i got one essence from mystery box in like 25 tries and managed to restock 2 today.

You can bake with ostrich eggs I am pretty sure. I think the ratio is like 20 eggs in an ostrich egg or something like that.

Yep, Fantine doesn't recognize the Ostrich egg as a valid egg item.

That said, yeah, you can make like umpteen waffles with one of these bad boys IRL. That would be one huuuuuge batch of maple cookies.

If you click on the drop down menus on the recipe pages, I think it shows you what items she accepts for things like eggs and flour even if you don't have them in your inventory at the time.

The dropdown list was double checked. Despite being in my inventory, Fantine told me "no valid items!" when I checked the dropdown list for ostrich egg. The acceptable egg items shown do not include ostriches.

I'm not bothered by it, just thought it was funny.

10/16 recipes use the Vanilla Extract, with several rounds needed to level up, that's just crazy, prices will never go down to a decent level on that one. Surely there must be alternatives for that?

And don't tell me to restock one, I've been trying the whole time, haven't even seen one getting restocked, they're sold out that fast.

Restocked 2 yesterday, had the time to grab a canola oil before getting the second essence. It depends of the time of day (it was around 2-3pm Subeta time when I got mine)

Yeah, I've been relying on the baker's kit in the MC for extract. It does make for a great sP sink.
