Ah, I love how this is organized! For the pets, would it be possible to add the Tigrean colors that haven't been updated yet? The art is still decent, but there's a pretty clear distinction as to which ones have match the new design and the ones that still look like the older art (nose shape, # of toes, fur style, etc.). Here are the ones that haven't been redrawn yet:

On a side note- it may help cut down on items/images posted here if there's a distinction made in the first post about what qualifies as "desperate need of a revamp"... there are a lot of posts here that are complaints about little things in newer art because someone thinks the anatomy is off, etc.

commented on this a couple pages back and it was never really addressed. As much as I would love for every pet to get the attention needed to fix tiny little issues, it's not really practical for Subeta. There's a huge difference between charlies needing a complete revamp so they match the current standards for art on the site and one of the lains getting retouched/tiny edits. For comparison, just look at the wings and shading.

more Archan colours in need of revamp - I'd love to see this guy look more regal, like the constellation Leo. Atm it looks like a drunken cat.

- Very dark, hard to make out on my monitor. I think it could benefit from a more dynamic pose.

- like the other two I previously mentioned, I have no idea what's going on here with this guy. If it were reminiscent of Mufasa's...err, corpse, that would be an awesome GY pet. (we seriously have no TLK references to speak of anyways)

I think Ontras in general could use a revamp, and they're currently in try-outs, so I'm waiting to see what is happening, but I think the Reborn Ontra manages to be my less favorite reborn pet and my less favorite Ontra.

I think Archans just need a rehaul as a whole... they're really overly-muscled and sorta look like the lion version of double-muscle greyhounds, which is a pretty odd genetic disorder.

All of the redraws match the basic archan, which is where the problem lies I think- it's hard to pose something with a tiny body and super thick legs... so they just awkwardly sit or stand around.

Maybe add this guy to this list?

@ Nimbus The Archan's anatomy problems overall stem from its original creator. >_> Yes, I concur, I'd like to see the species receive a facelift. It was released in 2007, so it really could use an update.

They just need a fresh touch-up imho, nothing too drastic. Same with the Common and other basic Antlephore colours.

Others of interest - can't figure out what's going on with the fins.

Also regarding the dispute over the pet colors, I spoke to Rah about this when we were first remaking the thread. We both felt that we didn't really want to restrict people from saying that they wanted a revamp. I don't mind listing them. I'm not really big on separating them because then it becomes an issue of trying to determine where the line of "doesn't really need it" is. Unless someone has a better suggestion.

I'd feel like for pets, you'd need more than a mention to get it added to the list.

I mean, pretty much everyone on site would agree that the Charlie needs a revamp. So, getting more than one mention is not an issue.

It's because of the thin line between "The pet needs a revamp" and "The pet has a really slight anatomy issue"/"The pet doesn't exactly fit what I expected, it could look slightly better" that I feel pets would need more than one mention.

I LIKE TO COMPLICATE THINGS SORRY. Yeah...with pet art, some are obviously in need of a touch-up while others are minor or even fairly recent.

a lot of our pets are pretty caught up in revamps, and anatomically look fine imho. Just the common and colourfills need a little sprucing up to match their redraws or even shading.

I feel like doing that would just make the thread flood with pet images if we have it so people have to mention it more than once. Not gonna lie, my eyes go straight for images so if people just list it, I'm more likely to miss it.

Let me think about how I want to handle this, I'll get back to you.

And that people should list why they think it needs to be revamped or spruced up. Some of them are in fact, very obvious and really outdated/colored lineart (those might all finally be gone though) and so on.. but some it's more like, why exactly?

The added reasoning might help the artists of the pets in question, too, like as was the case with the Serpenth's mouths.
