I reckon you gals want to hear how my vacation was? Well, you are gonna get it anywys. :P Figured it be easier to make a shared post. lol There are so much to tell... but I shall do my best not to remember everything without writing a full novel. xD

The flight to Oslo and then Iceland went very smoothly! Exepct from the bus we were suppose to take to the airport ended up stranded with a flat tire. lol We of course checked in at our hotel first, we had our own lil flat actually. Right on the main street! Which was ever so perfect. The main street is just adorable and lovely to explore. Tons of touristy shops and other local shops like the bad taste records store and amazing home design. Even tho it was just a short walk from where we checked in.. they still insisted to drive us to the apartment and helped mum get her suitcase upstairs. We were at the second floor. ;)

After that we went out to look around the main street and eat.... Lebowski that has the best hamburgers... ever... Any hamburger I will eat here will seem bland in comparison. Then we went back to our flat-- at around 6 in the evening. We all fell asleep and slept until the morning. o_O

The weater was freezing cold with WIND but soo worth it. Got some lovely pictures, too. And on the way to Geysir, we even got to pet some adorable Icelandic horses. ❤

We did a few museums- like the saga museum, the settlement museum, northern lights exhibition and the maritime museum (can you imagine fishing for whales with nothing else then a rowboat and a spear? Fascinating bigtime. Learned lots about Icelands history... and how Norwegian vikings discovered the land. Even today- icelandic people speak the old norwegian language that the people spoke back then. So we can understand many words... but yet many words we dont even know how to begin to pronounce. lol A lot of words are like our language.. only they add "ur".. which sounds so cute to me. xD

We also went to see the Hallgrim church :)

We spent my birthday at Perlan (the Pearl) They had the most amazing food and service... not to mention the building is a piece of art! Beautiful arcitecture. We sat at the top of the building... looking out the window for a view over all of Reykjavik. The cool thing about Perlan is that while you sit in the restaurant and enjoy the view... the buiding will slowly rotate.. so during an hour or so.. you will have seen the view 360 degrees! (hope that makes sense). Just stunning!

Surprisingly Iceland has the best burgers, the ones we get here will never be the same now. lol Iceland has actually banned mcDonalds and a lot of other fast food chains. The food is too expensive and the ingridients nowhere near good enough. I loved not seing H, Mc D and all the other boring chains you find all over the worlds. Closest I got was seing a few subway restaurants.. Ity guess they got the stamp of approval. I agree, since they use fresh ingridients etc.

You also feel very safe wandering about. Icelanders are very friendly, the streets clean. Our tourguide even told us that seing a policecar is unusual. lol Very low crime rate. :) They really know how to take care of their tourists too.. with awesome service. Even picking us up at the hotel for the flybus (as they called it) and for guided bus tours. And we were dropped off at the hotel when we were done. :) Didnt buy all that much tho.. mostly just a few souvenirs to take home... some tax free candy. And a few scrapbooking things I found in a hobby store. lol And sheep salt and pepper shakers. xD And a t-shirt. Things were not as expensive as I thought it would be. Even tho it sounded horribly expensive due to their currency. lol First day I took out 40K from the ATM. xD Which is about 300dollars. lol I felt rich. :P

None of us wanted to leave this beautiful place. In love with the Reykjavik and Iceland. :sigh:

The flight to Oslo yesterday went over well. :) We spent a few hours in Oslo before taking the night train home- which was horrible since I couldnt sleep and had already been up and awake travelling for so long already. Slept this morning at my mums before we picked up my cats at my uncles place. :) Now I freshly showered and settled on the couch. :)

EDIT: Tuesday was spent at the blue lagoon.. Gourgeous outdoors thermal bath. We were out in the freezing cold... lounging in hot thermal water. Pure heaven! Even tho it was way cold walking out the water. :P

yeah you gave me One Too as well. Well, you are more of a dog/wolf person, but I think the fairy one is hard to use. One Too can be tricky to work with at times as well.

nods I think it's more of an unusual pose as well, which makes it harder to use - maybe if the cat was walking across, the wings wouldn't be quite as noticeable and you could use it more ;)
