“Welcome to Potions Club. I’m Beth Hale, your club captain. In this club we’ll practice making potions that we wouldn’t necessarily make in class. Professor Mathers has been kind enough to let us use the Potions Classroom and has also separated a section in the student cupboard for our use only. She’s also allowing use to use the storage room across the hall to your left for any potions that might need extensive time brewing.”

On Professor Mathers’ desk laid a piece parchment paper and quill. “Please write down your name, house and the type of potions or the specific potions you are interested in making.”

“Feel free to grab a cauldron from the side of the desk after you’ve signed in. Inside you will find some essential ingredients for potion-making, empty vials, basic instruments and a book.”

(OOC: Let me know if you’d be interested in discussing RL recipes to make these potions/drinks.)

Gaia hurried to the desk to write her name Gaia Kavanagh - all potions: healing or useful ones during school time. (stress reliever, etc.)

"I am so excited about the club, Beth!" () Gaia grinned and went to grab the cauldron to find her spot.

Magnus ran into the room as best he could carrying his cauldron, supplies and rucksack. His cat Kippers following behind him. Potions was one of his favourite classes. Magnus Lee Gryffindor-- Anything ((ooc: sure why not? lol though I'm not great at cooking))

Aderyn could barely contain her excitement as she made her way down to the dungeons. Potions was her absolute favorite subject of all, and to have a club devoted to it this term made her want to jump for joy. She rushed into the room, waving to Beth, Gaia, and Magnus, and moved to put her name on the signup sheet.

After putting down her name, she grabbed a cauldron and moved to a table near her friends, peering into the cauldron to survey the goodies in it.

"Llo Aderyn, Llo Gaia." He wondered if he shouldn't have brought his own cauldron seeing as they had been provided.

"Come prepared, I see! That's always good!"

She pulled a roll of parchment, a quill, and an inkwell out of the shoulder bag she'd come in carrying, setting them on the table in case she wanted to take notes.

"Thanks, though I didn't know Beth would 'ave cauldrons. I guess its like chefs and using their own knifes."

"We'll need one Bezoar , two measures of Standard Ingredient ,
a pinch of unicorn horn , and two mistletoe berries ."

( OCC: I'm not much of a cook either. I think it'd give a different perspective to the club.)

Gaia looked at her list and smacked her forehead. "I forgot my ingredients box! I'll be right back!" Gaia turned to leave and stopped "Save my seat! and also my cauldron please." She said to Aderyn and Magnus.

"I will be back in 5 minutes!" ( )

Beth set up her station, ready to begin making the antidote.

"Is anyone else missing anything?"

tore off before Magnus could say anything. Shaking his head he wondered who was going to steal her seat or cauldron... did she think there was an outbreak of cauldron thieves amongst them? Then setting everything in a meticulous queue he waited for further instruction. "Nope, I've got everything thanks," he said to Beth.

((I agree. plus cooking and potions making are kinda almost the same thing))

Gaia ran back to Potions Club and took her seat feeling overheated and heaving. "Did I miss anything? I don't know how I missed bringing my ingredients box!" Gaia arrange her ingredients and took her parchment and quill out. "I am ready!" ( )

"'Ere," Magnus said digging into his rucksack and pulling out a flask of pumpkin juice. "Looks like you need a drink."

() "Maybe I do need a little drink!" Gaia said while wiping the sweat from her forehead. "I cut through the classrooms and a class was doing things with fire. The hallway was really hot! I hope the dungeon doesn't get really hot today!"

Sauvage hurried into the classroom late, like every club meeting she had attended, it would seem. She'd bee so preoccupied making sure her ingredient box was stocked, her cauldron clean, and simply prepared in general that she'd lost track of time and wound up late.

Noting the familiar faces from some of the other clubs she'd joined ( ), Sauvage set her things at a desk and awkwardly walked up to the front of the room to write down her information.

She smiled and nodded at Beth () and then went back to her seat to confirm she had everything she needed for today's potion.

"The Antidote to Common Poisons can be used to cure ordinary poisons. Has anyone had any experience with it or made it before?" Beth asked around.

"'Llo Sauvage," he said as he pressed the flask into Gaia's hand. Did he have any experience with the anitdote potion? He couldn't think of any experience so he sat quietly.

Aderyn waved at Sauvage as the girl walked in and dashed over to the ingredients cupboard, realizing she was running low on unicorn horn. She made a mental note to send Hygieia to Diagon Alley to pick up an order for her and then returned to her station, setting up all of the necessary equipment. She raised her hand as Beth asked if any of them had brewed the potion before.

"I've helped my dad brew it at home loads of times! They use it all the time at St. Mungo's."

Magnus felt a jealous ping when Aderyn said she made the potion before and for healing nonetheless.

"I have made it once before, but mostly I have help my family in making them. We make sure to always have some. It comes in handy when dealing with the forest back home." Gaia handed back the flask to Magnus. "Thank you. I feel better."
