, well, that's where everyone was. ))
[edit] (( OOC: Radiator! That's what it's called! Yeah, that's what she's sitting next to. ))
OOC; No need to apologise, boo! It's totally fine. I mean, you're right, everyone is there. :) Also, do you mean a radiator? (It's 4AM here, so I'm super sleepy, heh.)

OOC: I just say the layout and is it possible for mini fridges? Especially if bought by the patrons? and I hope the bookshelves are okay.
Andrea smiled at the boy, "That's alright. As long as it doesn't happen too often." She smiled, "Nice clothes. I manage a thrift shop in the small town and you might like some of the clothes there." Andrea told the boy, "By the way I'm Andrea. I'm staying in room one with my golden retriever, Riley, and Mara my roommate. You can stop by anytime if you'd like. I have books you can read or if you need a helpful ear." Andrea offered to the boy. She tilted her head as something seemed off about the boy. She could turn her physic abilities 'on' and 'off' through thorough training and mediating. Andrea tried to keep her abilities off as when she used them she would feel drained. She then noticed Diana and Ashley (that was her name right?) enter. She laughed, "I said that too but I've been here for like two, three months now. I stopped keeping track after a while. It's home for me." Andrea interjected before she looked out the window to see the car and the boy's older sister. "What make is your car? I love the classics." She smiled at the boy.
Andrea then turned to Selphy, "How was your morning? Do you want to come by and see Riley in a little?" She asked the girl for any hopes that if her morning was rough she might be able to calm her down. Riley always loved being petted and getting all sorts of attention.

