been trying to follow the battle chat. Daemon is one tough opponent! What strategy has worked for you? And does Kwixis have a prayer at beating her?

He is very tough! I've only battled him with a couple pets so far and I've been hit for around 4k damage. I've been using a water and light blocker so far but mostly just chain freezing him. I'll see what I can do with my t12s in a few days.

Happy belated birthday Karen .

I went to Chicago for a work trip for 2 days. Wow, am I tired and my feet are killing me. I walked just over 13 miles in two days - not that big of a deal except that I did it mostly in heels. It was a fun trip though and I got to visit the Field Museum in Chicago for our event - very cool!

I love Chicago ! It was one of my favorite places to visit when we lived in Michigan :) (It may or may not have had more to do with passing a certain jelly bean factory on our way there...)

Been working on the house and the yard this week, managed to get the lawn all finished yesterday - had to do it in mini spurts because it's been so hot out with the heat index off the charts...but none the less, it's all done and looks great too! The house...well, no matter how much I do it always looks like I've done nothing thanks mostly to the dogs who 2 seconds after I mop floors managed to track shit right back over it :( and of course it's too hot to pitch them outside while I get it done and it dries... Hoping for a cooler weekend, but I'm really not seeing that happen anytime soon, lol.

Thanks Mina and Theresa, I'm feeling much better this morning! It still hurts a little but worlds of difference since yesterday! Which is nice since I have a lunch appointment today. I'm headed to Peru again for a mission trip in early August and we're meeting with another church that just got back from that area.

Wow, you've been quite busy :) Treasure hunt still likes to mess with me, though I did finally make it all the way through a couple weeks ago - was the first time I made it more than two clicks in since they changed it! Congrats on the Tempest visit as well!

Spending a bit of time this morning adding more items to my shop, still working on getting my old hoarding gallery cleaned out...it's taking far too long, lol, I'm not even half way through all the items...

Congrats Jeff and Theresa - I'm a bit jealous as I still haven't made it to the end of the crypts since they changed it.

I had such a crappy day yesterday. My parents gave me their old fridge (it was broken but my father fixed it). Ours was OK, but this one was bigger and nicer, with water and ice on the fridge door. It took Tom and his coworker an HOUR to get it into the house - they had to take off both our front house doors and the door of the fridge. We let it run for a few hours, loaded it up from the stuff we had in coolers, and it completely stopped working minutes before we were ready to head out to dinner with friends. I barely did any work and my arms are still hurting me today, and now we have a broken washer and a broken fridge. (But we did have a really good time meeting some friends who we last saw about 6 months ago.)

The good thing is that we are going on vacation next week, so the fridge was a bit emptier than usual. We do still have the old one, which my father reassembled out on our back patio, and we put our stuff in there. (He came over to check it out while we were out to dinner.) But, with the high temps we're having, it seems to be struggling as well. We'll deal with it all when we get back from vacation. I really need it this year!

Got a lot closer thanks to stuff from the prize shops. Maybe I'll work on it today before we go on vacation tomorrow. And, oh, btw, did I mention that Tom and I are going to Ocean City, Maryland, for the week? I can't wait. It's been a really rough two months and we really need the time away.

Things have been super busy around here lately and just as they start to slow down we have company for the weekend! My uncle and Tia are here for a few days - such a nice change from our last guests :) The kids love having them here and spending time with them, as do I <3

Kids head back to school in just under a month...I'm really not looking forward to it! Mostly all the back to school shopping and getting ready and the driving for this activity and that activity...you know, basically everything that comes along with being a stay at home mom, lol. ;) It's Ariana's last year, though we won't get to see her walk or do any of the typical senior stuff. She's set to graduate in December and if everything lines up as planned she's off to boot camp in January/February and will be gone for just over two years - we'll get to go visit her and there will be a couple breaks where she'll get to come home for a few days but mostly she'll be gone the two years...not looking entirely forward to it... sigh they grow up so fast :(

I'm glad you're having better company this time around! That is exciting and terrifying that Ariana is leaving for boot camp so soon. It's awesome that she's graduating early but it's a shame she will miss all the fun stuff of the last semester.

I'm not ready to think about returning to school but it's just around the corner. I'm headed to Peru on a mission trip Aug. 5-14, and then my meetings start on Aug. 15th.

That's awesome - my Tia is from Peru! <3 We always have a great time when they come to stay with us, the kids love spending time with them as do the hubby and myself :) Hope your mission trip goes smoothly! I'm told it's a very beautiful country. I'm on the fence with her graduating early, she actually had enough credits the middle of her sophomore year to graduate had we signed papers allowing her to take the 2 senior classes she needed course wise, but we wouldn't because at that point she wanted to head to college and being 16 and off to college wasn't exactly something we or she truly wanted to deal with! I'm still a bit shocked she picked the Air Force and is leaving so soon, and would rather her wait and finish out her entire senior year, but I understand why she doesn't want to - her schedule will be filled with crap classes for the half day she would need to attended and she sees that as a waste of her time - I kind of agree with that which is why I agreed to let her graduate early...and deal with her dad, lol.

I need to get the lawn mowed before it gets too hot and/or starts raining, lol. Can never predict what's going to happen with our weather over the summer...but the lawn really needs to be mowed and there's a decent breeze so far this morning...fun stuff, lol. I realize it's hotter elsewhere, but I'm a northern girl, I don't do hot LOL. It's 85 inside my apartment... and I hate when I have a hot flash on top of it :P So looking forward to fall. Sorry I missed the TS. There's still plenty of items in there, but the book is long gone.
