@ kbbob i was away, unfortunately, and didn't get to. i killed a bunch of the minis, and like 2 of the flying ones, but between appointments and being sick with a cold (and laryngitis!) i didn't even get to get on Subeta until it was all over. xD It was fun what i got to do with it though!!

As much as I'd love a full-fledged plot, I don't want any more of those stupid "be one of the first x number of people to finish this step!" like they did for the Sacred Lands plot thing a few years back. I want to be able to enjoy the plot steps and be able to figure it out at my own pace instead of rushing through every step (I only missed one of those achievements, but I hated having to be online EXACTLY when they were releasing the step.)

Yeah, I wouldn't mind having a good plot with some really challenging steps or puzzles/riddles and things to figure out. But I agree, I'd rather just have achievements or prizes for getting through them no matter if you were first or one of the last ones to finish (as long as you finish within the deadline of the whole thing). Certainly not everyone can be online 24/7. I understand wanting to keep people coming back and rewarding participation, but I think just having a big event in the first place would be enough to keep people around.

Although I'm not really expecting anything too elaborate any time soon. I know they have enough other stuff on their plate right now, with taking care of some of the more minor site issues now that the errors are like 99% gone. I still hope we get something interesting to do over the summer though!

Yes, that was a huge turn off to that event... once I ran into that it was like, meh, can't be fast enough so why bother at all.

I wouldn't mind it if it were like "finished within x amount of time after starting the puzzle/getting to a certain page," but having to be online at a certain time every single day was tough, and it obviously cut out a large portion of the user base who were in different time zones.

That might be a better idea, as long as the amount of time was reasonable.

Also seems like that new help chat with the staff may be ready soon. I've got a chat bubble with a ? in the lower right corner on all of my pages now, and clicking it opens the chat portal thing.
