Thanks. I love dragon items so this made me happy :3
Googling how to start one now ;D
Cinders and Scales are one of the best sets of SubQ <3 Seriously love everything in it <3
YAY! We have one at my work for children called Dumbledore's Army. xD Go figure.
I can't remember if I told you this, but my boyfriend saw your HA over my shoulder one day and he freaked out. XD Wanted me to tell you he loves your HA, name, and forum picture.
I know right?! _
AWW! Thank you very much! I'm happy Merlin is loved. =D
btw goodnight, I'm really sleepy.
Whoo congrats!! That's an awesome drop from Carl, his drunkenness is to your advantage xD
Welcome back ^u^ Aha I got lost in the thread a bit too, I came back from work and there were like 3 new pages about games xD
Night Snoblol!
What's everyone up to tonight? c: I'm trying to decide whether I want to read or play a video game. Nights are my evenings really, gotta figure out how to spend it.
It's called The Big Dark, written by Rodman Philbrick. It's a pretty good shot at tackling an apocalyptic event in children's fiction. Not advanced reading by any means, yet it manages to touch some pretty dark subjects.
Sounds interesting. Lemme just ask that to my wishlist as well wwww
Anyways, gonna go sleep now. Gnight~
G'night everyone! -whispers- omg Carl just gave me it's like he heard us
- Sent ^.^! I think it's great that you visit him.
- You're welcome!
- I had a band with my fiance. All I remember is that my HA was dressed like a forest troll lol.
o.o I missed so much! Lol I think everyone has gone to sleep as well.
could you put my shop on the front link as well love? I have it in my siggy but I figured I would add it there as well.
OMG Peek-A-Boo was so much fun. It had the music festival part and a few special shops but, for me, the best part was the Wishing Tree. At the Wishing Tree if you granted a wish you could post a wish (or if you were really on top of it, you could post right at midnight and post without gifting because the tree reset every night so they needed to refill it). So the tree was full of everybody's high end wishes, excluding CWs because they weren't allowed. You grant as many wishes as you wanted but you could only post one wish a day. I was really new when it happened so I got some of my first really nice items there. A side benefit was that it really drove the price of CSC in the SS down because so many people wound up with lol I was really hoping they would bring it back just for that alone.
I haven't read the book yet but is spot on recommending Welcome to Night Vale. It's pretty much the only podcast I listen to. I don't really like podcasts but Night Vale is amazing, especially the first year of it. I always say, if you like HP Lovecraft odds are you like Night Vale. You should really check the podcast out, bonus it's FREE. Here's their Main Website as for the podcast you can find it on iTunes or you can download it directly from them HERE that will send you to the most recent page but you should probably start at the beginning so just click on June 2012 on the left hand side. If you try it and don't like it, at least it didn't cost anything (;
As for 'dancing' it part of the site event Masquerade. So it's like Trick or Treating is to Morostide (spell?). Only instead of getting random items like with t-o-t you get either Steamwork Trinkets or Lounge Trinkets (you can't control which ones) and then you can spend those at the Steamworks Menagerie and Libertine Lounge where all those good steamworky items are. You can only dance every some many minutes, I think it's something like every 3 to 5 minutes, it'll let you know. My recommendation is to get into one of the 'Dance with the Person Above You' because you really want to dance and be danced with as much as possible (also it might help you earn forum points ;) ). I don't know if I explained that well, but I hope it helped.
And the "Big Pink Flower Headband" and Torch Bearer Beanbag" I think those must have been in someone else's shop because they're not from mine.
Done! c: I'm still awake, but I briefly left because I thought I was alone. Hello!!
Yes yes! I used to listen to the podcast pretty regularly, but I'm a little embarrassed to admit it's been long since I've caught up. WTNV was the book of the month at my workplace in December. ^^
I fell really far behind too (over 6 months worth) but I've recently been catching up. I have to admit I wasn't to big on the 'desert other world,' 'Dana' and 'Strexcorp' story lines; they really started to drag for me. I can't remember where I'm at now, maybe around October 2015 and it's starting to get back on if feet for me. I know a bunch of my friends who were really into the first year have drifted to, so I don't think we're alone on that ;)
I would totally be up for listening to what most people consider the better parts of the series... like if someone went and cut out the story lines that dragged, do you think I could still call myself a fan? XD; p.s. I've been eyeballing your Blotted Sea Collectible Poster, since the thread has calmed down. c:
For basically the whole second year of WTNV you'd basically wind up cutting all of it out if you took out the parts that drag. Instead of being the quirky community radio show with small segments that stood alone it basically just became more or less one big narrative. That first year I feel like you could basically listen to any episode and be fine because even though there were ongoing story lines they all sort of stood on there own. I feel like in the second year instead of that original format it slid more into one giant story line with occasional traffic reports and community calendars; there's nothing wrong with that I just didn't really like it as much. The third season/year seems to being coming a bit more back to the community radio format but I'm pretty sure if you don't listen through all the episodes there's A LOT you won't get or understand but so far it's not back to what it started as. I definitely would not recommend just jumping in with a random episode but you can try.
"Blotted Sea Collectible Poster" is on it's way
Firstly, thank you! <3 Secondly, your insight is really helpful and answers some questions I've had about the direction the podcast has taken, so thank you for clearing that up. I definitely didn't get the impression that WTNV was something I would be able to miss episodes of willy-nilly. Even during season 1, they really relied upon aforementioned plot devices and characters to make their jokes and connect with the listeners. ...I should really listen to it on my way to work. How long is each ep??
Sorry for the delay I had to go hand wash some stuff, it's a long story rolls eyes Each episode is around 23-30 minutes, personally I frequently fast forward through the intro (the stuff where they talk about upcoming events, please donate, etc) and the 'weather' which shaves off 4-10 minutes. I've caught up on maybe 5 months in the past week, once you start it goes pretty quick. What I said before was just my personal opinion, haven't talked to anybody else about and haven't really seen anybody else talking about it (it just sort of completely dropped off my dash on tumblr...), so I certainly don't speak 'for the fandom' or really informed people on story/plot structure or anything, that's just the way it hit me and it has been at least five months since I listened to the second season/year of it so I've forgotten a bunch (which I'm realizing as I catch up on season/year 3 lol). So don't prejudge it on account of me, maybe you'll really love how it goes once you get into it.
