I originally came to this thread because a search accidentally answered my unanswered question about whether we could get another starter kit for TC (thank you for planning to do so!) but I figure I'd take a moment to leave some feedback/another question:

A thing to consider would be allowing us to make ingredients to supplement the whole existing ingredient items? Like, I see tons of vanilla beans for example floating through the DC (and no Vanilla Extract).

I was kind of expecting that sort of feature for this, tbh! (Ever since I saw the comment ya'll made about the DC and "for later, we're cooking something up!" I've been thinking about what that could mean, and I thought maybe it would allow us to make ingredients on top of recipes, and to be able to make recipe pages like scrolls can be made.)

Just a suggestion for later content, perhaps!

I think it's fine to be honest, it will calm down with time. We could use a few more base ingredients, though. I'm surprised we didn't get more flour releases as there's only a couple, and it's going to be a key ingredient to almost every recipe. I'm sure they'll be more down the line, but it'll take a while for the prices to stabilise so sooner rather than later please. :)

I love the idea of being able to make the ingredients out of the items such as the Vanilla bean etc. But, I'll probably be backing away from this feature for the time being till all the prices even out.

Does this come with a chance of Fantines bakery being put on the Veta (or wherever it's based map? ^_^)

I was really happy until I cried because not enough stick of butter (would love vegan recipes okay?) They are rare in the DC too, which is testing a patience that I do not have (nor time). I am also kinda pissed off because I can't do specific food items that I would like to get. I don't want to end up with 3 maple cookies just to level up.

I would enjoy seeing the starter kit in the MC because I need it for a TC and to complete the recipes.

I really like this idea though yeah, the prices of items have soared in user shops.

That said, I think this is a really cute idea to use up baking ingredients outside of just having them being for the gourmand achievement and for pet treasures.

It's a really nice idea, and I'm looking forward to trying it once the site cooperates.

I'm incredibly glad there are items in the DC (even if I haven't seen vanilla extract or baking powder for an hour and a half of refreshing), because this definitely doesn't help:

I spent hours last night and again this morning looking for those ingredients and I haven't seen them either. Hopefully when we get this next round of supplies there will be plenty of both since they are needed in almost every recipe.

Yeah, and come to think of it, salt too.

At this point I'm just picking up random ingredients to hoard for a time I might possibly be able to use them later. xD

Said it in the news but I'll say it here too: It'd be cool if we could tie a pet to these skills (optionally). Like your Alchemist/Alchemy Assistant Pet, your Baker/Baking Assistant Pet...

Just some fun/extra dimensionality...

And yeah, inflation beh. Perhaps we could do something else for Fantine (search her disorganized store-room, a little quest with a huge item pool, etc) for a random ingredient. Though the lowered rarities will probably do the same thing, just slower.

I think it's a fun idea, but obviously not fun while prices are so high. I only baked one batch and of course they were burnt (how rude!) ^_^

I'll probably enjoy taking part in months to come, when prices have settled =)

Staff has said that achievements will be coming, though I'm not sure when or exactly what kind.

Will you be continuing to add to the Donation Center, or has that stopped now that the Millionaire Center has the items?

Also, I really wish the first SIX recipes didn't all have Vanilla Extract as an ingredient - I think that was a bad call, and it makes me less excited to level up because I'll just be stuck again. At least let us substitute Whole Vanilla Beans, or other extracts, idk.
