"You're right, that first one looks incredible," Paddy replied (), trying it on. "That's definitely better than the one I found, thanks!" As she was talking, she spotted a different dress sticking out from between two soft pink lacy tops, but it was a lot shorter than the one she'd found to start with.
Paddy was relieved that most of the others didn't have dates either. At least she wouldn't stand out as being unusual going on her own. She caught sight of something out of the corner of her eye and noticed Magnus teaching Sam how to dance. Hang on, was he wearing a skirt? Marvelling at his confidence, she watched him dance and was in awe at his skills.
Paddy made a snap decision and went to change into the other dress she'd found. If Magnus had the confidence to teach dancing while wearing a skirt, then she wouldn't have any excuse to not wear a shorter dress.

The look of surprise on Gaia's face was good. But at least he had something to do now. Magnus was struggling with just sitting still whilst the girls were doing girl things. He was much better, and less likely to be in trouble, if he had something to focus on. Maybe the idea of putting the skirt on to help a friend feel less self concious was weird... but he was secure enough and he was always down for a laugh--even if it was in his direction. If everyone was amused it made it all the better to him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Paddy trying on red riding hood outfits. She seemed to be gaining some confidence there. Probably all the girls about her. Girl power and all... it certainly couldn't have been his influence at all.
Paddy pulled out a pair of red shoes and tried them on. She wasn't really all that keen on any footwear, but the more dainty the shoe, the dafter she felt cramming her fur-covered paw into them, and the less said about heels. the better. "I think I need a few dancing lessons," she said to Gaia, "otherwise I might get noticed for all the wrong reasons."
Still feeling self-conscious, she walked over to Magnus and Sam. "Hope you don't mind me joining you two, but I haven't a clue on dancing, and thought I might be able to pick up a few tips."

() "What about boots?" Gaia noticed Paddy looking for shoes. "Boots can turn the outfit from hey to HEEEEEEEY" Gaia laughed. "I can teach you to dance. I am sure Magnus would help you too!" ()
"Sure thing, Paddy." He hear Gaia call after that she could teach dancing too. "Wanna 'elp Gaia or having fun with fashion?"
"I'm so happy you like it! It really suits your pale skin and dark hair."
"What do you think of being a genie? I think you'd look amazing in gauzy silks and you're definitely working some wish granting here."
"Those are pretty Millie! What about these for your lips?"
"I think these potted ones are a bit nicer, but I totally agree that you need glitter."
Poppy disappeared into the shoe racks and emerged with some choices for . "You look darling! Do you like any of these shoes? I tried to pick shoes that would be cute with your costume and comfortable for you."

() "Of course I can help! Dancing is in my blood, all though, I am more of a fast paced Caribbean rhythm." Gaia swayed her hips and did some salsa in the spot.
Gaia smiled at Poppy's idea () "I actually considered Meg from Hercules. She has big hair and sexy vibes! Also any excuse to have a winged horse around is great! You are giving me lots to think about!"
"Those are really pretty. I like this one the best "
Paddy tried a quick twirl on the spot, and almost tripped over her feet. "Thought so, these shoes aren't any good either," she said under her breath, "maybe has a point about boots being better." Turning to her friend, she called out "you're busy enough picking outfits to help everyone, so I'll ask Magnus () to teach me some dance steps.... if he's brave enough."
Suddenly appeared, holding three pairs of boots for her to try. If only I had this skill at picking out clothing for people she thought, as she tried them on. She was certain the low heeled ones would be the best, but trying on the made her change her mind immediately; they'd require some practise at walking in, but she had to admit they looked stunning. "How do you manage to pick out such amazing items?" she asked, marvelling at how the boots brought out the lace in the dress.
"If you're feeling brave enough," she added to Magnus, "I'm ready to learn some dancing tips.... just nothing so adventurous that I fall flat on my face."

" I think the boots are amazing! There is something about heels that change how a woman carries herself! I am excited!" Gaia said beaming at her friend.
"Just as long as the heels don't mean I fall flat on my rear, I'm happy," Paddy replied with a grin, wondering how people managed to wear high heels and walk, let alone dance.

