, - I would love, love, love to see the Reading Drive lists disappear forever. Can we make some sort of virtual bonfire for them?
Also would love the ability to get rid of certain pet lists. All of my pets read, but only 2 or 3 of them eat, so I'd love to get rid of some gourmand lists.
For certain wearable achievements, eating achievements, or book reading achievements, perhaps there could be like a checklist within a checklist? For example, we all have a wardrobe checklist. We can currently view items we have, items we need, the full collection, sort by restocking location, view specific layers, sort by name/timeline/rarity. It's neat using the "Limit by Restock Location" function - Would there be a possibility of having a dropdown like that, but saying "Limit by Achievement"?
Great new "add item" form Osterizer! Hope it works. I still remember the days when we ran the cron to add the overlay info. It was nice. It may be a bit premature to mention it, but since ornaments now also have an overlay preview like clothing, might they also get added in the same way you intend to work it out for clothing?
Oh yes! Reading drive gone! Only having the pet lists we want would also be great. Only my main pet eats, but I'm going to be working on the int for several pets.
Something else I forgot to mention - but we need to take into consideration multi-use items, or items used in mulitple achievements. Examples: Guide to Constellations book only needs to be read once, but it applies to two specific item use achievements. I don't know how/if that will affect the programming.

I think you need to update your firefox and java very urgently xD If I remember right it was because of the page source but now it was fixed and shows the full one, I'm using the latest version.
Like I said, as long as the achievement are not on the X holiday tab on the page, they are not a holiday achievements. Let's say for example: The last achievements are in the wardrobe, pets-food pets-books tabs so they'll never be retired. But Visit Melody for 31 days is in the Luminaire tab and will be retired at the end. Plots - the same
Also, Plots and holiday challengers achievements will be retired after the end of the plot and holiday and will never come back even if the challenger will come back the next year or as a throwback challenger - confirmed by Amber.
So I am gathering no one thinks much of adding an all purpose checkbox for "used in an achievement" or expanding on the suggested checklists?
minion mass add?
: Minion mass-add is still on my list; there are some bug reports for the existing mass-add scripts here and here, which I'm having trouble reproducing (I'm not having a problem in my browser), but I'm hoping that debugging the already-existing mass-add scripts will make it easier to write the minion mass-add script from scratch.
As for the all-purpose checkbox -- give me a day to mock up an alternative I think people will be happy with.
LOL of course I do...but I can't. My computer is too old to use newer stuff...and no I can't afford a new computer.
Sorry I got sidetracked with other details. I do like an all purpose checkbox, and that would be better than nothing. However I'm envisioning something more along the lines of, not only mentioning that its used for an achievement, but the specific achievement as well.
As for the custom lists, even if we eliminate the lifelike dolls and subeautique lines, that leaves dozens of lists, some with as little as 1 item. With a max of 10 custom lists available, how useful would that be?

My intention was not a custom checklist suggestion for every possible achievement. That would just be silly. It was an expansion on O's comment:
: Thanks for leaving me stuff to test with tonight. For now, I've left the old add page where it is (in case something goes wrong with the new one, but I hope you'll find this next line as awesome as I do:
With the new add items page, I was able to add eight wearables WITHOUT HAVING TO MANUALLY EDIT ANYTHING. Just cut, pasted, filled out a few things that aren't listed in the hover information, and the script did the rest. Please try it out and let me know if you have any problems with it.
Maybe I'm confused, but I thought you were referring to achievements that have the blue button, show required items. Like these:

