Cardamom considered what Harper was asking. "I certainly had issues coming up with one. I do think some people are going a little less specific - someone mentioned in Hogsmeade about possibly getting a group to be the 12 dancing princesses. Was that you, Millie, who mentioned it?"

"And no, I didn't come from the common room, sorry - I was waiting up in the owlery for this package from home." Cookies did sound good though... "Think I could do a summoning charm? Would they make it here?"

"General things are good because people can be freer coming up with their outfits. I've always loved the idea of knights and ladies and things like that."

"Haha, thanks Cardamom! Those sleeves are to die for. Do you know any foreign fairytales? Those silks look very exotic and striking. I suppose you could just be a princess? Maybe a sorceress because the baddies are fun to dress up as."

Poppy helped herself to a mug of tea with lots of honey and found a chair. She decided to rest for a bit before considering hairstyles. Hopefully some more Slytherins () would come in looking for help preparing for the ball.

"I am going as a princess from a Persian fairy tale." she mentioned to Harper (), "The tale is more about the princes, but I love that the princesses transform out of pomegranates. And there is no description for them really - so maybe find a tale with nondescript characters?"

Cardamom nibbled on one of Millie's cookies and looked over the gowns that Poppy had brought out. They were gorgeous. "I love these. Especially the red and black. Maybe something like this?"

Millie summoned her dress and matched it with the wig she found "Yes, I think this will work perfectly for Rapunzel

Cardamom nodded and tucked it away for future use at the ball. "I should probably wear some kind of headpiece with this. What do you think of these?" She held up a couple of options for the other to see.

"I like the one with the veil, but there aren't any... horn-adorned princesses in the story."

She looked over Millie's selections. "Those are lovely, I love the wig!! I did not think of that idea. I was just going to charm my hair to black for the evening. Oh man, could you charm your footsteps so that wherever you go, there are flowers in your wake? That would be awesome."

"Oh, wow! Your mom has great taste. Sleeves fit for a princess," Beth told her. She began looking through the racks of dresses, trying to find the perfect gown for Cardamom. She made her way back to the group in time to see that Cardamom found a beautiful gown for her costume.

"Wow. That dress is absolutely gorgeous. You're going to be the belle of the ball," she told Cardamom.

Paddy took a couple of snacks from the table, while she listened to everyone else talking, trying to get some inspiration. She smiled as Magnus dribbled butterbeer down his front - as her Mum would say, he definitely had the hots for Sam. She hadn't anticipated him taking his shirt off, nor the striking set of muscles. Quickly looking away, she realised she'd have to get on and pick an outfit, otherwise she really would have to go as the wolf. As she was about to walk back to the rails of clothes, she heard Magnus mention the Wolf in Red Riding Hood's clothing. Sher was sure there'd been a red dress on the rails somewhere, so resisting the temptation to give him a hug as a thank you for the idea, and hoping nobody else had picked the dress, she dived back into the rails to try and find it.

, . Sam was afraid to breathe. and when Magnus spilled butterbeer on himself, only her unfamiliarity with waking in the dressy glass shoes kept her from running to his side. When he took off his shirt, even her ears turned red. "Erm, maybe I can get someone to help me with my hair." she said, backing uncertainly towards the dressing area.
"The doxies got into all my hair stuff, and the last time I tried my own hair potion I had little pumpkins growing out of my head. Oh, and I guess a coyote fang's not really Cinderella-y"
She tugged at her reddening ear, only to notice the the bright flush had extended to newly embarrassing areas. Covering her chest with both hands, she turned to flee, only to trip over the sweeping hem of her dress, and tumble to a heap on the floor.

She placed the wreath on her head for fun since she wasn't trying on the gowns like the other girls. Content to sit back and watch now that she was done, Cardamom instead immediately got to her feet when Sam {{}} took a tumble. But got to her first and already had the younger girl up on her feet, blushing from head to toe. Darn - she wanted to tease her about Magnus {{}} so much but she'd hold off just in case it wasn't taken in the right way.

HOw about something green? Or not... Is Fiona from a Fairy Tale? These muggle stories all flow into each other in my head... Beth, all the choices muddle me! One of the lovelies with brown hair. If I didn't misplace the wig... but I also was thinking an unnamed fairy would be fun. Seedlings in little pots are my specialty! I am not much with fertilizer. I like wand encouragement. Seems less random! Sometimes it's just easier to be told "here, wear this" innit??? Besdies a gaggle of geese/girls, there's always a Pride (of lions, but those are usually one male and lots of females) :D which does nothing to help figure out what to wear...

Adrien shook his head; he'd zoned out over by the refreshments table. He made his way over to the section of the Great Hall his friends were at and took another seat at the table, sipping his butterbeer and looked around him. "Do you guys need any help? I can't guarantee how much I can do, but I'll be as helpful as I can." He smiled at everyone. He watched as Gaia went after Paddy to help her find her things. He looked at Cardamom and saw her new pieces to her outfit, "I see you were able to find a piece to match what your mum sent? That's great!"