Diana smiled warmly at Selphy with how awkward she acted. "I'll get you two then Selphy." With that, she moved over to her basket and removed two of the blankets, bringing them back to the girl. She placed one on her lap and draped the other over her shoulder. "There you go! Should warm you right up!" She said brightly while moving back to her spot from a few moments before.
She looked up at Andrea when she turned towards them. She hummed softly as she looked around the room full of a few of the guests. She kept an eye on the new boy to make sure he got the blankets he wanted. Diana made note that she needed to work on blankets again to make sure everyone had enough since it was starting to get slightly colder. She focused her attention to the two younger women by her. "Andrea, how is Riley and Mara doing? I haven't seen them much this week."
Covie sat up from her semi-submerged position in the kiddie pool as she felt the dull mechanical presence she had been sensing sharpen and condense. She had successfully ignored all of the hubbub that was going on in the reception area, but this was something worth paying attention to. The presence was strong, but shifting, like it didn't have a determinate form.
Covie had found, over the years interacting with other beings of the aether, that those who could shift between forms in extreme ways - completely changing their compositions, in the manner of Zeus and the irresponsible children he had sown - had a mutable aura. It was hard to track them, because they could condense or spread themselves as they saw fit, therefore causing considerable difficulty in recognizing them in both forms. Covie supposed it was a good form of camouflage, but she far preferred the Egyptian pantheon, with their set forms and sensible jobs. This creature - was it even a creature? - was not quite as oscillatory as some of the presences she had known, but had shifted between two different forms like snapping a rubber band. That, in and of itself, denoted power, or age, for nothing came that simply without lots of practice and enough strength behind it to not do it in stages.
Covie's farthest transformation was that of something similar to that which many would call the Loch Ness Monster - in fact, Nessidie had been one of her closest friends, when humanity didn't wander as freely and they could leave their lochs for months at a time without having to worry about the desecration of their homes - but it was a form that she only took when she had to travel long distances or protect her marimo from extreme danger. She preferred having hands to fins, if only for their ease of movement and power to manipulate things, but this didn't mean that she didn't know the strain of completely changing one's organs to suit one's purpose - and that seemed to be exactly what the presence was doing. She knew of Ahua, and how much she devoted to changing between forms, but she usually stayed near the same size. This creature was not, and was nearly defying the rules of nature while it was at it.
She stood, abruptly, and strode with purpose to the edge of the roof. Her grey eyes scanned the lot - the presence was emanating from outside, so it had to be somewhere down there - ah, there it was. Tim, the sweet fool, was petting a car that was a goddess. Covie quickly understood how the presence had felt so different to her - most of the gods and goddesses that she had met, before, were things that were organic, made from the hands of Danu and pressed into life by the kisses of the sun. This was something that was made by humans, but no less important for it - no, she was a goddess of the new world. She was only limited by what humans created by her, but that did not mean that she was persecuted in the way that Covie and those like her had been. While Covie could not thrive in this new world, not always, this goddess could.
Covie called out to Tim. "Tim, do be careful; that car is quite literally stronger than you could ever imagine and I would hazard that the... owner wouldn't like it to be harmed." She nodded subtly to the driver. "Please do excuse his English. He's been with us a while, but still has yet to get a knack of... well, anything, really, other than pronunciation, but he's a sweetheart, and tries hard." Covie's old Celtic accent flowed readily over her words, and she hoped that this goddess would be able to parse out what she was saying.
(TIM IS SO CUTE OMG) (FUCC OK I LOVE HOW YOU DESCRIBED CHEVELLE THO) -viola
Chevelle could tell he was trying to be polite despite his broken English, and there was something very endearing about him. She smiled and stepped out of...uh, herself, and into the rain. She might not be a creature of it, but she was more than used to the elements.
"Glad you like her." Grinning smugly, and standing a little straighter from the praise, she saw Barbara wave from inside, and returned the favor. The goddess had a name thought up already, planned ahead just for such a situation. Lee would be proud; he'd get the reference. "Jackie. Call me Jackie." I'm your big sister 'Jackie' now, so don't go slippin' up and calling me Chevelle. She told him.
Chevelle waved to the goddess on the roof, though it did take her a second to decipher what she said. "He's fine! I mean, it's not every day you see a car like this around."
So she knew. Just as Chevelle thought, the other goddess had sensed her as well. Acknowledged, and boundaries made, just as it had to be. Two entities with that kind of power could cause some serious damage if they came to blows, as so often happened in stories of old. But it was also a measure of respect; you enter the domain of another god, you don't tramp about and make a mess of the flower garden. Or, as Chevelle suspected from this goddess, drain the pool.
"So your name's Tim, huh?" The car goddess said, inclining her hear towards the Marshman.
You seem pretty popular in there, kid. She snorted, an aside to Lee.
"Thanks. I mean it's-I'm just not used to this, hah." He smiled a bit nervously at Babs. A tiny woman approached him offering crocheted blankets from a basket under her arm. Well, he supposed there wasn't harm in it. They seemed okay. "Uh, yeah, sure, I'll take some, thanks. I mean, that's real nice of you." If something was funky about them, Chevelle would let him know, but just holding them made him feel refreshed for some odd reason. They were brightly colored, and smelled nice, kind of like outside, actually. Almost that sweet kind of wet grass smell. "How much I owe you, by the way?" He asked Babs.
The blond-haired Englishman appeared intent on his comment about the weather, but there was so much going he felt as if he was ignoring some people unintentionally.
"Yeah man, I hope so. My girl out there doesn't like the rain too much." Lee wasn't too thrilled about his next comment. "I don't need to stay here that long. I mean, I hope this don't turn into no Hotel California if you catch my drift. I think my car'd get a bit rusty from that, and her wheels get a bit restless." He heard the small cough from the woman who had sat on the couch earlier, and glanced at her. "I'm Lee. Lee Allen." He added when Jervis offered his name. "Must be the rain drawin' everyone out here, too." She had never answered his question, but maybe she was one of those shy girls. And considering how many people flocked to the office, it probably wasn't doing her any good. He wasn't sure if he should intrude on her solitude, but the small woman made an offer of a blanket, and apparently tried to make some small talk. It seemed like they were a family. A big, dysfunctional family.
Lee nodded towards Andrea. "Might have to check it out some time. And hey, I might do that once I settle in." You sure this place was a good idea? This ain't like you, choosin' something that'll pin you down. What? Yeah, hell yeah, we're here for a reason. Come on now, this is a motel, a staple of the roadside landscape. It might not be one of those in-between places, but god damn it if ain't nearly there. She was distracted, soaking in the admiration of the man she was speaking to. "My car? She's a '70 Chevelle. Did a few things to her to make her go quick, like that blower. Tried to keep her as original as possible otherwise. Doubt if it's true, but dad used to call her 'first off the line'." Lee looked out the window fondly. Aww, you jealous I'm talkin' to someone else sweet cheeks? Chevelle joked. If it wouldn't have been obvious, Lee would've rolled his eyes.
OOC; Mini-fridges are absolutely allowed, as are bookshelves and any other furniture provided by the tenants. That layout is just a general layout of the rooms, so that people had a rough idea of the size and the kind of furniture that would be provided initially.
Tim's trying his hardest to act like a human. ;)
IC; Tim, who'd been in the process of rolling the name "Jackie" around in his mouth, turned at the appearance of Covie on the roof. He made his typical burbling noise . A noise like rushing water from deep within his throat. With one hand on his hip and the other waving wildly in the air, he greeted the goddess. He liked Covie. He didn't quite grasp the concept of gods and higher beings. As far as he was concerned, she was just a very beautiful, very eccentric human being. A very eccentric human being who seemed above and beyond typical human beings, but a human all the same.
"Harmed car!" Tim called back, giving the goddess a big thumbs up and his equivalent of a smile. It was a careful manipulation of his facial muscles, so that his large, flappy mouth lifted at the corners.
He didn't quite grasp that the car was the thing in danger. He'd had a few run-ins with cars. He'd been hit in the motel car park more than once, but he, quite literally, had thick skin. He was protected. It was always a shock to the driver, of course, but people had grown used to clipping Tim on their way back into the yard. He didn't blow up over it anymore.
Once the goddesses had finished their exchange, Tim waved once more at Covie. Waving was probably his favourite human interaction. There was something very satisfying about it and it could convey so many messages, none of which required him mangling the English language. He turned back to Jackie and smiled again, very briefly, before speaking again.
"Tim," he confirmed, pointing at himself with one thick, slightly-webbed finger. "Jackie," he said, pointing at her. "Covie," he said, gesturing behind himself, where Covie was on the roof. "Very nice pleasure to meet you."