I cannot believe that such a big company is bouncing checks -_- I'm pissed on your behalf because there's no reason for that whatsoever.
I had something once but it totally killed my appetite (and my personality, I was like a living zombie) and I blanked their name out too. Sometimes you gotta avoid the super effective stuff because it's too risky.
- I am so excited to see the announcement that reading drive checklists are going. I agree, no sense in keeping them around when the event is supposedly gone for good.
osterizer - Are these overlay grabs working with custom wearables as well or just standard new items? I can definitely give it a try on the next round of cws if it works for them as well for you :)
Also I agree with everyone, the hardest part will be sorting how to do achievement notes, whether it's a box we can check and then add in the notes which one or if we need to manually add all the info or if we're just doing a "used in achievement" general checkbox. Sorry to drop a suggestion and then not be around for the discussion about it. I'm generally for whatever you think works best with the overall basics for the site, I don't want it to be something that doesn't mesh well with what is already happening there.
I got the script to work with CWs last night -- using a trick Marlboro taught me, I put all the new CW's (Affluent Draped Invitation through Trinketed Maritime Corset) into a wishlist and then pasted the source from the wishlist into the page. Everything seems to have made it in -- the "both sexes the same checkbox", the layer, the overlay.
I'm not 100% positive that the script works equally well from all browsers (I haven't tried Firefox yet), so there may be a little tweaking left, but so far, I think this is as good as we're going to get for now.
: You asked if the script works as well for ornaments: right now, it doesn't. I've put some code in there that I think will work for ornaments but have it commented out right now, since I don't expect to have any new ornaments to test it with for a while. Next December, I'll uncomment the part of the code and try it out.
I'll be able to test it on Firefox for you at the next round of approvals then :) That is handy to know for sure - will definitely make it easier if we don't always have to manually grab the overlays haha. I use the add to wishlist method to add them now so that shouldn't be an issue.
I ahve a question or two about the new admin mass add you are working on. I just went to the default category on my wishlist and used the source code from there so, because it was a mix of item types I didn't select any of the bottom boxes. And obviously, nothing new was there to be added. So the results I got for all of these items was "Retrieved extended item information for..." What kind of extended info? Just because I am curious. And maybe because I might be hoping a little bit that this could be a way to possibly update user shop prices :D
Also, it looks like maybe we are going to want to have an empty default wishlist so we can use that for mass add. I mean, what happens if there is more than one item type or restock location, etc. ? Will all items added be marked as the same thing even if they really aren't (I assume yes) ?
These things are contained directly in the source code you pasted:
The name of the item The item number The URL for the item's inventory icon
These things are contained in the hover information:
The price The rarity The description The overlay information (for wearables)
The script has to connect to Subeta to gather the information, which means there's a chance of getting a 502/504 error while trying to read the hover. "Retrieved extended item information for..." is just confirmation that we connected to Subeta and got that information. If that fails, we'd have to put those four things in manually. (Also, the "retrieved extended item information" line links to the item pages in case we have to edit them.)
These things, by the way, aren't included in the hover information:
Item Type (book, weapon, plushie, etc.) Restock Location Currency Type
which is why the new mass-add page asks for them separately.
Ding-ding-ding! Yes! Now that the script can "log in" as a user, it can see the user shop price and add that information to the item.
There's a small technical issue that I'll have to work on before we have that up and running, but we're very close to having that functionality back.
The technical issue is that I want to build a "throttle" into the script -- I don't want the script trying to access thousands of pages in a matter of seconds as a logged-in user. We already know that Subeta can't handle massive loads. Even after the site upgrade in December, the place slowed down considerably the first couple of days of Survival -- and I don't want a runaway script that we deployed to be responsible for any problems.
Yes, you're right. Most of the time, new items are released in batches where these are all the same -- a new SBQ line, or some new plushie colors to go with a revamped design. For these cases, we can check the boxes on the new mass-add page and have them attached to all of the individual items at once. If we're adding items where they're different, we'll have to go in and manually change some of the items -- but that's what we have to do now anyway, so we're no worse off in any case.
By the way, you can still paste from any page that has the hover information with new items, but the new v 3.5 wardrobe does NOT have that, so using the wishlist is a good way of adding CW's, which don't have their own news post or anything. I'd say only people who have to add CWs regularly would need to keep an empty default category in their wishlists.
: Nope. Any item that's already in the database won't be altered.
that is pretty awesome!
@ osterizer Okay so, testing on Firefox and it does not (even with all the right boxes checked and my subeta UN and password put in) allow the carryover of the overlays for CWs.
At least not for me. I just added 15 and it sadly didn't move the overlays over in the new form.
[edit] Figured out the issue. IT DOES WORK IN FF. I had to temporarily disable my PIN settings for login.
