Thank youuu! I'm so nervous oh god, I've never sold my stuff before. ;; I still need to print so much stuff... e__e

btw, I'm super curious about the multiplayer mode but I actually haven't dared yet, does anyone have any experience / opinions / tips ? I'm so intimidated by the idea of playing with other people, in case I end up totally ruining everything even though I know it's just my anxiety talking.

I've never tried it but find I'm very curious as well. I've played through the game a few times now and would look forward to a new challenge, but I don't want to bob around and mess up someone else's game. LOL

Yeah same. I don't really want to start a yet another new game (well, at least until I get my hands on the DLCs and maybe a PC version), since it kind of feels like not many of your choices actually affect anything. I still need to do a playthrough with Calpernia since I haven't met her yet, but that's about it. I'd love to experience some new stuff, which is why the MP mode sounds ideal, if only it was available as a singleplayer campaign. ;;

Yes! PC!! It's the best way to play. I did make sure that I have done very different things in my playthroughs. This last time I romanced Solas for the first time and sacrificed Hawke, I learned quite a bit more about motives and background from some of my companions. It was a pleasant surprise in a few cases. I also really tweak my starting world state. There is a lot of game to experience, even if you end up at the same place.

Calpernia is great. I enjoyed her whole story, much more than Samson. So much in fact, that I completely ignored Samson's story in my latest playthrough until I was face to face with him at the Well. Oops. LOL!

Yeah, I like how there's certain things you can tweak or experience somewhat differently, but I'll never be not bitter about how little certain actions affect the further storyline. XD

I actually did the same with my Hawke, saved them the first time around (.. mostly because I picked a world-state where I had sacrificed Alistair in Origins, and also who doesn't love the Kirkwall crew? ;A; The second time I played I remembered to load an Alistair save, and because of that I ended up procrastinating with the quest for so long that I was almost 150 hours into the game just because I wanted to keep both Hawke and Alistair safe in Skyhold for just a little longer.. )

One day I'm definitely going to play a renegade!quisitor and be a total asshole to everyone, but somehow I never quite manage to do that, my heart hurts even just thinking about picking certain dialogue options. it would certainly mix things up a bit though. (and I've got to say that playing Origins with a rather aggressive/self-centered warden was refreshing. )

I only played through Origin completely twice, a long time ago. I find it hard to play against my own nature, so I tend to forget when I set out to not be the good guy. I'm much better at being good and slightly sarcastic. I do want to play a more aggressive inquisitor though, maybe someday. I just wish I could skip that whole first bit and start at Skyhold.

I think I've lost count how many times I've played through that game now :') Now if only we got a remastered edition with Inquisition graphics and Frostbite and MASSIVE LOCATIONS, I'd be so all over that.

But same, it usually takes me a couple of playthroughs with a character to consider options that I might not pick myself, but the character might have reason to. Sometimes it hurts and it's tragic, other times things get tense and interesting. 8)

And then there are times when I simply cannot pick the option because just reading it hurts too much, hah.

I wish I had the motivation to play through DA2 more often since I adore the characters and the conflict is interesting, but the repeated areas are so ..frustrating...

I'm glad your up to an art trade when we have the free time! Lookin' forward to it!!!!

SPOILER (click to toggle) How cruel would it be to make the mark start to hurt the inquisitor? Or at least hurt when they're closing rifts and defeating corypheus. (would mahanon be the canon inquisitor? idk about what everyone else thinks about it /shrugs I think he is suited to be inquisitor, at least, when he's sober that is.)

Mahanon would make a face and show his dislike of Dorian talking about QUil's blood magic out loud, as they're trying desperately to hide the fact he even did it in the first place, bc they probably know the inquisition will loose support if they knew of Quil's blood magic. He'd probably threaten him with plaid weave again, in an attempt to stop him from talking about it, hoping dorian will understand their little dilemma.

Mahanon would take a while to forgive Quilahn for keeping it a secret behind his back, but while they're avoiding each other, he'd often ask Dorian if hes doing okay, and if he's been talking about it at all with dorian, but he'd doubt dorian to give him complete answers. When quil apologizes to him, mahanon would admit the most he felt distressed over is the fact that Quil could very well become an abomination, even if he knows of quil's talents at magic and confidence in those skills, he just knew there was a strong chance of it especially with the veil being open, and he'd refuse taking quil around rifts where he'd be bound to be overcame by demons. He'd also be a little bit okay with it, if quil wouldve told him about it way before he tried it, bc he thought quil would be able to trust him with secrets. i think they'd have to work on their trust in each other when they start talking to on another again.

Perhaps it could be canon! i'd like the others' views, if they want to chip in. But i like the sound that Quil gets his vallaslin from the exalted plains clan, making friends and basically adding to their own clan throughout time, perhaps like an adopted clan of some sort?

rip me i cant think clearly rn bc of the heat and humidity here in my province :'))

Oooh yes, i want long hair for the qunari? I wanted to make a big, long haired lady adaar mage, who romances Josie. Also, i should doodle up some alternate hairstyles on mahanon for future ideas perhaps? short and long hair alike.

Hey guys, I could really use your feedback on something ◕‿◕

I always play Warrior but I'm finding it kinda boring in DA:I so I'm thinking of starting over and try a different class this time.

