"Wow! Your potions look great! Are you sure this is your first time making this, Magnus?"

Beth walked back to her station. "Now we only have a few minutes to complete the second part of this potion before the potion spoils." Beth grabbed the unicorn horn and added a pinch of it to her cauldron.

"After you add a pinch of unicorn horn to your potion you stir twice clockwise," she said as she stirred her potion. "Next you add two mistletoe berries and stir your potion counterclockwise." Beth dropped two mistletoe berries into her cauldron and stirred the mixture counterclockwise two times. "With a simple wave your potion will be complete" she said and waved her wand over her potion.

He beamed with the praise. "Yeah me first time. Got one of the top grades in me potions class though. One of me favourite subjects. I 'ad me cauldron set up in me dormitory, until one of me roomates blabbed and I was told I couldn't do that." He added the pinch of unicorn horn and stirred clockwise like Beth instructed. Then adding his mistletoe berries and stirred counterclockwise twice. Waving his wand over the potion to finish it. He frowned not because it was wrong, but because it was done.

Aderyn smiled as Beth () approved her potion. She paid careful attention as the girl directed them on the next steps even though she was familiar with them and immediately went to work as not to let her potion spoil before she could complete it. She picked up a pouch of what she'd thought to be unicorn horn when she'd picked it up from the ingredients stores, but as she added a pinch of the powder to her cauldron, the potion suddenly turned a violent purple color and began to spit a little. Gasping, she stepped back and looked down at the pouch, realizing she'd grabbed powdered whale bone instead of unicorn horn.