Ahua had settled into the form of a small ferret on the rooftop. The fur along her spine was still raised and her heart was still thumping, but she knew that she was safe now. Coventina, the sea goddess, was a small distance away, but Ahua didn't feel as threatened by her. There was an air of calm surrounding the goddess at this time, probably due to the rain, probably due to the pool of water. Ahua swallowed and inched closer. Her throat was dry from the fear.
Covie had her back to the ferret and seemed to be calling out to some of the others below. Ahua was safe. Was it disrespectful to drink the water from the pool? Ahua changed form again, morphing into an otter, and scurried the rest of the way to the pool. She pushed herself onto her back feet and slid the top half of her body over the edge of the pool. Her small pink tongue flicked out, pulling the fresh rain water into her mouth, while her black eyes remained focused on Covie.

Covie smiled at Tim. Even if he didn't totally understand, at least he was trying. She waved back at the scaly man, smiling and letting the contentedness she felt on days like this roll off of her. She truly didn't want to seem threatening to this... Jackie, but wasn't sure how much the other goddess wanted people to know.
She sensed Ahua transforming once again and dipping into her pool. She smiled to herself, and resolved herself to remain still at the edge of the roof. "Ahua, dear, if you want, you can get into the pool in its entirely. It would be fine."
I'm sorry, Ahua whispered telepathically. Covie hadn't turned it around, but Ahua was still embarrassed at being caught. The otter scrambled back from the pool, her small paws squeaking against the plastic, and loped away to hide behind a metal box. She wasn't sure what it was. A ventilation shaft? It whirred quietly. She sniffed it, decided that it was safe, and settled down to clean her whiskers.

Chevelle bit her knuckle to stop herself from laughing at Tim's happy exclamation to Covie, and had a broad smile on her face when the Marshman turned back to her. "Good meetin' you too, Tim. And hey, that dude in there, that kid?" She pointed to her driver. "That's my 'lil bro. His name's Lee. He thinks he owns this car, but he's wrong. Dunno what's takin' him so long." She eyed the office. "But hey, since we're chillin', you wanna hear how this girl sounds? Big, loud, and proud, let me tell you." Chevelle wiped a bit of rain out of her eyes.
That woman on the roof? She's a goddess by the way. Don't get on her bad side, alright? I don't need to pull you outta no bad situation, you hear me? She told Lee. She's a lot goddamn older than I am, and might be some kind of fey, so you just watch yourself. She and I already made note of each other and we should be cool for the time bein'. And this gentleman I'm speakin' to right now is named Tim. Rooftop goddess is Covie. Wait, are you flirting? Lee responded, the edge of a grin floating in her head. Or you just happy to have someone other than me paying attention to you? I am NOT flirting. Mind your potatoes. Just makin' conversation. Hurry up before I come in there and fight you.

