- We can officially removed "EPICon Prize Shop" as a restocking location. All of the 2013 EPICon items have been updated and I'm continuing to work on the 2010/2010 VIP items now.
done. thanks!
(Sorry -- I didn't see this earlier, because it was at the bottom of the previous page.) Not offended. A little surprised -- y'all use SubetaLodge way differently than I do (Lypsyl: open tabs for every item on the page? Yikes -- I can't imagine having that many tabs open at once!), and so I was surprised at the reaction from folks who didn't see how this could be useful.
The big use scenario for it, in my mind, is for event-related shops (L'Amour's Palace, Steamworks Lounge, etc.) I think it'd be useful to have a search like this one that lets users check off all the items from that event regardless of which checklist it was on.
I haven't given up on this idea, but I concede it still needs some more work.
Also: There are twelve users with Epicon checklists. I can delete the checklists, but wanted to check in case you wanted to give some notice first.
The problem with your example of checking off multiple lists on a page like that is the same one I have for our standard item pages. I have to refresh the page between each toggle or I get this error message: Sorry, you need to wait for the previous item to finish processing first! I assumed that happened for every one but maybe I am wrong. I have been once or twice before in my life.
I do think this style would be ideal for editing purposes if they were "revealed" rather than the item info.
Oh, users with epicon lists. I mean, does it hurt to let them keep them? they can still buy the items other ways.
The ones who built their checklists by searching the notes field for 'epicon' can still use those lists. But the ones who built their checklists by using an Epicon shop as a restock location will get an empty list now.
no one has complained yet about the other ones I deleted. which doesn't mean they won't eventually. or about these. let's see if they do.
I don't usually open tabs for everything on the page, unless I have 10 or less search results, then I will. My computer takes forever to open pages, so clicking individually and opening a single page I spend more time waiting than actually doing whatever it is I need to do. So I open a bunch at once, then go off and do something else while they all load. Then zip through whatever I need to do.
As for clicking off lists, I'm really way better off doing it through checklists. I often make temp checklists specifically for an event. Like Georgie said, trying to click off checklists through the item page often leads to errors when trying to do more than one.

have the trunks been finished?
Status update on this feature -- it's not quite ready yet, but most of the functionality is working.
Some glitches:
You can't designate a checklist as private or public until it contains at least one item; also a list won't show up on the sidebar widget until it has one item.
If you are currently logged in, your pet's book lists will be wonky until you log out and back in.
pretty exciting news, even if it is now quite ready and a bit wonky. where do i go to rid myself of 3 unwanted food checklists?
: Top left corner: "My Account" (then drag down to "my account" again!). You'll see two lists of pet names -- the first one is for food; the second one's for books Enter your password to make changes (I ALWAYS forget to do this step!), then take the pet names out of the first list.
Amazing. Fabulous! This makes me very, extremely happy!
not only do i forget to put my password in there, most of the time i don't remember what my password is.
let me know when it is unwonked, please!
NEED TO GO TO BED. Stayed up to compose what I think is an awesome post to announce this new feature!
: There's nothing I can do about the second issue: Everyone has to sign out and sign back in (or make a change to the account page like you did). It's easy to log in and check the 'remember me' box so you stay logged in, but at the time you logged in, both food and books were tied to a single list of pets, and now that they're split into separate lists, your account has to 're-read' your settings -- and that generally only happens when you log in.
The other issue, I think, was intentional on the part of a previous programmer. If you have 30 pets, but only actively feed one of them, you don't want the other 29 empty lists cluttering up your sidebar, so it was directly written into the code not to show empty pet lists. Is there a reason we'd want to change that back?
-sobs tears of joy-
My sidebar list of checklists has just shrunk monumentally. You are a god among us. I have a whole whopping 4 booklists now instead of 20-something and 2 food lists and I just...thank you ❤️
bbbbbut, you said it wasn't quite ready yet! lol
: Well, as a 'wishlist' kind of thing, I'd like people to be able to make a checklist private first and then start adding items. Nothing that we do here is really all that top secret, but if we're going to offer the feature, it should be implemented better. I'm okay with rolling things out first even with that glitch.
