I decided to watch the baseball game so I turned the tv to FoxSports. Instead of the game it was Disney Jr. So I turned the tv to the Disney Jr. channel and it was a movie about the underground railroad.

So I decided to do it old school and flip through the channels until I found the game and I stopped on the NFL channel because instead of showing a four hour movie about football's greatest games, it's showing one of the An American Tail movies.

Still looking for that ballgame.

Dunno though. I'm all the way up to HBO. No game yet. So far it's only been those few channels. I've got that Charter Spectrum app on my phone and it works there.

It is a bit sad, but it's not so bad, really. For one, I only have a small flat with no garden, and my local cat rescue place is really strict about which cats they'll allow to be indoor-only, so I'd have had little to no choice in which cat to get. That and I was stressing about how to keep a cat happy in what space I have, having to keep the house clean, making sure it couldn't get foods which are toxic to cats etc.

Also, I've finally finished reading all of Game of Thrones, at last.

That makes a lot of sense. Pet happiness is important too! Also, are you not in the US? Most people here keep their cats indoors unless it's a more rural area.

I'm in the UK. Unless you live in a busy inner city area, it's generally expected here that you'll allow your cat access to the outside on its own terms. I do live in a city, but it's very small and you don't have to go far from the city centre to find houses with gardens, and the surrounding area is very green and rural. We have no large predators here, so that's one thing we don't have to worry about, I suppose. I think the largest predators we have are ordinary foxes, and deer are probably the largest of any wild animals here. I read a lot about indoor cats before looking into adoption, and it seems it's entirely possible to have a perfectly happy indoor-only cat, so I'm not sure why it's such a hang-up.

I really love how people are still complaining and being passive aggressive about being entitled to unlimited galleries and items in the news post comments. Pls cry more. At least this userbase still isn't as whiny as Gaia's?

I pulled my sP out of my till when I deleted my shop because I didn't imagine we'd get to transfer it :( I love the sliding header on the quick stock page though. I think I'm actually pretty comfortable with this change. Just waiting on minion zoos.

It's generally pretty accepted here that cats are better off indoors. It depends on who you're talking to. Some people get really enthusiastic about their animal opinions. I prefer to keep mine indoors because even if they weren't trouble to the local birds, I don't trust in the good will of strangers. Besides getting hit by cars, cats are easy/popular targets for shitty people.

I'd say they can be perfectly happy being indoor only. Mine are. They can get plenty of play and stimulation from you. I'd also say to be more worried about the objects they eat and not necessarily what foods are toxic. Obviously it's something you should know, but they're probably more likely to get sick because they ate some string or elastic bands or that netting that oranges/onions come in than because they ate a piece of onion or a potato chip (unless you're feeding them a lot people food). Easter grass is a bad one too. If you leave meat on the counter/in the sink to thaw keep an eye on it. Mine will tear into it.

Oh no! Maaaybe file a ticket if you're still going over shop till saver? The remove all option is everything I've been waiting for in shops tbh because it includes being able to remove all of one item WITHOUT refreshing the page.

Well, I started playing again a few weeks ago and the Gaia userbase makes all of us look like angels tbh, although they do also have to deal with ridiculous inflation and a company that doesn't care about non-paying users. They're just not friendly player to player. I quoted someone in a "chatterbox" thread telling them to feel better and they lashed out at me for "pretending to care about someone" who I don't even know. You know, the kind of people who shit on small talk for being "fake". That seems to be the general vibe.

I was far from the next tier. I think I'll just start selling wizard tokens because I don't vend that often anymore and I usually only get one item from the TS restocks.

I don't get the point of posting about your problem in a public forum if you're just going to get mad at people wishing you well. What kind of attention were they wanting..? Yeah, doesn't sound like fun.

After a couple posts of them telling me to get fucked/some really dry responses from me, they made another indirect post about how "people who can deal with [their] bitchiness without getting hostile are good people" and tipped me a bit of gold for my post (pretty routine on Gaia if someone makes a post you like etc). It was so bizarre it became funny.

That is pretty bizarre. I'm not sure what they were going for.

Oh, I've seen some very angry debates about indoor-only vs outdoor-sometimes cats. Some people are completely convinced that the other side is just the cruellest. Honestly, I'd prefer to have an indoor cat; at least then I don't have to worry about it all the time, and don't have the added issue of occasional half-dead "presents" being brought into the house.

Some people here will never stop complaining until the site fully accommodates the exact way they play the game, and to hell with anyone else or the good of the site overall. The negativity on this site is easily my least favourite thing here. I actively prefer the errors to all the whining. Everything has to be complained about, no matter how informative, accommodating, or helpful the staff might be. I found the general lack of understanding with the Lumi trees error to be particularly appalling.

I never played Gaia, so I can't comment there, but I don't think I've heard anything good about it in the last five years.

We have to have a mostly indoor cat, because A) my stepbitch in law completely declawed him without our permission when my husband was still at his dad's, and B) he hunts birds, even without claws. Well...he tries to. And tries for rabbits and squirrels. We keep him on a leash at all times if he's outside. I'm also terrified he'll get run over. Cars here in the US like to aim for cats because people are assholes.

He does bring us laundry as hunting gifts, actually. It's really cute.

I still have my Gaia account, and have for....a long time, but I'm rarely on, except to design avvis. I hate how people treat each other on there, and the avi design is the safest forum, anymore.

Mine have never brought me presents. I had one back in high school that would play fetch with hair bands, if that counts. And my dog will sometimes, rarely though, greet me at the door with a toy when I get home.

We had outdoor cats when I was growing up and, it was a common occurrence to find random dead rodents on the doorstep. Sometimes half eaten, sometimes untouched, sometimes just a random pile of entrails. They had a weird habit of killing voles and just not eating them. Mice and rabbits were fine, but voles are apparently yucky (but still deserving of death).

right, I hate how people will go out of their way to poison or hurt others' pets. I'm sure it happens elsewhere but still, ugh. Your cat sounds badass though. I've been meaning to check out that forum! The "welcome/intro" forum is also super nice, but heck to everything else.

Exactly. Obviously there's a lot of problems and a lot of coding needs to be overhauled, but honestly the admins here are much more transparent about what's going on than sites like the now-defunct Unicreatures etc. And I remember they made certain parts of the last event (Spirit whatever) more accessible to disabled people after people brought that up, but at least the negative reactions to that change were very unpopular. Your cats are also badass.
