Had it been a free gift before it was put in the MC, it would just have been a band-aid on the wound.

Putting it in the MC first, and potentially making it a free gift soon is better, because of the price cap.

Mostly price wise, but also just the availability of it. Spending a million just to see it getting burned? Refreshing hours in a row to not even see it restocked? Yeah, no thanks. I'll just drive myself crazy. I've done a few already, but I think I'll wait till next year or so to start baking again. :P

That was the 'now mentioned'. You also said "later in the day" on the 15th... I don't think it was crazy to worry that the MC suggestion was a replacement since it actually got done vs the free gift being MIA (edit: and I did wait to say something).

I like the MC for leveling up, but for just having an unopened one it's not worth it, to me.

I think this is a cute new feature and the Baking Supply from the MC for sure is making the start easier so thanks for that. For someone who is mostly accessing Subeta via phone right now using the Bakery admittedly isn't a pleasure but luckily I'm not in a hurry so I only check the page when I have pc access.

My bad on wording! My post said we were planning on it (I really thought I said something along the lines that "ideally I'd like to get it out" haha), but the idea of the Millionaire Center was good for the long run so I moved when I'll be doing the free gift. It's for sure still going to happen (on my schedule and everything), just further down the line (like the next batch of recipes, so people get a chance at some of the needed ingredients for free). :)

I know someone mentioned that baking supplies are being added to the donation corner for a couple days, but has anyone been able to grab some of the most needed ingredients (stick of butter, bag of powdered sugar, vanilla extract, etc.)? Or are they not added to the donation corner? I really like this event, but it's a little discouraging not being able to progress unless you buy baking starter kits from the MC.

Literally thousands (tens of thousands) of baking items were thrown in the DC, but not in proportion to what gets used. So all the ingredients you mentioned -- the staples -- were gobbled up. Of course, now people know what gets used all the time and prices will continue to be sky high until substitutes are allowed or the ingredients are no longer asked for. In either case, it will probably be quite a while before vanilla extract (et al) becomes affordable.

Ah okay, I wasn't sure if items were still being added at regular intervals or if they had just been added all at once. Darn that sucks. :/ Oh well, serves me right for waiting a day or two to start
