"Thanks! That does sound like a nice flavor!" said Hannah to Poppy. "Thanks! Were not sure where Aderyn () and Kendra () are. Could you maybe point them out?" asked Hannah to Beth. "Actually I'm Peter Pan," said Caleb twirling around Beth in his tights merrily. "Strawberries are pretty nice! Ummm..no but Caleb here has been collecting some." said Hannah to Gwen. "Yeah, I have a few. Do you collect cards and if so do, do you have Ignatia Wildsmith Chocolate Frog Card?" asked Caleb to Gwen still skipping around.

Adrien smoothed down the front of his suit and brushed a few stray strands of hair from his brow as he waited in front of the carriages at the castle's entrance for his character's complement to come down the stairs. He was excited to see the rest of his friends down at the ball when they arrived. He just hoped that people would be able to recognize him. He'd brewed a potion to grow out the sides of his hair and charmed it slightly darker. He'd also charmed his eyes a darker colour for the night, so he was looking completely different than he normally does.

"Ooh, I love how prepared you are! It's so cute. Will you teach me how to do extension charms? Is that what you did to your bag?"

Poppy stopped by a Gryffindor to give her a quick hug. "I decided to be brave like you and wear Cinderella's glass slippers. You look perfect tonight."

"Fade, right? I just wanted to tell you that you look like a real prince in that costume."

Spinning on his heels Fade turned to find Beth ()in a beautiful dress and complimentary crown. “Er, well sort of. I guess.” Just the very tips of his hair turned a dull pink. “Not so charming actually.” He laughed at himself, and the hue deepened. “Let me think… Snow White?” Was that story exclusively a muggle fairy tale? Luckily Magnus () happened to pass bye just at the right time. “Hey Magnus! We could be twins.” He grinned dumbly and pushed some more hair away from his face. When he noticed Sam () he almost fell over.

Regaining his composure he noticed approaching and stood up a little straighter. “I’m Fade. Ravenclaw.” He stammered, unsure of how to take the compliment, it was one of those things he wasn’t very good at. “Sorry but I can’t exactly place yours. Who are you?” The blush that had been fading away took over once again and even more of his blonde hair washed a bright red.

Just then the Headmistress took the stage and introduced the first act. The stage was so breathtaking Fade stood with his mouth agape for quite a while before he realized it. Jumping slightly when complimented his outfit, he snapped back into reality. It took considerable effort to keep his hair from turning red again. “Thank you!” It was getting easier, but it was still weird. “Are you the Snow Queen?” Maybe an ambiguous question would prevent him from guessing entirely wrong. Queen Elsa was probably more appealing to the general population, but there was always a chance she had dressed as the Snow Queen from the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Gwen blushes, she isn't use to talking to too many boys. "No I don't have that one, I am missing about half still. I seem to get a lot of Newt Scamander though."

"Right. My name is Sauvage. Sauvage Chevaux. We haven't met before, I just thought I'd...well, the ball is all about socializing and meeting new people. Plus, I'm sort of new...I transferred just a few months ago and I..." Sauvage glances at her surroundings, looking everywhere except at Fade. She doesn't normally get so flustered when meeting new people. "Sorry, I'm making a total fool of myself." She shakes her head and with that her nerves have calmed. "Anyway, hi." She smiles confidently, or what she hopes looks like a confident smile, and tries to think of a question to get the conversation rolling. Maybe she should just walk away...

Sam smiled politely "You need to get to know more animagi" she said. "You'd be surprised." "Thanks! I gave up on the real glass slippers, so the sparkles make these muggle shoes look like the real thing. I had a lot of help with the hair. It seems so strange to let it be my natural color though. I'd really gotten used to coloring it all the time." "Hi! you look great!"

Aderyn had been mingling happily with her classmates throughout the start of the ball - there were just so many people around that she was losing track of everyone! She was just about to excuse herself to get some pumpkin juice when headmistress Persnickety announced the opening act and she got swept up in applauding him along with everyone else. As the music began, she looked around at all of her friends.

"Who wants to dance?"