I'm torn between DW Rogue or KE Mage. I'm more interested in Mage, as I don't have the patience to be stealthy and pick targets, but I honestly need a Rogue to open locks and taking on the role myself would leave room for having the 3 companions I actually want instead of sacrificing a spot for a lock-opener.

So I was wondering:

  1. Which is more fun to play, in your opinion?

  2. How do these classes in DA:I compare to how you played them in DA:O and DA2?

Thank you in advance! ~

DA:I Rogue is amazing. I always go Rogue first playthrough (pretty much every game I ever play regardless if DA or not!) DW is suuuper fun to play. They are a fast, extremely active class. Can also be very hard hitters.

I can't really compare them to DA:I mage, as I haven't played as one much, but with the little I've played of the mage, I do prefer rogue more. Compared to DA:O, the rogues are a lot faster, as well as capable of dealing much higher base damage. Also, AoE daggers! ♥

I agree about the dagger rogue. I loved the mechanics of it in DAII and find that the class works really well while using the tactical camera, in fact that's the only way I would battle with her. I've also played through with a KE and Rift mages. I love some of the crowd control you get with Rift and support you get with KE. I did Rift this time because Pull of the Abyss was one of my fav abilities in DAII. I do agree about the warrior class, plus I love having Cass with me while I play and find that I only ever needed one warrior with me at any given time.

They need to give us end game AOE daggers. I was bummed the daggers from Descent weren't AOE, especially because the one from JoH wasn't.

I love to play dagger rogues in DA (payed one on DA:O, DA 2 and DA: I). You don't have to be stealthy all the time.. but it is nice ti go in stealth bevore you attack.. but after that you can attack as normaly.. you only should take one of the warrior classes with you (best sword and shield) so they can distract the enemies and you can attack.

My thing with Rogue is that I never play Rogue in any game ever (though at the moment I'm trying two in DA:O, DW and bow). It's my least favorite class! ╯︵╰ It would be a huge change for me, but your enthusiasm about it definitely got me interested in trying!

I'm actually gonna try DW Rogue in DA2 probably before I start DA:I from scratch so hopefully that will give me a good idea of how it works in DA:I? Do you think that if I enjoy DW in DA2 I'll also like it in DA:I? ◕‿◕ KE I'm very interested in because melee magic sounds right up my alley (haven't tried Arcane Warrior yet! TДT) , and it's probably best I'm in charge of barriers and such. Don't really trust the AI with that.

Ah, I'm not really interested in having the perfect team build since I'm not playing Nightmare or anything. I do know Blackwall with Champion + Vanguard is pretty much immortal but I choose my party based on banter/personal interest in the character so I'm definitely going with Bull ̄︶ ̄ haha. Well, at least until Dragons, that is ゜Д゜ might have to adjust things around if I have a hard time with them. I think I should be fine, though? Some people run all Mage teams, lol. I'll throw in either Blackwall or Cass if I end up going Mage, but since right now I'm leaning towards DW Rogue, party will be Bull, Dorian and Viv.

Thank you all for your opinions! ~

Wish my party could be Dog, Sandal and Scout Harding, yeah! ≧∇≦

The AI is actually pretty good about barriers. You can control your companions behaviors as well. My most recent playthrough, I tend to adventure around as a rift mage with Solas in my party (nutty, I know, but it works for my story), between the two of us, the barriers were usually available or cast when needed.

It's been a long time since I played DAII, so I can't be certain. The overall combat has a different feel due to the tactical camera in DA:I. I do remember it being a lot of fun in DAII but I find it really relies on using the tactical camera in DA:I.

As much as I like IB, I rarely use him. I like my warrior to handle a direct onslaught better. I take Cass. Plus, she tends to like/respect everyone by the end, so it creates nice banter as those friendship develop.

I feel the same about Viv. I rarely use her on the team. Only when I need an ice throwing mage (but my rift mage throws ice so I don't need her at all this pt). I've never taken out Dorian and Blackwall together.... But I adore Dorian's banter. Cass is hands down my favorite companion. No contest there. A great warrior with spell purge? Cutting rift spawn points down like a champ.

Wow, that turned out longer than I thought it would. LOL!

I allways skill Dorian as "HEaler"/Necromancer ^^ and normaly I don't really need a ice mage to be honest. I only interact with Vivienne in Haven/Skyhold and most the time piss her off XDDDD. Cass is also my fav and the love interesst of my Inquisitor ^^ and I only need to take care, that she doesn not become the divine XD.. or my Inquisitor would be heart broken ^^

That would be awful! In my first to pts, I backed Cass for divine. This time, I'm not backing anyone and leaving it to the point system. It will be interesting to see how it turns out! LOL!

By ice mage, only a couple of the early dragons, since ice hits harder against fire. As you level, it's not important who you take.

I was pretty surprised with Cassandra because before I started playing I didn't think I would like her, but as soon as I started we immediately hit it off. She approves of everything I say/do, lol. She gets called bitchy a lot but I honestly think people just feel threatened by a strong woman like her, and then probably don't take the time to get to know her. She's actually really nice, IMHO. Vivienne is definitely not for everyone, I admit. But I'm one of those people who would dive face-first in the mud to prevent her from getting her shoes dirty. Apparently I'm a minority here, heh ´∀`
