ooh! then im up for quil being the older brother, sounds like the arguments would be very fun, esp since mahanon's a bit of a hothead, so after quil wins the argument mahanon remains quiet, obviously being a lil stubborn, which quil can tell he his from experience. Though, how would he react upon getting to know of mahanon's potential alcohol problem? its not good for his lil brother, especially since he hides his feelings even to quil.

Hoooly shit, i love the blurb, i imagine mahanon snorting at quil's threat to bull, and bull laughing with him, yet a little nervously. Bull would have to tell them Mahanon sometimes loves being hurt, but if he didn't want it he reveals their safe word. Which mahanon would hit him and embarrassingly whisper "dont tell him that, kadan" (he got into the habit of also calling bull kadan, i hc.) which would kinda confuse quil, probably.

I see!! I can see how that would make quil distressed then. Right now im looking for stuff for a mahanon avatar but thats going awfully :')) trying to find a hair style close to his hair colour is a pain in the ass, and i wish the tattoo feature was back, then i could make his june vallaslin.. If you have any tips/item ideas id love that

Oooh congrats! I love the old gods and all the lore and mystery surrounding them, do you have any specific plans for him yet?

Stubborn little shits, both of them then. :') They stop talking to each other for a while when they're traveling to whichever god-forsaken place demands their attention and everyone else is a wee bit awkward about it, until Quil and Mahanon completely forget that they're supposed to be angry at each other. (or, not angry, just really pig-headed.) Then one evening they just go back to casually chatting and sharing meals or helping each other with their leathers or whatever like nothing ever happened.

Oooh boy, cue drama if and when Quilahn finds out about the alcohol problem. He'd go all out on big bro mode and confiscate everything, probably causing a scene in the middle of the tavern/wherever they happen to be at the time - something he really needs to apologize for later, but oh dear he's worried. And angry. After he finds out, he'd definitely keep close vigil on Mahanon. Lots of tension and angry yelling at each other until everyone's feeling hurt. When he finds out about Dorian having very similar issues, he promptly leaves Skyhold until he's calmed down enough to realize that this is not about him, and that he needs a different approach if he wants to help.

Oh no, the kadan thing. ;-; ❤️

Hmm, there's the Centropolis and Delphi hairstyles (hair salon) that could work for Mahanon, and a bunch of the locked hairstyles are great for elven characters. (Freedom has a cute little braid ;u; )

Yep he will play part in my headcanon stuff for Milan ^^. So it will be different from the original canon in Inquisiton. I anyway tweaked a lot in my Wardens story more to my liking and changed some stuff so there is a lot of stuff that is not original Bioware canon anymore =).

OOo I like where this is going, who cares about Bioware's canon anyway. ... ok maybe I do, but I definitely also tweak a lot for the sake of story purposes as well and whenever that happens, canon can go sit in the corner for all I care.

I actually remember Milan, I really like his story ;u; Now I'm on a warden mood. I've been neglecting mine for far too long. I should remedy that.

Nice to hear others tweak as well ^^. In my opinion stuff like that makes the stories more unique and interessting.

Aww thx ^^ .. I am allways in Warden mode somhow ^^. Milan, Hektor, Grigori, Reynaud are connected in a story ^^ (Urthemiel as well, but he is no Warden XD).Later the story also will have Griffons ^^.. (yes I read "The Last Flight" atm).

Yesss, i dont think Mahanon could stay that mad at him for too long, and bull would be laughing almost all the time at mahanon's little glares (heres a pun, mahanon uses daggers, so he'd be glaring daggers at quil) at Quil, bc thats how his chargers would behave if they get in a lil fight. Though, their companions would be quite surprised when they find them talking and the other stuff, but feels quite relieved to have that awkwardness removed from the atmosphere.

Damnn, but being tough on him and taking away his supply of alcohol probably would help him, he'd realize, after they yell at eachother, regret somethings he said deep down, and think about what quil said. Though, its probably better if you sat him down and tell him that its not good, in a respectful manner, and probably listen to his problems, which by then he'd let go of the building up emotions he's been hiding up. It'd probably be pessimistic thoughts about failing himself and letting quil get taken away from him, losing tally and bull, losing the rest of their clan (if they arent saved), as well as not being able to free the other elves elsewhere and ooh boy hes just broken. Although, thankfully, he'd feel better after this, bc those emotions have been held way too long. (though, the alcohol thing will linger)

Imagine what Quil would think when Mahanon fought a high dragon off all things to show he's serious about his and bull's relationship. But Mahanon always wears his half of the dragon's tooth, proudly, and he'd let quil examine what it feels and looks like. he also wears bull's love bites and bruises proudly and shamelessly. He's learning a few qunlat from bull when they have the time, though prob just small words and phrases, like Ataashi and other simple words.

