When I first started I came from Neopets where I was an avid restocker. When I came here I was so suprised that it was better for it. Meaning there was a timer on how many you can buy at one time. I thought it was all me. I mean I was great on Neopets and I'm not bad here in certain shops but I thought it was just me.

I don't know what to say about GoT. Lots of people really love it... meh. There's so much normalization of violence against women in almost all TV, it doesn't seem fair to single GoT out but for some reason it bothers me more there. I think it's because it is a fantasy world so the people that write it could make it anything. They could make it better not worse then the world we already live in. IDK Plus people are always going on about all the strong female characters and there are no doubt but that doesn't fix the massive problems either. And I'm so sick of naked women being used as props and set decorations on that show GRRRR

I'm pretty sure the Netflix free trial still requires a credit card so that cuts me out. I'll probably wind up getting Jessica when it comes out on DVD (assuming it does); that's how I got to see Orange is the New Black. If I ever did get Netflix I would have to get a better wireless router first because mine just isn't up to it. Routers are so expensive, even with Black Friday sales. All the Netflix originals look really good, hopefully some day I'll get to binge them all at once ;)

I went back through her shop again Ooops I got the ring! I offered around 50% off on a few items and then I offered something like 65% off on the ring and I figured she'd counter-offer with something higher but she just said Thank you and set up a trade :D So if you do shop with her again don't be affraid to offer more than 30% discount (I'm guessing especially if you get more stuff). I wish the wishlist search worked I would go get more stuff now that I know she'll do 50% off even on not super high end stuff. I can't remember what else was in there and I don't want to go through 60 pages again lol

I was the same way when I first joined. I thought the whole point was the pets so I was really worried about taking care of her. I joined for a friend so I was like 'oh great now I have a daily thing I have to take care of ugg.' Every other site I'd ever been on that had pets of one version or another you had to take care of them or they'd run away or die. I was so happy when I figured out you didn't have to do anything with your pets if you didn't want to. It wasn't really silly but I used to hand price my entire shop pretty much every day (sometime three or four pages) UGGG it was horrible. Now I just keep a higher end store sort of updated and then throw everything else in my other shop and wait for a GA and autoprice. So I go through huge stretches with minimal sP coming in. But if you just throw all your quest prizes into a shop for 6-11 months and price it all at once you can get tons of sP in the blink of an eye lol

Well, I like the Sibling and the Nature prizes, but I decided on the former mainly because I like what it's about :3 And honestly, I'll just buy the prizes later on, even if they're expensive xD

You have all the possibilities and you could make a world where women are treated like human beings, cause that would frankly be a fantasy world :'D Ugh seriously, I just feel like naked women are used as bait or something disgusting like that, for people to watch == Every single time there's a new movie or show with a female protagonist I'm PRAYING she won't be naked but she usually is. It's just so heart breaking.

Lost Girl was a pretty good fantasy show with a female lead(s). She is pretty sexual (she's a succubus after all) but in general it's a sex positive show so I don't hold it against them and she's powerful and in control instead of just being object of someone else's desire like most shows. All of the female characters (especially in first couple of seasons) are powerful and complex. Very pro-woman power. I just love Bo (the lead character), in most shows male characters are always my favorites and I feel bad about it but it's because they're written better; with complexity, strength and thought. Lost Girl, in my opinion, is one of those rare shows were the female characters are written well like male characters in most show but still keeping in mind they are women and face different issues. When I first started watching it was like 'why do I like her so much this is so rare' and then I realized she was being written like most of the male characters I love so much :D I have to admit the quality really slid after the first few seasons, but you might want to check it out if you haven't seen it.

I didn't even know that's what Lost Girl was about! I only heard about it a few times. It sounds really nice though, I'll have to watch that. This is also my problem with a lot of female characters, a lot of the time they're just reduced to their romantic side or they make them look like finding a partner is all they ever care about. Two good seasons is good enough for me xD

I'm not really sure when it started to slide because they ran a few seasons together when I was watching it (it never got really bad, I watched it all the way out). While there are romantic relationships that play big roles in the story THE main relationship (as far as I see it) is between the two best friend female characters, Bo and Kenzi. Lost Girl is basically a supernatural crime solving show. Bo and Kenzi are thrust into the world of the fae which is just under the surface in our world. All the fae have to claim a side light or dark but Bo didn't know the fae even existed so she never claimed and refuses to, which makes her a big deal. So there's the bigger basically political story arch about the fae world but a lot of the show is Bo and her human friend Kenzi solving fae crimes no one else can deal with. It's pretty fun and I think Netflix has it (or at least it used to).

That sounds like something I'd love :o I need more shows/movies with the main focus on strong friendships. I can't help but sigh at romantic subplots, especially with straight characters. They always make it seem like a guy and a girl can't be "just" friends, that's so beyond ridiculous. Why can't two best friends just save the world together and not have sexual tension in every scene =_= Okay I got a bit off topic here lol but I'll definitely have to watch that show. thank you for the recommendation c:

It's not just straight romantic relationships in Lost Girl because the main character is a succubus so she's into all sorts. If, for example, she gets injured she can heal if she makes out with someone, which granted, is a pretty cheesey plot device but I thought it worked. At least there's a legit story reason for the main character to be in need of the sexual sht fictional character always get pushed into. And like I said at least she's the one in charge of it instead of just being an object and the heart of the show really is her friendship with Kenzi. Lovers come and go but best friends are forever through all the sht.
