Some things had broken on previous years pages; broken images, things gotten out of alignment, etc. I se3t up the new page for this year and added the stuff to the cottage index page, new wearable page, etc. Nothing huge. Just I am old and slothlike :D
that is fine. Mainly we just need to check, all of us check, top make sure it has been done. And I don['t want you to do those things that make you feel worse!
I will do my best to add those Melody items (I'm /usually/ here around midnight). I'll definitely make sure to check when I do get on regardless to be sure they're added.
This has been a long week for me, I am gonna ping everyone so I don't have to go over it twice haha.
I have been sick since Tuesday the 19th. This past Sunday I woke up with pink eye in both eyes (yay for me). It's the first time I've ever had it in 36 years on this planet - apparently just being sick can cause it (heads up to anyone else who didn't know this).
On top of that, on Monday when I was headed to the doc for meds for my eyes, I had a weird pain in my back (different from my normal pain) but it went away after a couple of hours so I thought maybe it was related to my permanent injury. Nope. On Tuesday I again had the pain except instead of easing off, it continued to get worse until I was literally screaming and crying in pain and had to be taken to the ER via ambulance. I spent several hours there getting many pain meds via IV and getting tests run. I had a kidney stone - it's passed now and it was the only one they saw (thank literally everything) but I've been recovering from the toll that took on me all week. I've tried to keep up on the CWs and other new items and help when and where I can and I thank you to everyone who's been adding things when I haven't been online. I'm okay now, just a little worn out still.
Man, you are not even allowed to do anything! I have never had one of those (KNOCK WOOD) but have witnessed a few and pray I never will go through that. My dad swore it was worse than childbirth though he had know way of knowing that! I am so sorry you went through it :/
I've been told the same about it being worse than childbirth. I asked several times if they'd please just cut my kidney out of me and they kept laughing like I was joking, but I assure you I was not. It took three rounds of the dilaudid before the pain finally stopped. And even then I think it's just because the stone finally hit my bladder and was out of the tube that connected it to my kidney. It was horrible. I never ever want another one.
I'm so sorry :x
hugs I'm okay now but it was really awful at the time. And my poor mom was flipping out because I was such a mess and she couldn't do anything to help me.
yeah, moms tend to do that when we see our kids in pain...
Yeah, I felt bad that she was so stressed by it. But also really grateful she was there.
trust me, there was nowhere else she would rather have been
Yeah, she had to return home briefly to eat and get her car and pack me a bag (they were going to admit me overnight but thankfully didn't end up needing to) and she packed herself stuff to spend the night with me at the hospital without me even asking.
pfft, of course she wasn't waiting fpor you to ask her! she was staying even if you didn't "want" her to
I definitely would've if I'd had to stay haha.
How were your holidays?
They were very quiet. Witchy's kids both bailed so it was just the 3 of us. Sadly, the son waited till 30 minutes before we were supposed to sit down :(
I spent yesterday with some issues. Well, issues have been progressively getting worse again. Te MRSA is back in full force and on top of that, the antibiotics have cause a yeasts infection on the skin the the same area the MRSA like to get really bad :D Which of course is also the area where ihave to HAVE TO attach the appliance, no getting around that. All the tape and stuff trying to make that stick to slippery, oozing wet skin just holds in the moisture so the yeast can flourish!
But on the plus side, I don't have kidney stones or pink eye!
I'm usually here at midnight, unless I'm playing the Switch into the night. Tomorrow might be a difficult day for me because my family is probably going to let my childhood dog go, he's 17 and getting worst everyday, I'm still trying to find a solution and to hold back the final step. In December 31th I'm going to visit my family, so I really really hope he can survive so I can say a final goodbye to him. Just one month dammit :(
I'm really sorry about your family dog. :( As much as I hope he can hold on for you to get there, I also hope he is not in pain. I fully expected you to react to my statement about you funding our gift giving ;)
Do you have the wardrobe checklist thingy set to auto magically add page numbers as needed? This page: https://www.subetalodge.org/wardrobe.php
If not it is time to add more numbers as I am at what appears to me to be the last number, 65. I don't use that feature often enough to remember if I am always at the last number or not. I used to know how to add numbers but so many years have passed and you have re-written so much I don't want to go poking around too much. Aren't you relieved? :D
: Check out https://www.subetalodge.org/melody. All the years are there (but 2015 needs some work, because it didn't autoconvert nicely.)
To add an item to the page, just refresh the page after midnight -- if there aren't any items for the day already (and you're staff?) an update form will show up that'll ask you to enter the item names and sP amount for the day.
: I've manually added 10 more pages to wardrobe.php. We should instead of hardcoding a certain number of pages, just calculate the maximum wardrobe size (since we know how many wearables there are) and let the page scale automatically. I'll work on that.
I had pink eye once (only 1 eye), it was really itchy and I wasn't supposed to touch, frustrating! The kidney stone sounds awful. Did they give you advice on prevention for the future? Hope you never have to go through that again!
That sounds pretty horrible for you too! Its so sad that we've had antibiotics for less than an century and its already becoming obsolete. I've been increasingly getting resistant UTIs, but at least they aren't resistant to everything, just the pill I take regularly to keep them at bay.
Sad to hear about your family pet. I hope you get a chance for your final goodbye, but a month can be long time for a suffering pet. Its so hard when you live so far away :(.

I am confused
items stil;l have to be entered the standard way, no?
Yes. You'll need to put the item in the database in the usual way. Putting an item on the Melody page, though, is simpler (you don't need the URL of the item thumbnail, for example).