I settled with Delish (laughs, its so close to Dalish) New hair, and i like the way it fits, dispite not having his braid. Still some things i can improve on his outfit, but its good enough for now. (we need...vallaslin cws)

Hah yeah, sticking to canon only makes things boring really fast, especially when you've got more than one warden / hawke / inquisitor.

I've got Tabris and Privilege who are connected to the same story (and they absolutely do not get along at all). All of your wardens have such nice names -

I still haven't read that book, I've been meaning to buy it since forever, it's the only one I'm missing from my shelf at the moment. Q__Q I heard it's one of the best ones so far?

[edit]

What makes it even more entertaining is that Mahanon's glares would be mostly useless since Quil can't see them (awful puns are the reason I live tho). In turn Quil would be pointedly sweet to everyone else and chat with them, while ignoring Mahanon entirely. Probably until they run into trouble and the first thing he does is cast a protection spell on him. Quil is pretty good with hexes / aoe stuff, and he prefers creepy entropy spells (shh those are totally still a thing in DAI)

It takes some time for Quilahn to calm down (and to stop being such a stubborn ass) so that they can finally sit down and talk about everything after the whole thing's blown up in their faces, but it probably helps them both to deal with things. And also makes Quil less patronizing and more understanding. Especially if the clan's dead, so he's got his own sorrows, and the constant worry over Mahanon. (he'd likely get wasted (alone) for the first time after their talk, just to see if it really helps to drown out all the emotions. It only manages to make him more miserable. )

Oh boy, Quil would likely have a chat with Bull about endangering Mahanon's life, but he'd also agree that it was super cool. (even if he doesn't quite agree on killing the dragons as long as it doesn't threaten their lives. Quil would be pretty convinced about how serious Mahanon is about the relationship after that though, and wishes them the best. ;u;

Your HA is looking dandy now. 8)

Exactly. So I decided to tweak stuff in Milans background story and a lot of other changes when he kills the Archdemon. He survves the killing, but not cause of the dark ritual (he refused it cause he did not want his child to grow up without a father). I have somthing else happening, so he is able to survive (but not without a price). He rebuilds a small group of Wardens in Ferelden ^^ and also meets Hektor in that time =).

The book is great. I have not finished it yet but it is really nice to see how close the bonds beetween a warden and his griffin is, how they combat with the griffins..

Psst i gotta go to bed after this! just a warning!

Mahanon would likely get angrier at the fact that he knows Quil is purposely ignoring him and paying attention to the other companions instead, and it is bull who he remains close to the whole time. Bull likes seeing him angry, because of that anger, he becomes more dominant, which leads him to be a power bottom, which is a thing bull finds really hot. :^)) When they do get in trouble, after quil casts him the protection spell, he cloaks the team, since its a move that comes with the assassin specialization. This means while the non mages attack (mahanon, bull, varric probably) they'd distract the mages from being harmed, meaning little to none damage done to quil.

After the whole alcoholism ordeal, mahanon promises that he'll try his whole damned best not to cave into his problem once again, and if he ever tries to, he promises quil can slap some sense into him if he wants, or yknow, lock him away from any supply of alcohol (although... hes a rogue and can pick locks quite well, so he'd have to lock it with magic) Eventually he will succumb to his problem again, but that will be months later, for new reasons. Idk what those reasons would be, but one of them would be having to fight corypheus, as powerful as mahanon himself may be, hes still fucking terrified about it.

Mahanon would be so thrilled about getting quil's potential blessing to be in this sorta relationship with bull, and would also talk to dorian and quil, since hes gotten the hints that they're together. He'd tell dorian to stay at skyhold, instead of leaving to go off to tevinter, putting on his best snarling face he can manage, hoping that it'd work bc he really likes seeing quil happy, as he is with bull.

Why thank you ;))) and good night!

The dark ritual is so off-putting especially if you're not romancing Morrigan, oh man. (Linus isn't interested in any sorts of sexual relations, and my Tabris didn't have the right parts, which meant trying to convince Alistair, who made it incredibly clear that he does not like the idea one bit.) I'm curious though if you don't mind sharing your ideas, what happens to Milan?

That's understandable, it's probably late there! It's almost midday here, so no sleep for me quite yet XD

I could imagine Quil and Mahanon work pretty seamlessly in battle, considering they've known each other since they were infants. Quilahn prefers conjuring mirages and spirits to guard him / mess with the heads of their enemies (horror spell stuff), but since he's blind, he's not the best at spells that require precise aiming and thus most of the things he does are hex circles and stuff. It does help if he's given a quick overview of the advantages and disadvantages of the general area where they're fighting, eg. "there's a pool of water twenty feet to your right, and some fallen trees northeast not far from here' etcetera, so he try to maximize the damage by placing his spells to their enemy's disadvantage.

