aw, yeah, i do that sometimes too and i always feel bad about it but like... /flails/ it's not that i don't like band competitions, it's that we get music for this one in early december every year, and invariably i'm sick of it by the time the competition actually rolls around regardless of how much i liked the piece at first. i'm playing this piece, and it's really cool and all, but i've gone through it six million times by now. yeah, i can't really rock backgrounds/foregrounds either, they're pretty difficult to get to fit with the scheme of most avatars. they're super pretty, just... more or less useless to me, aha. i forgot to even check what the theme was this week lol. you always choose really nice colors for your avatars though, i like all the layering you did on the one you have now too!

you are most definitely not wrong. yup, hopefully! i'm just glad that our main piece has a ton of brass in it. it's basically nothing compared to what last year/sophomore year was (i'm not in the same band cause my schedule is ridiculous and also we got new directors who are dumb) but it's somewhat okay. the only thing that sucks is that the 1st horn part is so different than all the other horns for some godforsaken reason so i have to play obscenely loud and that's really hard when you're my size bc small lungs. aha, yeah, pink is one of those colors that i'm not so great with either but i like it so i try anyway. you might be right about that not matching thing though, hmm.. maybe like a buncha white to match the bow instead and some blue/green/brown (one of them, not all of them) or something like that? idk i'm really matchy matchy with wardrobe stuff most of the time so i kinda suck at not doing that. yeah ikr and it's STILL NOT RIGHT

but it's like a 7 min piece and i play through 90% of it at triple forte! i mean it's less bad than the symphony sophomore year where literally the entire last page was an accelerando (so we started at like 120 and got up to like 240 in less than a minute's worth of music) but even still, berserk does not even cover it. i have to be louder than the entire rest of the band which includes a piccolo and if you think anything can be louder than a piccolo at mezzo forte you are wrong sir. (except arguably a piccolo at forte) she is magic with pink! idek how but yes that is most definitely her color. i shall try experimenting with the blue in a lil bit then! i still wanna find a way to make this other ridiculousness with five leg things work.

(and like idk if you care but this is this year's song and this is the symphony, you don't actually have to listen to them, i just like instrumental music a lot) there's too many cute cws on here like honestly. an all-cw avatar? that'd be interesting... i can see that being either really cute or horrifying. not sure which.

that's literally exactly what they are they're so offensive lol they do, just not those. the slow ones are usually the depressing songs like uhhh sketches on a tudor psalm might be more to your liking, it's darkish and it was also sophomore year iirc and we renamed it scratches on a two door sedan. orrr umm maybe the persechetti from freshman year i forget how depressing/not depressing that one is... i'll link it too if it's depressing enough. and i mean i guess they're comparably difficult but a lot of music is way easier than it sounds? it's mostly just that there's a bunch of independent parts (like horn alone usually has 4 different parts, which are more or less independent from each other too). eight's a pretty decent amount of cws, wow. i don't think i've ever used more than like 4 in one avatar and even then those were mostly for layering purposes. and i mean there's always default eyes do those count? most of them are super ugly but the cache ones are okay usually i think.

i have so much hatred towards instruments tbh. piccolos are screechy flutes and flutes are screechy too but they're worse bc they have no excuse and tubas are never loud enough and trumpets are always too loud (really though about 99% of what's wrong with most of our pieces could be fixed by performing a trumpet-ecotomy) and french horns are never remotely in tune so they sound like wailing cats and trombones are just as bad except they sound like freight trains and just idek man why am i in band anyway uh this is pageant and it's kinda like in between sketches and the symphony in terms of the amount of happy happy joy joy going on there. ahh do people think that? idek if things are cws or not most of the time, i just wear whatever looks nice together and if that's twelve cws or none so be it. i think i only have on 2 rn but this is also one of the simplest outfits i've made in a while.
