- I usually say something along the lines of "In the description, this word should be this".
Great, thank you again! I've bookmarked the page and sent in a correction report for that item.
[edit] I'm halfway through the color corrections, but I've worn out completely. I need to have a break from the computer so my back doesn't have another meltdown today, I'll be back at it in a couple of hours.
No, no, I didn't mean it was a problem with you! It was totally no big deal to check in on the CWs, actually helps to get me in the habit of doing it. Was just an example of being unreasonable and pissy due to being tired.
I don't think its necessary to look at hiring anyone right now. I think setting up the roles the way you have will make things run smoother in the long term. Give things some time to settle in and see how things work out. I promise if I feel like I'm too busy or there's too much on my shoulders I'll complain. LOL or at least mention it.
The same should go for all staff. If the new roles/setup is putting too much pressure on anyone, speak up!

I get all the cranky when I'm tired so I feel you haha. (Your HA looks so much more relaxed than I feel damn I'm jealous of an avatar).
Also I'm almost done with the colour/color fixes!
[edit] Thank you to whoever finished off that last page of colour/color!
I'm going to start working on favour/favor right now.
Thanks! Today's Daily Item was "dress as yourself." Being unemployed means I get to dress in a relaxed way daily!
And I finished the colour/color.

Thank you ❤️ I edited since I was last but I'll start working on favour/favor now!
Some days I very much miss when I wasn't working. The only upside to the last several days of bs pain has been that I can mostly just stay in my pjs and be comfy haha.
[edit]
All favour/favor is fixed now. Jessi is doing approvals on CWs at the moment so I will not be able to work on flavour/flavor though
Sorry about your back. Please don't strain yourself or make it worse to work on SBL. Take care of yourself!
hmmm, now I am wondering if maybe you are saying we don't need to hire anyone else because you don't want to add another training to your to-do list. :x
Also, don't tell them to speak up! lol,
LOL training is getting easy. From now on I'm just going to refer them to the training page, then tell them to read the training forums, then ask if they have any questions. Easy peasy! :P
I've already been working on flavour/flavor. So I'll just continue :)

I try to make sure I only do what I know I can ;) But thank you!
Leave it to you to streamline the process. I am always impressed by you.
Are you at least taking some great pain meds?
IN OTHER NEWS paychecks are bouncing
Paychecks with all that damn overtime
Sadly most pain meds don't work for me (stupid high tolerance for literally no reason), but I've been trying to take some to reduce swelling and alternating ice and heat to help.
Also that is horrible :o I'm so sorry. Is your company really small? I'd have a meltdown if my paycheck bounced (I have a minor one every time my boss forgets to pay us on time).
[edit] Also, I keep forgetting to bring this up. But I had an idea (and I see someone recently revived a thread with a similar idea) about maybe adding notes to items that are required for achievements. Like "Used in Achievement: X"
This is something I'd be willing to take on and work on in my spare time if it's something you think would be good?
I am sorry you are in pain. That is no fun :/
I work for BerettaUsa so no, not a small company. Rather huge and worldwide, in fact. And old as the hills, too.
Achievement thing...I guess. I mean, you could probably recruit some help from the ranks. I was kind of thinking at some point we would have a content page for that kind of thing and I think someone actually offered to compile it (non-staff) but they must have realize what a buttload of work it would be
Ugh...I really hope its simply disorganization and not a sign that the company is going bankrupt.
I was once given these awesome pills for back pain. They were a combo muscle relaxant and narcotic. I don't usually react well to pain meds either, but these were incredible. At one point I was breaking the pills up and only taking a 1/4 pill and it was still wonderfully effective. I can't remember what they were called - I think I blanked it out because I didn't want to have to worry about getting addicted to the little buggers.
Before we start on the major project of listing achievement needs - and yes I too have thought this would be a good addition - I wanted to bring up a couple of things.
That's what comes to mind immediately, but there may be other considerations I haven't thought of. Personally, I think its still worthwhile, but we should discuss it and make some decisions and rules before we start.

2-4. Holiday achievements can be marked as retired after the end of the holiday immediately, even if Subeta didn't do. But we need to exclude the achievements like the ones that were released recently because they are not under the holidays tabs.
In general, we can ask Amber to update us, to be more specific, me, I'm in a close contact with her on a daily basis..
Great questions, .
On the one hand, I don't think we should be held back by concerns about what if Subeta retires an achievement and doesn't tell us. Anything we do on here could be negated by them at some point (y'all did an AMAZING job, by the way, of keeping up with all the spelling changes that just came out).
But it'd be a break from what this site usually tracks to keep tabs on things other than collecting items -- we've never had a checklist for things we've deleted (Ethers, pumpkins), or checklists with counters (feed your pet 100 Black Candy Bars). I'd recommend starting with the active achievements that "look like" checklists -- read these books to your pet, have these items in your wardrobe, etc. Those are in keeping with SubetaLodge's "traditional" mission.
At that point, we can review lessons we learned from entering those achievements and decide whether and how to tackle the other kinds of achievements.
Beretta has been in business for almost 500 years so I doubt they are going ouof business but you never know. :/
And a per the usual, you have brought up some very valid things to consider before moving forward with a project for achievements....
I never use it an so seldom remember but when you go to the create a custom checklist page we have some suggested ones listed there. This would be a good jumping off place, if nothing else. And would potentially fall along the lines of what you are saying. For starters, we can expand on that list, though I do think I am going to have to think about how many custom checklists we can allow people to have without having to worry about server space/load.
At any rate, doing that much does not require any item notes at all which I think is perfect for wardrobe achievements in particular.
Another idea might be to add a box to check when editing items that says something to the effect of "this item can be used toward a current or retired achievement"
I really like the idea of a note or something that says "this item can be used/is required for x achievement", though it would take effort on our part. I would be willing to start working on them. I do think that we shouldn't add any more custom checklists. If people want to track their own achievements, they can figure out a way on their own. For example, I have a Word document that I use to keep track of the items I have and the items I still need for a bunch of those random ones, like the panties or couture.
[edit]
- We need to update "Grooming Parlour" and "Plushie Parlour" at SubetaLodge. They should now be "Grooming Parlor" and "Plushie Parlor".
:
I'm nearly done with some big changes to mass add (sneak peak here) that will minimize the number of things you'll have to put in by hand. The trickiest part of it is the ability to get overlay information for clothing items, and I haven't been able to test it yet. Next time some wearables are released, could y'all "save them" for me to add and test this with?
Updating Grooming Parlor and Plushie Parlor. On it! (Will update when done.) Done!
Achievements:
Hold off for a little while. (Say, 2-3 days?) If the mass-add changes go smoothly, there might be a way to add the achievements without having to do a buttload of manual labor.
Did you read the post above Kathy's?
I can see some ways we can cut back on lists regardless of whether or not we increase the number of customs allowed.
Reading Drive collections can be eliminated altogether since there is never going to be another one. And should Keith change his mind and we have it again, we can add one back. I want to give users a week or so heads up but I want them gone no matter what else we do (:
I would love it (and so would our users) if there were a way to have pet checklists for only the categories we want. I have a gourmand who doesn't read. My battle pets have book checklists but don't eat. Empty, never used checklists don't bog down the server but it would make for a much neater "my checklists" page and just clean things up in general.
Minions can become one of those "special" lists like the wardrobe if mass adding them is figured out.
Figuring out a system for achievement tracking is great and something we need to talk about. I know I said "go for it" yesterday but since I was at work and really focusing on THAT I had not had time to really think about it. I apologize for not waiting to respond. :/
