"Oh I know!" Kendra giggled. "I've seen you around, but we've never talked much. What's your favorite class this term?" She asked, trying to make conversation.

"Half-fairy?? I never knew that. If I was half-fairy, I'd be bragging about it all the time!"

"Oh! We met briefly at the band tryouts. I'm Aderyn, Ravenclaw. Thank you! You look amazing, too! I'd never have thought of a shrinking charm! You make a perfect Tinkerbell."

She blushed as Emmy flattered her, explaining that she was part fae. She fluttered her wings a little for effect. In going with the headmistress' encouragement for them to mingle, she looked at Kendra again.

"So, Kendra, what's your favorite type of music? I'm curious as to what style the band will play in."

She leaned closer to Emmy, squeezing her girlfriend's hand. As Kendra asked what their favorite classes were, she immediately perked up in true Ravenclaw fashion.

"Oh, it's so hard to choose! I adore Potions... but Herbology is amazing, too. And Ancient Runes, of course!"

"You really do look gorgeous," Emmy told her, wishing she looked so naturally beautiful herself. It'd taken a lot of work to look as good as she did that evening.

Emmy answered without consideration, because her favourite classes were always the same. "Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology are my favourites, always are," she said happily. "Although this term I'm really like charms and transfig."

"I hope they do rock music," Emmy said hopefully, at Aderyn's question. She knew it had been meant for Kendra but she wanted to chime in. "Although judging by their name and instruments, they probably won't be." she chuckled.

"Wait, do you play an instrument, Aderyn?" Emmy asked, "I can't remember!"

"You look gorgeous, too, lovely," she said with a smile.

She shook her head as Emmy asked if she played any sort of an instrument.

"No," she replied. "Dad was always after me to pick up some sort of instrument when I was little, but I didn't have a knack for music, so I just stayed away and hung 'round in the garden instead."

"Oh yes, I remember you from the tryouts. I ended up having to leave suddenly." She sighed, a look of sadness in her eyes, but shrugged it off quickly.

"I'm mostly into rock music! Some people are surprised when I tell them that, though I'm not sure why."

She turned to Emmy after hearing that she likes rock music too. "What are some of your favorite rock bands?"

She perked up instantly at the mention of Herbology, seeing that they both enjoyed it as well. "Herbology has always been my favorite! But I love Care of Magical Creatures too, Emmy. It's fun to learn about the different animals. At times I've hoped to have my own dragon one day!"

Magnus arrived at the enterence of the Slytherin common room with a little bit of nerves. He was bedecked out to look like Prince Henry from Cinderella. The only thing he had to forgo was his top hat but he was very looking forward to the dance.
He had a flower to give Sam too.

The trio looked at one another. "Oh my gosh!! You cut your hair it looks cute!" said Hannah to Caleb. "It would be fine if I didn't miss the thickness of it. You can see my ears a little more now.." said Caleb trying to brush his hair more to hide them. "And Deme you don't have that black makeup you usually do that hides most of your face." said Hannah. "I know..I kind of miss it and I hope this ball isn't to long. I would have loved if it was if I hadn't this shortish shirt. I couldn't find anything long enough that was white, stupid picture in Caleb's Disney book." "Well how did I know you only had that shirt? You do have shorts under like I do right? Or.." Caleb smiled with a wicked grin. "HEY! EVERYBODY! DEME HAS NO PANTS!" yelled Caleb to everyone there. "That's not funny Caleb." said Hannah. "IT'S NO TRUE EVERYONE I HAVE SHORTS UNDER THIS!!" yelled Deme in continuation to Hannah. "Why the spikes?" asked Deme to Hannah. "I thought I would be like RAWR and stuff, punkish looking." said Hannah to him. "Hi everyone! How are you all? What is your favorite type of jellybean? My name is Hannah and I can't wait to meet you all!" said Hannah loud enough for others around her to hear.

Sam fidgeted as one of her fellow Slytherins helped her get ready for the ball. "Stop tugging at those straps!" The older girl admonished, slapping Sam's hand away from the bosom of her dress. "Cleavage is a good thing, be happy you have it. This dress is meant to show off your assets, so stop trying to cover up." She had repeatedly denied Sam's requests for a scarf, stole, or a larger, more concealing necklace. At least the clear 'jelly' shoes one of the muggle-born girls had loaned her were easy to walk in. With a touch of magic sparkle they passed nicely for enchanted glass slippers and were quite comfortable on her feet. A knock at the stone wall that hid their common room, echoed down the entrance passage. The older girl frowned at Sam for telling a Griffindor student where their dungeon common room was hidden, but Sam was already running up the passage to greet Magnus.

