Level could be removed, but time and cost by tiers isn't the way to do it. It would need to be done by raw total stats. It could be similar to now by increasing every 1k stats (100 levels of stats) But I don't think this change is important. I don't care one way or the other, level boosters are cheap and I'm usually overleveled anyway.

Yeah...true. =/ But yeah, i'm not heavily affected by this change. Rank should only include stats that actually matter for battling anyways. It just makes sense. Rank don't really matter right now anyways since we've got so many capped pets.

Rank doesn't really matter at all, other than for pride. A strong pet with a bad set is probably worse off than a weaker pet with a good set.

I do like how level was taken out, I just don't think it matters that much.

QFE. That's pretty much my attitude in battling, both here on Subeta and in Pokemon.

Rank will never be able to quantify your battle set + stats + build. So it is not going to be a real determination of the strongest.

Right now, a pet with 150k speed would be first rank. They would do no damage and be killed in one hit, but they would at leaat be ranked first.

Level is sort of like that, it did nothing. The only people who would be upset about this are the ones who boosted level to inflate their rank, I think everyone else sees this as a good change. I didn't really read this thread though. I skimmed it awhile ago, but I think more of it was complaining about being notified about the change. That issue should be addressed in a new thread.

It was clearly not that dramatic of a change if it didn't even warrant the use of the battle group ping. I didn't read the thread either really. Just page 1 and then I saw your post, so just wanted to at least respond to you. xD

I like this change. No way to weasel your way to the top of a dumb list by stats that don't matter.
