Ariesh (R-E-Ish).. The hindu elephant headed deity is originally named Ganesh... So just combining his home land (the pet), and going off of what everyone believes him to be. I see this or some variant of this name being a perfect fit... That and I'm kinda a lover of exotic names.

Hmmm...I don't really have a name suggestion with any meaning, but Yazzu sounded kind of cool and uses the letter "Y" which hasn't been used in a pet species yet.
(Actually now that I think about it wasn't Yazzu a character in Final Fantasy X??? Or am I mistaken?)

Qiharu
Chiharu is a feminine-leaning gender-neutral Japanese name meaning a 'thousand sunny days'
Qi means 'air' in Chinese (sometimes interpreted as the life-force Chi) and can also mean 'rise'/'to go'
Haru means 'spring' in Japanese and 'day' in Korean

Uriale/Yalurial Mashup of Urial and Yale. Urial = wild central Asian sheep with reddish coat and long curved horns
Qho, or Pho because soup is delicious. I don't have a good reason. It's simple and relatively easy to spell.
