yeah, Mum suggested zigzagging around the pieces before sewing them, but that'd not work all that well when it comes to trimming / layering the seams.... I think I'll just swap the fabric for something else, then zigzag / overcast the seams after trimming them, just to be on the safe side ;) I had to use a denim needle as there's so many layers (I bent the regular needle!) - that probably didn't help, as it makes a bigger hole in the fabric :K

nods at least the fabric was cheap! The rest of the stuff that was in that canvas pack looks like it's slightly better quality (or at least less likely to fray), but I'm determined to get the hang of the way this zip is meant to be put in.... even if it means having to unpick rather a lot of stitches to try again ;)

I raided my storage gallery for any flowers I could use to get a head start laughs there's too many really nice items in the Vesnali shop this year! :P Yesterday (the picnic HA) I chose items from the 12th page of each layer - today was from the first page (other than the two hand held items) :D

I've unpicked the zipped pocket - it dawned on me that if I change the pocket slightly, and make it more of a welt pocket (just folding the lining slightly differently), the zipper tape shouldn't show (as much) and it might look neater ;) ....that just leaves the pleated pocket to unpick & sort out :P

I tacked the zipped pocket yesterday evening - that seems to work better :D And I unpicked and pinned the pouch part of the pleated pocket as well, so hopefully that'll line up better with the flap (trying to avoid unpicking the flap part :P) once I restitch it :D

laughs well, he doesn't need any help, looking at the outfits so far! :P And knowing your wardrobe, you should have enough things in there to keep him happy for at least a week ;)
