Whew so I think I'm pretty much ready with the character bio and HA!! I'm not sure why I added in scars, except her face feels a little barren without it 8( I'll probably have a face tattoo/marking or something to replace it later in the week..

Background: sobs it's super elementary Generations before her birth, her ancestors had served as mages to the palace and other scholarly institutions; however war had broken out. They had fought and lost. Under a new ruler, who was wary of the use of magic, most mages were exiled. Many families who held magical power scattered into the woods bordering the state, concealing their villages with magic, where they continued to live for generations more.
Up until her childhood years, she lived her life peacefully in the woods. Her parents had built their home in a little grove not far from one of the magical villages. There, she learned to embrace nature, and formed a bond with the creatures around her.
In her teen years, she and her parents moved into the village, where she ran errands for an elderly wizard. An elf who was centuries old, he told her of his adventures in his youth, of his life as a court mage, and of the strife in the kingdom they were exiled from. Curious about the world, and inspired to uncover her ancestors' history, she left home to begin an adventure of her own.
Companion: Her companion is Burnsley, a baby dragon with a tendency to set things on fire when he gets super excited ' v ' Backstory/how they met: no idea yet orz..
I've altered my Bio a bit and settled on a name, Lara as nod to Lara croft, shes a bit of a vagabond/polymath, as I think Gr wants it to be anyway its all a bit vague lol.

I couldn't find a floppy hat I liked that also worked with my hair. :( Makeup ok now?
Raggydoll - Lara sounds like a good fit for her! JessV - I thought there wasn't anything else that needed change, but I think this one's much better. And she stands out from the background much more now with the tree added in, too.
Raggydoll - I like the name, very fitting.
Ire- nice, I like that she has a companion that suits her powers, might want to make the fire part show better in the HA though,the sleeves cover it and the rest of the flames blend way too well with the backdrop.
Jessv - she's cute, make up very organic. the hat... maybe a bit steam punk but since you are an alchemist it works with the overall idea
JessV I like it, seems much more 'finished' she looks like a complete character now.
Burnsley is such a great name! And that is not all that elementary, I mean some get real bogged down in detail but leaving things a bit more open gives one more flexibility after all. But anyway, you seem to have covered things nice so no need to sobXD that is perfect lol XD And you are right, sort of a jack of all trades and kicks ass to boot ^.^ I REALLY like it! The cap is perfect and sort of a twist on the whole shade the eyes thing :D thank you for checking on that sweetie :hugs: working like a fiend this weekend but I'll try to keep up!
Thought I should ping you, I've edited my picture and bio a little on page 11, I ended up leaning more towards Lara Croft after watching cradle of life this evening, I hope its ok.

Good morning, ladies and gentleman, I am Phineas and it indeed my deep pleasure to be fated in this adventure with such august company. Allow me to assure you that I have been in and around subeta for several decades now, and there is not much I haven't seen; there is less I haven't done but we'll leave that alone for the time being.
At my side is Katja, who began following me not too long ago. Make no mistake, she is not my cat, I do not even feed her, she simply follows me around on her own volition and I suspect will someday just as casually leave me. Probably about the same time I grow used to her and even find an affection for her, knowing cats.
I play the lute, among other stringed instruments, though I have been known to tootle on a wind or two. Alas I lack the ability to produce anything good out of a brass instrument so we shan't go there. I've played in bands, as a solo act, in duets and in orchestras, I've played to private audiences and large crowds as well. My well deserved fame as a musician is only marginally eclipsed by the equal fame I might have incurred with local law enforcement, but fear not- there are no outstanding warrants or bounties on my head, that I know of. Ignorance is, indeed, bliss.
You can absolutely count on me to carry my weight in this party, I avow it on every solemn pledge I can think up. I shall not shirk from duty nor cringe from man or beast who might oppose us. Unless they're bigger than I am in which case, we can call on the warrior there for a little hack and slash, wot?

It gets easier as time goes on, promise ^.^ Mostly the story stuff is incidental to the puzzles/tasks we have to do (to some degree; obviously the tasks fall more heavily on the story) and the being in character part is just for funsies ^.^
I wasnt going to have a holiday this year, but my daughter has booked us a week away at the end of May, Im very sorry, I will be gone from the 23rd to the 30th,I have a tablet I can use, if the signal is any good, so I will do my best to keep up. but as a bonus I will be leaving work at the end of June and will be here a LOT more. Im sorry if this is an inconvenience. I meant to add, do I need to let GR or anyone know?
Gather 'round It's time to work. We have roughly 2 weeks to get our introductory posts and travel HAs created. Or have we already done the HA part? I'm confused on that point.

WS veterans, are there generally tasks assigned in the first week after introductions?
As soon as Georgie clears some mail out of her inbox, I'm going to request a SL board for us.
it's the HA we created + the backstory for each of us. previously there was bonus points for adding a (how your HA met the group members and became part of it) but I don't see that mentioned for this year