(((( what about Quil gifting Mahanon with a nice dagger after they've sorted through their problems. Or at least most of them. )) I don't think he'd lock up his booze though, not after confiscating it entirely and then realizing that he can't try to control Mahanon against his will. It would take some time for him to start trusting that Mahanon isn't hiding alcohol though. The next time it happens, he tries to talk to him, but doesn't let him know just how shattered he is about it. (he probably asks Dorian how he handles the whole alcohol deal, and then cries abt it somewhere private.)

Aah, Mahanon you bossy little darling ;A; ❤️ Idk yet what happens to Quil after Inquisition, hmmm mmMM.

Goodnight ! Sleep well.

I put it in a spoiler, so people who can decide if they wanna read it or not ^^

Milans story Milan is romantically involved with Morigan, which made it even harder for him. The idea of her leaving with a child of him was like a stab with a dagger in his heart. Especially cause his own mother died and his father disapeared. He doesn't want his child to have the same fate.

So he decides not to undergo the dark ritual and cause he does not want his friend Alistair to die he decides to take the final blow on the Archdemon and sacrificing himself.

So they fight the Archdemon and Milan is able to kill it, which leaves him uncontious and gravely wounded.. but not dead like everybody expected and it should have been. Later on Milan finds out that he "carries" the untainted soul of Urthemiel himself (The gods soul was it also who saved him from death but even Milan does not know this at that moment and he has now idea how that could have happend). He keeps it a secret cause he is affraid that this information can be turned against him and makes others believe it must have been the mercy of the maker, that he survived (the funny thing is, I had this idea long bevor it was know that Flemeth carries a soul of an elven godess ^^). Milan tries to find out why he was able to survive and why he was not killed by the old gods soul (What normaly happens to the Warden that kills the Archdemon.)

Darn explaining things in English can be hard somtimes XD

SPOILER (click to toggle) Ouch, I never really even considered how heart-wrenching the option would be for someone who was romancing Morrigan since I haven't done that yet myself. (all I want is to romance her with a f!warden dangit). That sounds even more painful though than just the casual roll in the hay, poor Milan.

Does Milan ever meet with Flemeth / find out that she's Mythal's vessel? Does Urthemiel ever take over? I love possession type stuff, the whole Archdemon / elven gods using vessels thing is so intriguing.

I personally headcanon that the elven pantheon and the old gods are either the very same gods, or at least part of the same bunch, which makes them twice as interesting hehe. (seriously I could talk about theories for hours, so I'll just nip it right here.)

And don't worry, I know the struggle since I'm not a native English speaker either, phrasing certain things is hard.

More Milan

Yeah for Milan the whole thing was like a punch in the face but he cannot stopp loving her, which makes it even harder for him.(so Morrigan still loves him too.. but will be to pride to admit it for a very very long time).

Nope besides the first time he meets her were she sents Morrigan with him he never meets her again, probably later on =). Nope Urthemiel never takes over but somtimes Milan can hear him talk or sees him in dreams (in his untainted form and often also in a human shape not allways as dragon). In the 10 years in Milans body Urthemiel will learn a lot of human feeling, sacrifice, honor, loyality, pain.. which will help him to understand humans a lot better.. cause when they still were the old gods in Tevinter they never really did understand the mortals only used them or were pretty selve centered wihch ended in the magisters tainting the golden city (we all know that the old goods seem to have pushed the mortals into that direction) which also was a reason "The Maker" did sent them into their slumber and becoming tainted by the Darkspawn. Actually it was a punishment form "The Maker" who for me is nothing else than a more powerfull god who took care for the "lesser" gods.

Urthemiel will recognize how painfull it can be for mortals to be used and so he decides never to take over Milan (he starts to like the grey warden who carries him).. he will become a lot of more mercyfull and good natured cause of all that experience. Also he will see what motrtals sacrifice to stop, what the old gods and the insane magisters have brought over the world (the blight) out of egoism and the hunger for power.

Yeah for me they are also the same. So I have some of the old gods appearing as humans (when not using dragon form) and some as Elves.

Is anyone playing through The Descent? I've always liked the Deep Roads and dwarven culture, so I'm finding it fascinating! It's nice to hit some tough mobs too. I started with a level 24 dagger rogue with end game gear.