Selphy's pale face flushed slightly when Diana draped the blankets over her; she still wasn't used to this kind of attention, even after more than a month here (unsurprising, since she still wasn't used to Buttons, either). She offered a small smile. "Oh...thank you." As it happened, the blankets did warm Selphy right up; she was feeling slightly dryer already. In fact, it happened a little too fast. Were these magical?! Did they have a curse?! Her eyes darted over to Diana, wide behind her glasses, but one look at the girl's smiling face caused her paranoia to subside. Surely, there were easier ways for pixies to kill people than draping magical blankets over people. ...though, if she was a psychopath, killing with kindness seemed appropriate for her.
"I feel better already..." She stopped her poisonous train of thought with another positive comment, and shook the whole mess from her head.
She turned the opposite way when Andrea approached her, and froze with panic. Oh...she's being so polite and kind...how can I possibly tell her that I'm terrified of dogs?! Selphy had done a fantastic job thus far of avoiding the (admittedly adorable) little creature without seeming rude, but that seemed to be at an end.
She gulped. "Oh...uh, that would be wonderful, but..." Her mind cast around for an excuse, and snatched onto the first one it found. "But, wouldn't that disturb your roommate...? I would hate to impose..." Otherwise, it looked like ghosts and people would only be two of the fears she was facing today. ...on four hours of sleep.

[-viola]
Andrea smiled at Selphy but, "You're not imposing at all and Mara keeps to herself anyway. She just kinda coexists with everyone else, you know? Just know you're welcome anytime and can borrow my extensive collection of books." She looked at Selphy before turning her attention to Diana. "They're both doing good. I had to give Riley a bath this morning since he decided to play in a puddle of mud. Mara is being herself, she bought some groceries today. One less thing to do." She sighed before looking back at Lee, "Can't wait!" She looked to him and then to his car and then to the girl outside who he called his sister, "I'd love to go for a ride sometime, if that would be alright with you and your sister." She spoke as she started to admire the car.