"We can always practice! We can have a catwalk here for heel walking practice!" Gaia laughed thinking how fun it would be made her want to put heels on.
()
"If it means I get to see other people struggling to wear these things, then I'm all for it!" replied Paddy as she almost tripped on the heel of her boots.

"Salsa is fun as is tango. Actually I pretty much like all dancing its kinda like a sport. You'll be fine. Think of it like walking but with a more attuned purpose." He showed a simple box step and then a slightly more complicated series of movements. Then he quickly sketched them down and added the movement charm so both Sam and Paddy could have references.
( ) "I think it is time we make a stage for walking and clear some room for dance lessons! Anyone else up for a walk in heels and dance lesson?" Gaia walked over to professor Morgan and professor Mathers. () "Is it possible for us to have a long stage for practice walking in heels and clear some room for dance lessons-practice? Oh, and the gramophone was left here but we haven't used it, could we use that too? The band try-outs left us ready to party!" Gaia was bouncing as she waited for the professors to respond. "You can come help us learn some classic dancing if you are into that!" Gaia beamed it would be nice to have everyone involved.

"sounds great ta me," Magnus said. Gaia's excitement was rubbing off it seemed.
Aria ran up to () Beth and () Paddy with a big grin on her face. “After a full night of going over everything and trying on hundred of outfits--” she was cut off by noises from Dax, as he started flapping his wings at the mention of how many outfits Aria had tried on. “--with Dax’s help,” Aria amended before continuing on. “I finally came up with the perfect outfit!” Aria twirled in the middle of the room, “I decided to stick with the Rapunzel theme.” Aria paraded about the room before finding a plate of cookies and devouring several of them.
Aria accepted the milk that () Gaia handed her with a grateful nod. She blushed as she realized everyone must know of her obsession with cookies now. Aria turned to ()Magnus to see what he was wearing, “Lookin’ good!” she said with a smile. She handed Magnus some cookies and grabbed a few more herself. “Oh, these cookies are so heavenly!” she exclaimed while munching on several different type of cookies at once. Aria looked for ()Millie so she could thank her again, and get a recipe for this cinnamon one but could not find her.
Aria noticed Dax staring at the plates of cookies, with his focus attuned to one that looked like it was dipped in sparkles. She giggled as he carefully walked around the table and tried to look innocent before stealing one of the sparkled cookies, eating it in one bite. His happy purr could be heard across the room though and his body wiggled in delight.

I really really extremely want:"I don't know about you Paddy, but I think I better cast a padding charm on my tush before we get started. I keep getting my feet tangled up in the skirt. Thank goodness those glass slippers don't have heels or I'd have to levitate myself the whole dance!" She laughed gaily, the embarrassment over her appearance fading as she realized she wasn't the only one unfamiliar with all this feminine stuff. Of course, it was hard not to laugh, watching Magnus demonstrate the steps in his borrowed skirt. "I'd rather not find myself dancing with the Bloody Baron, so I'd better learn to stay on my feet!" She added holding her skirt out with one hand, and attempting to get her left and right feet sorted out to do the steps on the diagram that he had drawn for her.
"Thanks," he said, "I'll save 'em for later." He took the cookies and slipped them in his pockets. No one had noticed he never ate the sweets. He watched the griffin cautiously and when it didn't appear to be coming near him he was happier. "Worse comes to worse, Sam, I will charm me shoes and you can stand on them. But like I said, you wanna go in jeans its okay." His eyes looking very stern and concerned, "I just want you ta 'ave fun so, if it aint fun for you then we can skip the ball and go toss a Quaffle around on the pitch."
"Oh, we definitely need to toss the Quaffle some more, and maybe whack bludgers at each other." Sam laughed.
"Don't worry, I AM gonna learn this. I've never danced before, and I don't wanna miss out this time. Last term I hid in the darkest corner I could find, and drank cider for the whole thing. Lucky there was another gal who was in the mood for dark and quiet, so I had company. We both had a good laugh when my hair potion fail had little pumpkins growing out of my head though."
She shook her head chuckling
"I really hate potion making."
