Jenn, I feel you on the heat. I need to get groceries, but it's just too hot to walk to the grocery today. Tomorrow might be a little better, so I'm going to try to go tomorrow morning. I always run hot so this heat wave is killing me. Fortunately I move to an apartment with AC in 3 weeks. Even still I can't wait for fall! I walk everywhere because I don't have a car and this heat has been killer. Yes Boston has some wind, but that doesn't help with the humidity!

Yeah, the winds are blowing here too (west of Boston), but it's not very cool. I keep seeing those thunder clouds, but I swear they are avoiding my area like the plague :( We need rain!! Oh and lucky you getting an apartment with AC!! Happy for you!

Yeah it was a really lucky find during my 2+ month long apartment search haha. This heat wave has been killing me so I'm glad there's a light at the end of the tunnel. As much as it sucks to walk to work in the rain, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some good storms. We need the rain really badly. My poor grandmother out in the Worcester area has had to water her garden by hand on some of these hot days!

I'm north central Worcester area. I've been hand watering my garden every day too. We just had a wall of storms blow around us. Not kidding, we got a few minutes of light showers while everyone else got rained on lol. Am thankful that it's dropped the temps and it's cooling down nicely. Did you happen to catch that gorgeous sunset? I got pics of it!

No, I was so pissed I missed it after I saw the pictures! Beautiful sunset for such a hot, gross day :) My apartment has most of the shades drawn and just the windows cracked to help with the heat, and the living room and my bedroom have windows on the east side of the building so I had no idea it was so beautiful until well after it was over.

I'm hoping to catch another TS restock in the morning. I need several things in there, but I've got 5 hours to wait before I can buy something else. :/

We're having higher than normal temps here too, would be nice for a bit of a cool down as I'm over the upper 90's at the moment, though at least we've been getting a bit of rain by us during the afternoons that really helps to bring the humidity down some as well as provides a nice breeze and drops the temps a few degrees...the other day though, all the rain seemed to do was make everything worse...

Pool guy didn't show up this week...I'm beyond pissed and completely regretting switching. We've had nothing but problems with the new company since they started and I'm about to end it. First I set everything up back in May to start the first week of June so there wouldn't be any gap in service...and they started the 3rd week of June, then charged me for the whole month, missed the last week of June and then the first week of July they only put chemicals in, not sweeping or netting or anything else. Now they've missed the 3rd week of July...I am so not happy, my pool looks terrible and someone is getting an earful tomorrow morning. There is no excuse.

It's rainy today - of course I have to run to Costco, lol. I keep hoping it'll pass but it's just kind of setting on us at the moment. Have a great day everyone!!

It's Monday evening and still no pool guy - I called first thing this morning and was told someone would call me back, when by 4 pm no one had I called again and was again told someone would call me back - which this time they did and I was told someone would be out before end of day today...they closed over an hour ago and no one ever showed up...so now I'm livid. Tomorrow I will be going to the store and requesting a refund for this month and effectively canceling service with them...they're a joke and don't even do a great job. The only reason I even switched from our previous company was because I really wanted service closer to the weekend since that's when we tend to use the pool more...I'd rather have service earlier in the week where they do a better job and not have to deal with a company who charges me but never shows the fuck up...I'm so over half assed companies!!

That felt better :) Sorry... aside from that it was a rather blah day, didn't really do much of anything because it's too hot outside to work on the yard and the thought of being stuck inside cleaning didn't appeal...so I sat outside and read a book <3 Hopefully tomorrow will yield better things :)

It's another hot and muggy day here. It sucks we haven't had rain for days. Every time there are isolated thunderstorms in the area, they avoid us completely. It's like we have an invisible wall around us. Even walls of storms break apart as soon as they reach us and go right around us. It's really weird. Someone pissed off the rain gods here!

The pool guy finally showed up last night around 6:30...I was not happy. This company has until the end of August to get the act together or I'll be firing them and returning to our previous pool guys...

Getting ready to head to the DMV to get Ariana's car registered. It's almost done and ready for her but the mechanic wants to be able to drive it for a bit once it's ready to make sure everything is working as it should...I've just been dragging getting it registered and insured because I neither want to wait in line for hours nor do I wish to be on hold for hours on end dealing with insurance companies...blah! Hello everyone. I've been busy the last few months. I have the summer class that is a movie making class but it was a long time working with schedule issues and one person not really doing his job right and finally withdrawing. So our premier date is pushed back even though the summer classes end on Friday. Hopefully it gets all done soon. Fall classes start in two weeks.

I've been working on making a garb for myself since I joined the SCA (Society of Creative Ananocronism) They deal with history reenactment pre 1700's. Its almost done but it would have been nice if I had a workable sewing machine. Have to get someone to hem the bottom edges and I should be good. I'm going to an event at the last weekend of August so I hope things go well. I'll be going with a group of people.

Thanks for the ping Jeff! I was able to snag the Flower Pitcher. I've been wanting one for ages so I can get a harvest potion this year.

Since we're almost at the end of July, I'm assuming the usual summer event won't happen until sometime in August. I'm hoping it starts the second week, but we'll see what happens.

I'll be out of town all next week. My grandfather unexpectedly passed away Sunday morning. We think it was a heart attack, and he had been complaining of feeling more weary recently. He lived out of the country, and last-minute flight availability means that we'll be there for about a week. Fortunately I was able to take work off all next week because everyone has been incredibly helpful and understanding, and my father will work remotely when he has to. At this point everything is pretty much planned out, and all the family will be in town from next Tuesday before the service Wednesday. It's been a rough few days, but we're all doing okay. He always thought he would pass away in his late 60s like his father, so we ended up getting an extra decade with him, and for that I will be forever grateful.

I should have WiFi at night and in the mornings so I'll catch up on the event (if there is one) then. I just hope it's not anything like the Saherimos plot where the first 150 users (or something like that) got bonuses.