: I can't get Descent to work for me; I unlocked it at the War Table but it freezes when I try to travel to it. Probably because I'm using a jillion mods. XP I'm planning to use my post-game dual-dagger rogue for my first run through it, though (she's lvl 27).

I kept having that issue with Legacy for DAII, but it was in the final battle. However, that was completely due to a junkie pc. LOL! Mods can do that to a game, I have been playing vanilla for that reason. I want the mods to be more stable.

I know you're probably in bed by now, but i will reply to this now ;)

Yes, of course they'd work very well together, and since Quil would need some direction cues, Mahanon would often cloak and fall back to where Quil's fighting, whispering to him about their surroundings and enemy count, and approximately where the enemies are, lingering just to know if Quil's got the information, before heading back to fight, glancing at Dorian (who's usually in his party!) to make sure the other mage understands he needs to keep an eye on Quil and give him pointers.

((Mahanon would love the blade, perhaps its even enchanted for him? He'd use it for a long time and treasure it never the less! He'd try to give him smth as well,, most likely an enchanted staff, one he knows would feel nice to Quil's hands? idk)) That makes sense, but Mahanon would still drink, although it would be only for fun, like when they play Wicked Grace, chess, or w/e, but it'd be in drastically low dosages, much to his liking. Or occasionally he'll bring a flask or two on long journeys, as he'd get bored of plain old water throughout the trip, though i think he'd tell Quil about the flasks, not really wanting to betray his brother after their meltdown. Besides, if he brings Quil with him, quil would likely smell it on his breath. (Psssh i hope he wouldn't trust Dorian and Mahanon drinking together alone, that could probably end disastrous :')) )

May i ask how our dear Quilahn behave's on some of the major quests? Or Dorian's personal quests and such? Out of curiosity, and to see how Mahanon would act along with Quil, that is. :0 And don't worry, i wont spoil anymore on ya :')) (if thats wont youre hinting at heh)

(whispers if you happen to write more story blurbs about mahanon and quilahn i would love to read it, always)

: Ahhh, Legacy! It was so much fun, but I have DAII on PS3, so the save files got all screwed up and kept corrupting halfway through the DLC! XP Apparently it's a known error that's due to a conflict between items in Legacy and Mark of the Assassin? Oh well.

good morning :D

Gonna put this under spoiler because Lavellan bro talk is getting rather lengthy!

SPOILER (click to toggle) Dorian would probably get the cue quickly enough, so that Mahanon can focus more on what's actually going on in the field. There are times when Dorian summons some dead bodyguards when the battle gets so intense that they drift away from each other or are otherwise occupied.

Quilahn also often surrounds himself with a couple of really nasty horror hexes that mess with the head of the person who enters the circle, and sometimes he forgets to warn his companions about it still being active, so they're in for a bit of a nasty surprise. (obv he always apologises afterwards).

He'd talk with Dagna about getting the blade rune-crafted, insert some nice spell of his into the hilt. Probably something to do with leeching off energy or giving the stabbee some vivid hallucinations. He'd include something that's personal to them or the clan, maybe carving or adding some beads or something. Quil looks like a harmless cutie, but his brand of magic is the Morrigan kind of fucked up. He's also really curious about necromancing, and he and Dorian spend quite a lot of time poring over old spellbooks and talking theory. Bloody nerds, both of them.

Maybe Mahanon drinks very watered down ale/wine/booze? (and the water might now be entirely clean, so drinking fermented stuff might actually be more healthy from time to time. I'm looking at you, corspe swamp. ) Maybe sometimes they drink together, but he'd at least try to quietly tell Mahanon (+Dorian) that perhaps it's time to switch to water now.

Ohh boy. Quil is usually pretty cheerful, although a bit on the quiet side especially at first since his tradespeak is not as good as he wishes it was, and he might miss stuff in conversations if people talk fast. (he gets better at understanding the language though). Tbh I headcanon that Dorian and his father mostly speak in Tevene during their little interaction, so a lot of it flies past Quil's head as well as everyone else's. He notices how distressed and angry Dorian is though, and then Dorian switches back to trade and announces very clearly that he's interested in men, obviously to rile up his father. So Quil steps up his game when he realizes how vulnerable Dorian is in that moment and how much guts it must have taken to do that (especially since Dorian is so evasive about certain things about himself), and tells Dad Pavus to shut it and leave since he's not wanted there. Later, he asks if Dorian is alright, if he wants to have some company or distraction. They end up playing some rune-based game through the night and talk about nonsense. (since Quil can't really play cards, and the chess equivalent of Thedas would be rather tricky.)

ooho ho I love writing little snippets, but this is getting super lengthy. ;; (do give me prompts though if you want. :D )
