Our 10th Anniversary was a Really Big Deal, so we had quite the party for it. It's likely that the next few anniversaries will be much more low key affairs, so we can work on making much nicer items for Keelhauliday (which starts tomorrow!), and then Alegarten on the 1st. The items that come from those holidays are far more suggested/wanted/used.

The usual floating items based on the anniversary number traditionally don't hold up well in users hearts (or shop prices!) so we've pretty much done away with those. We're sorry to disappoint!

- We had the celebration items brought back to the quest shops, and we released the NPC 'Shopkeepers' Subetapedia section, as well as those new dino items! (The NPC thing was quite big for us! It may not look it, but it's very special for us)

I hear you though - it's nice to celebrate things like this if possible. We've sort of been celebrating with pirate items, which I can't wait for you guys to see.

Last year we did something with the pirate items that we'll be doing again this year, which is not only having them go out via the shop but also through Carl. We also have some pirate items to release other ways so people can still enjoy the pirate goodness and not have to restock for every single item. :)

People actually use the pirate items; not only for treasure chests, but they use them in wardrobes, etc. The anniversary items you never really see people use so we decided we weren't going to do a lot of them. We've stated multiple times over the past year that we want to go with quality over quantity so we aren't doing 100 items each holiday that involve a lot of recolors. We could've just done a bunch of recolors of ledgers, but instead we have separate lovely books (oh god those maps though). We're trying to move away from goodie bags and floaters. Like obviously floaters work really well for some holidays, like Fireside, but for others (like New Years) we've moved away from it.
