yeah, over here it's either 4-ply, dk, aran or chunky - I always get in a mess with "10-ply" and stuff like that on ravelry! 😊

I've got a couple of knitting projects that I eventually want to finish - a pink hippo that might end up being for a friend's young child (the kid's not one year old yet, so that gives me time to knit the rest of it!), and a few blanket squares that need to be a something :P And there's also a sewn parrot that needs the stitching finishing, and replacing the straps on Gran's apron :P

Look what my dad dropped off today. :O His wife had put together this big bag of goodies for me! Tons of yarn and other stuff! :D

Couldn't sleep see... drove mum to work at 8. Then when to Joann's for fabric and hobby lobby and the knitting store--then MacDonalds on the way home. got home at like 1 and put stuff away, and FINALLY went to bed but only got like 3 hours, so I'm exhusted

I love the look of the owl hats, mittens etc. Adorable!

They are not stitched on, but knitted. Using doublepointed needles to set aside stitches. For example putting aside two stitches on a needle. Knit a couple as normal.. and then knit those you have set aside earlier. If that is what you mean by cables?

nods I tried doing a glove pattern with that (not an owl, but just a twisted effect), but I kept finding those stitches fell off the cable needle while I was knitting the other stitches 😊

yeah, those twists can make it look so much better than just a plain boring stocking stitch! :D

hasn't been much better today lol. after grocery shopping which took till like 5.30 pm I had dinner and then mum and I went to Joann's because she wanted paper to the zoo stuff so just got home and its almost 9pm! lol I'm dead on my feet. Tomorrow morning we are going to a little stamp festival and then the petstore and then print pictures from the zoo. LOL

Yeah, I wonder how long it took them to realise that it was possible to make those.... and how many failed attempts to get them looking like owls so they could write the pattern down! ;)

Whoa, that's an even longer day than yesterday! 😮 The stamp festival sounds good, so hopefully that and the pet store won't seem quite so hectic as the last two days ;)

your day's been a lot more productive than mine! I've been trying to think of a present I can make for K's first birthday.... and so far have zero practical ideas 😊 I don't have the patience to knit him anything to wear (he's growing fast), and I have a feeling he has a huge pile of plushies already! ;)

Got some nice stamps and over craft items 😄 Took a nap when I got home. It was way too crowded though and I kinda lost my ability to handle much more around 1pm so we left. It was mostly shopping though, since the demos where the same ones as in the last time we went ooh good :D I'm glad you where able to find it :D

awww at it being so crowded :( But that's good that the demos were the same as last time, so you didn't feel you'd missed much by coming home early squishes Hopefully that's given you some inspiration for more craft projects though ;) :D
