Whoa o__o God you just don't hear about African countries in history. I don't know if it's because I live in Europe but I only remember being taught about European history and like a tiny bit of American (Christopher Columbus obviously), it's really sad D:

On a side note, everyone is chatting academics and I love it :D I just graduated uni last winter and I miss it a lot. I wish I'd tried harder near the end.

My main instrument is electric guitar and I can play a bit of piano and tiny bit of drums. I'm a composer so I'm trying to learn as many basic instruments as I can hahah

History is so vast... It's hard to teach in school I think. At least for those common subject classes. Esp when there are tests to prepare for.

At least, that's how it is in America. Standardized tests galore. And the place where you actually broaden your horizons (unless you do it yourself, which is encouraged in high school by reading world news, which only really limits you to current events) is college.