Name: 'Cooper' Banner Age: 25 Gender: Female Species: Shape-shifter Appearance: Physically Cooper is not an imposing woman, standing at about 5'6, with a naturally average build. She works out just enough to give her arms a slightly muscled look. She has grey-green eyes, straight reddish-brown hair that reaches to mid-back when left to hang down, a few freckles on her face, a slim nose, and an average chest size. Her ears have 2 lobe piercings each, silver studs are kept in them at all times. She dresses usually in jeans, dark blue preferred, a shirt of varying length but always some shade of green, and a leather vest. She wears either work boots or tennis shoes regularly. She keeps a knife on her belt. The knife is well worn, but she doesn't use it unless necessary.
Her other form is a large cat-like beast, mostly resembling a cougar, with sand colored fur leading to a white underbelly. The tail is short, like a bobcats, with small spikes on top. At its' shoulder it stands at around 5'. Cooper's eyes remain the same color, and her earrings remain tagged in the ears. Her incisors are elongated, hanging slightly below the chin. The muscles of the creature are well defined, and her claws are sharp like knives. Personality: Cooper prefers to think before she acts, and is loyal to herself, maybe a few others on occasion. Although she's willing to talk to anybody who will listen she usually keeps her emotions hidden. It depends on her mood whether she'll stand up to anybody or not, preferring to not use her ability if she can help it (she's not exactly tiny). History: She's sort of a bounty hunter, but currently taking a break from the business. She won't really talk about her past. Also willing to do guard work. Family/Pets: None atm Other: RM 42
Is she okay?
"Hey, yeah, that'd be rad. No lie, I love showing my girl off." He smiled at Andrea. "Hope it gets a little sunnier out soon. Nothin' quite like just cruisin' with the windows down and some good jams on the radio."
Now who's flirting? THAT WAS NOT FLIRTING. I barely met her more'n two seconds ago! 'Sides, knowing you, you'd lock all the doors and be a shit about it. Or take her on a hellride. Maybe that...wasn't such a good idea. BESIDES THAT I think most everyone here is a helluva lot older'n me. In human terms that's not cool - read it - illegal. I'm not that much of a jerk. Uh-huh. Lee could almost see the devil in her smile.
"Dum de dum, such a lovely place, such a lovely face..." Jervis hummed under his breath, distracted from Lee's words by the mention of a song. He quite liked that song, having heard it a lot on the radio, even if he preferred classical music - the type with lots of pianos, flutes, and violins. Jervis learnt to play the piano and violin as a child, though his overbite made the flute an impossible task for him. Playing piano and voice duets with his mother of an evening were the happiest memories of his rather unhappy childhood.
He managed to pull himself back into the present after a few seconds, turning his attention to the task at hand. As the two others talked Jervis was having some problems keeping up with the conversation. Listen and concentrate as hard as he could, he still couldn't quite filter out the voices from the thoughts. He could hear snatches of Lee's thoughts, the tattooed lady's thoughts, the shy girl's thoughts, and the thoughts of a few other people he couldn't recognise; one of them was strong and loud, but with a strange buzzing undertone that obscured the words. It didn't quite sound... normal, these thoughts. He had never heard anyone who had thought like that before. Not quite human, if he could go that far. Jervis frowned as he looked around the lobby, trying to locate the source of these odd thoughts.
[Chevelle. You sure this pla... Yeah, hell yeah, we're here for a reason. Those in-between places... Sweet cheeks? She's a goddess - I'm sorry - by the way. I'm terrified of dogs?! I am NOT flirting. Mind your potatoes. It looked like ghosts... on four hours of sleep.]
Babble. All meaningless babble. Minds layered over minds, cutting in and talking over in an unending waterfall of psychic noise. Usually Jervis did his best to ignore the thoughts he overheard, giving them as much attention as traffic noise or birdsong, but sometimes he found it useful to concentrate and only then was he frustrated that he was completely unable to focus on one mind to the exclusion of all others. He felt like a radio tuned to everyone's fleeting surface thoughts, the constant internal monologue that made sense to only the one thinking it.
But he could tell one thing: the odd voice and Lee's thought-voice seemed to be speaking and replying to one another. Was it the girl Jackie that he was talking too? Was she psychic too, able to speak to people with her mind? Since they were brother and sister, it made sense that they had some sort of bond. Jervis had read a lot of stories where siblings could talk to each other with their minds; Kestrel and Bowman from the Wind Singer could do that, if he remembered the book correctly.
That solved that mystery, then. Jervis stopped frowning and a smile of satisfaction at a job well done appeared on his face.
"I wouldn't worry too much about being bored here, Lee! The motel is full of colourful characters." Jervis chirped, before lowering his voice and leaning forward conspiratorially. "In fact, I'm fairly sure that one of the guests recently was a werewolf. And there's the mermaid lady and the fish man - I wonder if they know each other? - and I saw a very odd looking cat in the car park yesterday. It was green! Green! Curiouser and curiouser..."
Normally Jervis would stop there, or would have stopped much sooner, but his good mood inspired him to talk and he was a roll besides. He had a stranger to impress and maybe a new friend to make. "Oh yes, and the haunted room right next to mine. The young woman on the coach has that one. No wonder the poor thing looks so wan, living with a ghost. Well, not living, per se - can you live with something's that dead? That and the dog. I recall her saying- Oh. Wait. Um. Nevermind."
Jervis stopped speaking at once, cursing mightily in his head. Stupid Jervis! Stupid, stupid, STUPID, pudding-brained Jervis! Are you are fluffy-headed as dabchick? She THOUGHT that, not said it! Ooooh, what if somebody finds out?! What if they find out what... what I've done? What if they think I'm a freak and hate me forever? Oh, I'd cry then. I'd cry and cry until I drowned in my own tears!
"Oh, I see...well, thank you for the offer..." The books actually sounded great to Selphy, not that she was able to get much reading done without a nice, quiet, relaxing place available to her. She swallowed, ready to doom herself to interacting with Andrea's canine companion, but then the other woman turned to afro-boy (Lee, Lee, it was Lee...definitely don't say 'afro-boy' out loud) and began conversing with him, presumably sparing Selphy from facing this particular fear until another day.
Selphy slowly turned to Lee as well, somewhat awkwardly, as she still felt bad about ignoring him earlier. However, she felt somewhat like she'd been made a part of this conversation, since Andrea had been talking to her and was now...well, talking to him.
She gripped the blankets Diana had given her for support. "...I also hope that it clears up soon," she said quietly, and immediately regretted it. Did that add anything to this conversation? No. But she couldn't think of anything to say...she didn't know much of anything about cars. She glanced at Jervis, who was just sort of standing there. He seemed about as confident in making conversation as she was. But he was clearly trying, so she felt bad for him.
However, he then rejoined the conversation with gusto, and her innocent glance turned quickly to a full-blown horrified stare.
"That and the dog. I recall her saying- Oh. Wait. Um. Nevermind."
Selphy stood abruptly, the blanket on her lap sliding to the floor, her mouth open wordlessly. How, how, how had he known that?! Oh, geez...had he seen through her feeble deflection earlier?! How embarrassing! Now not only had he probably seen her go through the window to avoid him, he'd heard her trying to turn down a kind offer from a kind person...he probably hated her! And he lived right next to her!
She looked down and to the side, trembling slightly. "U-Um...you know..." Her head was swimming. What should she say?! Should she apologize?! Should she talk about Buttons, about how he really wasn't a bad person--er, ghost? That she was just a terrible coward? Should she change the subject, and hope that Andrea hadn't noticed what he'd said?!
Her head was so abuzz with panicked thoughts, that she blurted the first thing that made it to her mouth. "...I actually l-love dogs! Dogs are, well, you know, they have tails, and paws, and they...um...they bark..." she finished lamely. Her face steadily heated up, and finally she couldn't take it anymore. "S-So, you know, I'm fine and stuff, and...I think I left the s-stove on," she stuttered out awkwardly, despite the fact that she hadn't touched her stove since moving in (out of fear that she would somehow manage to burn the motel to the ground). "So, uh...bye! Nice seeing--uh, meeting--uh, g-goodbye," she finished, turning to the hallway and walking back to her room as quickly as she could.
Once there, she immediately entered and locked the door behind her, standing with her back to it as she breathed. Well...that could have gone better. A lot better. Now she knew that her next door neighbor hated her, probably, and she'd no doubt cemented herself in the nice-seeming Lee's mind as a raving lunatic, so that was good. Andrea was probably offended by her fear of dogs, and Diana...oh! She'd left one of the blankets, a gift! How rude! She slid down to the floor and put her head in her hands just as Buttons, realizing she was home, floated down from the ceiling in delight.
"Oooooooh, Selphy! You're hooooooome! Did you already finish your 'stuuuuuuuff?'"
"I'm finished, alright," Selphy replied miserably from behind her hands.

