"Perfect! Then you can help me show the others how to brew it correctly." Beth told Aderyn ().
Beth took her mortar and a Bezoar from her station. She began crushing it as she spoke."First we must use place the Bezoar into the mortar. We need to crush it into a fine powder like this," Beth said as she showed everyone the powdered Bezoar in her mortar.
"We only need to add four measures of the powder to our cauldron. Once you add the powdered Bezoar, you can pour the two measures of Standard Ingredient into the cauldron."

Sauvage started to raise her hand and then realized she wasn't in class, so she just spoke up after Aderyn. "Yeah, I've made it quite a few times with my mami. Its a relatively straightforward recipe." She shrugged her shoulders, a physical gesture that signified that was all she had to say.
"That's good to hear!" Beth told and .
"We'll be working on more advanced potions in the next few weeks. I figured making this antidote would be a great potion to start the term with. We'll be giving the antidotes we make today to Mrs. Glas. We'll be saving her the trouble of making some herself."
"We can also give some to the prefects and Heads of House to keep."
"No problem. Why would you need a poison cure at a forest?" he asked curiously, "is it cos poison ivy?"
Mangnus followed Beth's intructions. Carefully he ground the Bezoar storing the remains in a spare vial which he neatly labled and then added the four messures of it to his cauldron. Next he added in the two messures of his standard ingrediant. Lazer focused as he was, he didn't pay any attention to the other's work at the moment.
"You're doing a great job, Magnus! You're going to make a great healer some day." Beth said with a smile. ()
"Next you need to heat it to a medium temperature for 5 seconds. After the 5 seconds are up you wave your wand," Beth told him as she herself completed the actions.
"The amount of time you let the potion brew depends on the type of cauldron you're using."
Magnus blushed at Beth's compliment. As he followed her instructions yet again. Waving his wand at exactly 5 seconds to change the temperature. "I've got a brass one," he said, pointing to his brass cauldron which had a Griffin inlaid at the top other fancy filigrees, "'ow long should I brew?"
Aderyn smiled and nodded as Beth () said she could help the other students. She loved being able to pass along the knowledge that she had, and she glanced around, watching others work as she placed her own bezoar in her mortar and began to grind it. It was tough work - grinding a stone with a ceramic pestle was no easy task - but it was rewarding. Having crushed her bezoar, she added the necessary measurements to her cauldron, along with the standard ingredient, and then monitored the temperature closely. As Magnus () asked a question, she smiled over at him.
"Brass tends to heat more easily than pewter, so you'll likely have to brew it for less time, though I'll defer to Beth's knowledge on the subject for as to how long exactly you'll need to brew for!"
He nodded, "yeah they warned me when I bought me cauldron that it was a bit faster, but it also gets better results. Me folks thought since I wanted to be a 'ealer that they should shell out a little more on the better cauldron. Then they 'ad it inlaided with Griffins when I was sorted since the cauldron was on backorder. Shinny ain't it?" He was smiling the enitre time.
"It's beautiful! I've got one of dad's old brass cauldrons around, too, but I rarely use it because they can be temperamental and I'm not sure my skills are up to par enough yet to use it regularly. You're right, though, you'll definitely get a better potion out of it!"
He nodded "For somefings I borrow the school's cauldrons as the brass one is too finicky," he admitted, "But I really do love it."
"Having a good love and appreciation for your instruments helps you to trust them, which in turn makes you a better potion maker. I'm sure you're going to be great at all that we do!"
"I 'ope so. If I blow up one o' me friends that would be bad."
"You should let it brew for 34 minutes exactly," Beth told Magnus ().
Beth took a closer look at his cauldron and exclaimed, "I love the griffins on your cauldron." "Why Griffins of all creatures?" she asked him curiously.
"Have any of you made the Wiggenweld Potion before?" ( )
He placed the timer spell on his wand. "It was on backorder when we ordered it, so they add the Griffins when I was sorted. Of course, we didn't know I'm a bit scared o' griffins. I'm trying to overcome it though."
"I'm sure you'll overcome your fear. Have you been around griffins often? I know it's hard to find a herd of them. Moony comes from Genoa."
He shook his head, "Only the one at the pet shop when we were shoppin' for Christmas pressents at Hogsmede. And Aria's mixed griffin owl. I ain't even been near Moony."
Aderyn had never tried to brew a Wiggenweld potion, so she simply shrugged as Beth () surveyed the class. She focused on finishing up with her current potion, tweaking the flames a little as not to overheat the brew.
While monitoring the heat of her cauldron, Sauvage answered Beth's question, "Yes, actually I have. It's one of the more advanced potions to make, am I right? It is used to awaken someone from a magically induced coma." Sauvage looked around the room, making sure there wasn't anyone else trying to chime in, before continuing. "I've only made it once or twice so I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I'd probably be able to recreate it as long as I had the recipe nearby."
"Maybe when you feel more comfortable around Dax, you can try babysitting Moony. Moony is a total sweetheart. I'm sure you two will get along. He loves being around people." ()
"We'll probably be making the Wiggenweld potion during our next meeting. It depends on what ingredients Herbology club has for us," Beth told the club. ( )
She turned to and with a smile said, "If you have any tips on how to make, please let us know."
"I think we're almost ready to complete the second part of the recipe," Beth said as she checked her watch.
( )
"We're growing a lot basic potion ingredients, but if the recipe calls for anything more specialized, I'm sure we could work it out, too!"
She ran a hand across her forehead as she warmed up from standing over the steaming cauldron. She decided to shed her cloak for the time being and she unclipped it, setting it down before returning to her potion. She carefully watched her timepiece, making sure she didn't go over time on brewing her potion.