Gwen cannot help but laugh when the trio shows up! She hopes that it doesn't get cold for Deme - but the costume does make her blush.

"um... My favorite jellybean is popcorn, it is actually the only one I will eat unless the color is red. What is your favorite type of candy - jellybeans? Aren't they a little too sweet?

"Well, I don't really know any wizarding bands except the Weird Sisters," she said, "but I love Muggle rock. My favourite is the Beatles! I grew up with their music, both of my parents are huge fans. How about you?"

"What red ones do you like? and my favorite candy is chocolate frogs, their yummy^^" said Hannah to Gwen:)

Sauvage steps nervously out of her classic orange pumpkin carriage, watching it leave behind her since she was thelast one inside. Ugh. She knew she should have brought one of her friends from her old school with her. It sucks transferring schools as a third year. Sauvage perks up at the sound of a familiar voice. Though she doesn't quite recognize the girl, the voice is surely familiar. Sauvage casually walks over to a group of girls and nods her head to the one who is clearly rocking the color purple. Sauvage smiles her best "let's be friends" smile and, while hoping she isn't interrupting anything important, says:

"Hi! You're in Hufflepuff, too, right?"

She smiled and glanced around the dance floor as the hall began to really fill up. She watched a girl she'd never met before walk towards them and gave her a friendly wave. Though the girl had spoken to Emmy, Aderyn addressed her first, not sure that Emmy had heard the girl over her own conversation with Kendra

"Yes, she is - this is Emmy. I'm Aderyn, Ravenclaw. It's nice to meet you! What's your name?"

"It is me Chook pretending to be the big bad wolf in Red Riding Hood. That is a fairy tale isn't it??? Think I will be a very clumsy dancer at this ball tho."

Gryffindor

Magnus stared as Sam came out of her common room. It took him a few moments to find his speech. "You look stunning," he said. Handing her the flower he offered her the crook of his arm. "I am sorry the flower is not nearly as pretty as the lady before me."

She allowed Aderyn to finish her sentence before chiming in.

"Hi! Yep, I'm in Hufflepuff. I've seen you around the common room, what year are you in again? " Emmy asked with a smile. "I love your outfit by the way, very nature-y!"

No one to talk to and then two all at once! "Oh, my name is Sauvage. I'm a third year. And thanks for the compliment! It took me forever to get the wing potion right."

She turns to Aderyn and says, "Although, it doesn't look like you have that problem. Your wings are so beautiful - they must be real!" She then blushes, realizing she definitely interrupted them. "I'm sorry. I didn't even think...I totally just butted into your conversation."

"Wow," Sam breathed, gazing admiringly at Magnus' princely attire. "You look great!" she added taking the proffered flower. "This is beautiful, thank you!"

Rox heard a voice as soon as she descended from the carriage. When she turned around she saw Poppy (). "Hello" she said. "Nice to see you again".

She then turned around, she was hoping to see some other Gryffs in already, she saw none of them. So she turned back to the carriages. Maybe some of them would be in the next few arriving carriages.

She noticed Judy (). Judy asked her if she wanted to share a table. "Of course, I would like that" she said.

Before heading towards the tent, Rox turned around again. She was hoping MG () would be in quickly too. She was curious to see her outfit.

She then overheard a question from Hannah (). "Nice to meet you Hannah" she said. "My favorite type of jellybean has to be Chocolate, but I also love banana".

"It pales in comparison," he insisted, though still pleased she liked his outfit. When they entered he was amazed at how lovely it was. "Woah isn't this amazing?" He looked around for his friends they hadn't gotten very far when someone he'd never met asked him what kind of jellybeans he liked... Well that seemed random. "Don't like sweets really," he said unsure what to say. Hoping to be friendly he asked, "Um, what's you're favourite colour? Mine's orange, though," he said looking Sam's dress, "blue might be my new favourite. What about you Sam? Do you have a favourite colour?"