She did well in pairs and small groups but large groups made her feel a bit anxious. So she stayed quiet and nodded and smiled as people talked, standing at Aderyn's side.

After a few more minutes, she excused herself and walked off to get herself and Aderyn some punch. She came back not too long later, just after the opening act had been announced.

"I brought you some fruit punch," she told Aderyn loudly over the music, handing over the goblet. She took a sip of her own. "Mmm its sparkling!"

"You should try the punch!" she said to whoever was nearest her, trying to assimilate herself back into the conversations. "Its delicious!"

Aderyn smiled at Emmy as the girl came back to her side, accepting the proffered glass of sparkling punch she'd been offered. She took a few sips of the punch, immediately feeling the sugar start to make her head buzz and she giggled.

"Do you want to dance, or would you rather try bobbing for apples?"

"We look very dapper indeed, Fade." He smiled. "I was hopin' Fair Sam o' Slytherin would agree to honour me with a dance. Wouldst milady oblige me?" He bowed and offered his hand to her.

Megan stepped out of a blue Pumpkin carriage, late to the party. It her longer than she had anticipated to put the wings on and once they were on she got stuck going out her dormitory door. Thankfully, no one had been around to see her embarrassment and she was able to just barely catch a carriage to where the party had begun.

Smoothing her dress down, she took in the sights of the magical enchantments placed around the circle. Unsure of what she should do with herself she went to the table with refreshments and helped herself to some butterbeer, her drink of choice. Taking in the ambiance, she noticed her new friend, Gwen (), talking to three people she had never seen before. Curious, she made her way over to them.

"How are you, Gwen? You look fantastic!" she exclaimed. "Oh how rude of me, hello! I'm Megan from Hufflepuff. How do you do?" she greeted the others.

"I would love to" Sam replied, attempting a curtsy before taking Magnus' proffered hand and letting him lead her onto the dance floor. "I've been practicing" she whispered "I don't bump into stuff nearly so much now."

"I have an extra if you want it. All I have to do is go back upstairs to get it." said Caleb Happily to Gwen. "How do you do Megan, My name is Hannah, this here in green is Caleb and the one in the top hat is Demeogo. Nice to meet you!" said Hannah to Megan, happy to have made a friend.

OOH! I have never heard of the muggle character Mercy Thompson. Coyote, eh? So she's an animagus. Sam ( Turokai ) is of the opinion I haven't met enough of those... but I still shudder. I like animagi like Rita Skeeter's... not that I would want to squish her or anything like that! But still... Hi ! Looking good! Megan ( ) you are looking particularly beautiful this evening. I didn't notice the trio of Peter Pan characters you came with. Great job! Does Kendra ( ) know? She's Tinkerbell. So cool you have a hobby! I am not much into muggle movies. They are fascinating concept though! I never heard of the little mermaid original from Japan! did MG ( ) show up? She left a message somewhere that she is here...

It really didn't help that they waited till last minute to decide on what to be. Taking the stairs as quickly as possible Gaia didn't realized she had made it to the entrance of the castle noticing quickly nothing was happening in the Great Hall. Looking toward the castle entrance Gaia noticed the carriages and saw Adrien () standing there. Blushing and grinning Gaia made her way towards her friend curtsied and giggled. "I think tonight is going to be a lot of fun!" She adjusted her dress once more before looking at Adrien.

Adrien watched as came down the steps of the castle and was pretty sure a small blush creeped up on his face. "Wow... Gaia, you look incredible!" He said while handing her the rose he had. He walked to the door of one of the carriages and opened it, extending his hand to Gaia, "Shall we?" He said with a grin.

I am sure our friends are waiting for us. It seems we like to make an entrance!" Gaia joked as she looked out admiring the beauty of the castle grounds.

"Of course we have to make an entrance! We are royalty for the night, aren't we?" he said with a laugh and once the carriage reach the tent, he helped Gaia down onto the ground. With an affectionate pat to the Thestral's muzzle, he offered Gaia the crook of his arm and escorted her into the ball.

Gaia beamed it did feel like a Fairytale magical type of night.
