Aderyn glanced over Adrien's shoulder, reaching for a magazine and picking it up. Flipping through it, she stared at the pictures therein.

"It's so strange how muggle pictures don't move!"

She set the magazine back down and waved a hello to Magnus as he joined them. Turning her attention to Gaia, she smiled.

"I've got my date picked already. I haven't officially asked her yet, but if she says no, I may have to break up with her."

She giggled and thought of her girlfriend, glancing around to see if she'd arrived yet.

He waved at Aderyn. "Me first date," he said blushing deeply. "Sam an' I are goin' together. I 'ad thoughts o' looking all smarmy. I'd thought o' a top 'at, coat with tails, cape, cloves, cravat, vest and shirt with a frilly thingy on me neck."

Aria ran up to the notice and quickly read the note. The rumors were true, there was going to be a ball!! "My first ball," Aria whispered in excited shock. She turned and began walking away in almost a daze because her thoughts were swirling around inside her head at so many things that could happen at a ball.

I am sure we can spin it!" Gaia skipped away to a rack on the other side of the Great Hall. Then stopped, looked at Magnus and very seriously asked "What is she wearing?" Then she noticed Aria () "Come join us! We have a whole section here to brain storm!"

"Think Dracula does, but 'e don't really count as a faerie tale I don't think... Er she said somethin' 'bout wearing leather with studs or rhinestones on it. I'm not sure if she's changed 'er mind on account 'o the theme."

() Gaia was getting impatient and rolled her eyes "not Dracula." Gaia looked around to see if she could find Sam () to ask if she had an outfit planned. Nothing like unplanned date outfits to clash... the horror. Gaia shuddered and went back to the racks.

Aria looked up at Gaia and smiled, totally unaware of what she had said because her thoughts were racing. "Alright," she mumbled and went to join Magnus and Gaia. "I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around this!" Aria whispered, feeling almost embarrassed, "I've never been to a ball, or anything where I get to dress up before." Aria's face turned red as she was about to burst into tears but hid her tears by looking at Dax.

"Well, I'm going as a fairy princess, of course! I think Emmy was thinking of going as a Dryad."

"I think you'll look fantastic! Like a count or duke from an old time novel!"

"That was me thoughts," he said to Aderyn. "I borrowed romance novels when I was in the orphanage and always thought of me first dance like that." He could sense Gaia's frustration but he wasn't trying to make her annoyed. "Don't want 'er ta see it though, not till I pick 'er up at 'er common room door." Gaia showed him some items and he nodded, "Yes ma'am. Me Dad said he's send me brand new clothing if I found the right items."

"I'm sure we can get you all fixed up without letting Sam see your outfit! It'll be our secret!"

Gaia was looking excitedly at Aderyn. ()

"That's an excellent idea! I'm sure we could put together some gorgeous corsages if we put our heads together! I'll talk to the professor later and get permission to put in a small flower patch of our own! Who knows, we might even get a few house point for Ravenclaw in the process!"

She grinned and winked.

() "Even without the points I am really excited! I wonder if the headmistress is around here." () Gaia got on top of a stool to look over the crowd.

"Me, too; I just love to grow things! We could grow them in every color, too, so that they match everyone's outfits!"

() "Yes! I do think they have regular muggle flower seeds there too. I think a little magic we can grow them in time for the ball."

He smiled a little shyly. "I wanna make it a wonderful night for 'er and all. I asked if I could grow some flowers in Green house 3. I thought some Snake's head fritillaries, cos she can talk ta snakes and all. Plus they are unusual and rather pretty. Me professor started giggling but in the end said yes and she'd 'elp me make a corsage." here's the flower

() "Oh, well that works! Greenhouse 3 is advance, but 1 is barely used so we can grow things there without bothering anyone."

"The flowers are rather rare now, but she said she'd 'elp me if I get in a muddle. I'm pretty okay at Herbology though. "