((OOC: Oh wow, you know that song too? 😛 ))

OOC; I'm not able to reply tonight, because my mind is too all-over-the-place to focus on writing. Babs will be calling Lee over soon to fill out the room form though, so if you guys want to open a spot up for her to interject, just ping me when it's available.
Accepted! Feel free to join the fray!
My favourite version of that song, lmao.

(I think maybe now could work? She'd know where food places are too.)
The girl who had tripped earlier finally spoke up, but Jervis immediately jumped in before Lee could make a response, detailing all the supernatural happenings that went on at the motel. Interesting... "Heh, can't say I'll be bored, just that I got a job to head back to, you know?" He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, starting to think this place might end up as one of his assignments. Was there something weird going on here? Chevelle hadn't mentioned it being one of Til's places, after all. It wasn't neutral ground. And she'd know better than anyone else. Maybe the owner just had a soft spot for supernaturals looking for a place to unwind. "Oh, a uh, ghost-?" Suddenly, the girl on the couch leapt upright, seemingly spooked, and began speaking rapidly about dogs before making her way quickly out of the office. "Huh. Wonder what's eatin' her?" Lee scratched his head. Living with a ghost, like Jervis had said, was probably part of it. Uncool, but he knew most ghosts weren't too interested in harming the living. That was like, a poltergeist thing, right? Mentally shrugging, he though about the motel. Maybe when he left the office, he'd take some photos of the grounds. As unreliable as it was with clear images, it would still pick up on disturbances in energy fields, though it didn't seem like anyone was too bothered by being open about what they were (it could cut through glamours somehow, though given the end quality, saying exactly what someone was was entirely a hit-and-miss). Lee had seen ghosts before; lost souls on long highways weren't uncommon. People who had been murdered, died in car accidents, stuff like that. He'd never spoken to one before; that wasn't his specialty. Somehow he didn't think the ghost was that important or troublesome if the owner hadn't done something about it. Still, he was intrigued. Was the ghost following the woman, or was it attached to something in the motel? They didn't just appear randomly. He blinked, realizing he'd just spaced out for a second. "Aw man, sorry 'bout that. Been drivin' nearly all day. Kinda tired and a bit hungry. Left the show pretty early this mornin'. Say, you know any good take-out places 'round here?" He asked Jervis.
