[-Dattoo] The angelic one too

I'm not sure if they have an official artist or if that artist is just busy. I know the bloodred one was revamped a while back and I think it was the person who did the darkmatter one. They both have a rounder fluffier look to them. The color fill ones just look glossy.

I'm having a hard time caring about this Babette item drive. It just feels a bit flat. The only incentives are an unknown forum title and influencing the colour of an NPC, neither of which I can really muster any excitement about. I feels like they've come up against so many complaints about small events in the past that they've just tried to please everyone this time, which leaves them with very little content.

I wasn't really fired up for it either. I donated some "red" items from my vault though.

Yeah, I chucked some red items at it, too, mostly because it was the first colour I thought of. It's a real missed opportunity to get rid of masses of underpriced and junky items. At the very least it might help clear out the DC a bit faster; about half the items currently in there qualify.

I donated a bunch of random items (white, gray, orange, pink, blue) that I had in my inventory. Probably should have fragged them, but oh well. This event seems to be directed at the people who care more about the lore (as Amber said, I think), which is cool since getting to influence it doesn't happen that often, even if this is a small thing.

I want to try and come up with a name for the new pet, but it's so difficult. Trying to avoid obvious elephant references and hackneyed Asian-sounding names composed of two words smushed together, I'm not left with much.

I liked the post to name it Puerh but it sounds too much like Poo-Er. I thought rooibos sounded better but it's an African tea not Asian. Maybe something with -cha in it.

A lot of them sound forced. A lot of them are Asian word mishmash or sound more like a species of Pokemon. I think we need something between those two.

Even so I'm liking Youkabai. Rolls off the tongue nicely. Doesn't make me feel like an Midwestern American trying to say Japanese words that I can't properly pronounce because my vocal cords just don't make those sounds.

There are also a lot of variations on "dreamaphant", or similarly obvious portmanteaus. I think a lot of people are leaning too heavily on the meanings of the names (or the parts of it), drawing on only a very narrow range of meanings, rather than trying to construct something which sounds like a realistic and pleasing species name.

There are a few I've seen which I like, but nothing stands out right now. I've given up reading through suggestions. Everything starts blurring together after a while. I'll form opinions after we get a short list. I don't envy the staff having to narrow it all down.

That's funky. I like it. I've been trying to go with birds/flying things as a pet theme, but I guess I'll make another exception if that's what it is lol.

Maybe not exactly that but it has the tusks, long nose, and mystical feline appearance that was in the post for the new pet.

I'm surprised there hasn't been an official announcement about minimods. I've seen a few new ones here and there, but I can't remember which forums got new mods, and who the existing mods for any forums are, so it's be useful to know what's what.

Despite my feeble efforts, one of my suggestions for the new pet name made to the final ten (although I may not have been the only one to suggest it). I'm exited to see it fail miserably.

Yuuta, which is actually coming 4th, so it's not a complete disaster after all. I will admit that I voted for my entry, but I did spend a long time considering all of them, so I feel justified in my choice.
