Not tried carrot with ginger, with corriander is good. I have tried parsnip soup, that's a tricky flavour to work with. Very sweet, yet strong.

Cauliflower and cheese soup is great but less healthy!

Green spaces are very valuable. Can you grow anything in the windows? We have home grown herbs and things like chilli plants in limited space. Make for nice flavours.

Unfortunately our windows are right under the 2nd floor walkway, so no good sunlight :(

A nap would be nice :) I love naps lol. I went to bed a midnight and was up at 5:30 to make sure my husband was up in time to get ready for work and such.

My excuse is just that I can't sleep. And my mom is likely to be awake soon since she somehow gets up at around 8 or 9am on work days without an alarm (when she really doesn't need to leave until noon).

Meh, maybe I'll get some sleep when she heads out. I might 'steal' her bed 'caust I sleep on the living room floor, and her bed is a lot more comfortable. I just have to share it with 2 bed-hogging dogs if I do that XD

I wish my dog would hog the bed, but she likes to sleep on the floor around it or in the bathroom on the cold floor near the tub.

I went to sleep around...11am, and woke up maybe 15 minutes ago (3:45pm-ish?) and in the kitchen I saw the remains of a heavy glass ashtray in bunches of pieces. I have NO idea how I didn't wake up when it hit the floor (and it was about 5 feet off the ground on top of the toaster oven).

Or maybe I did wake up, but dont remember it? XD
