melaka I'm so sorry to hear about Mina :( Having to say goodbye and put them down is very tough. 19 yrs is a long life for a cat and Mina did well. I know how hard it is loosing them. I saw the photo of her and she is lovely

Thanks everyone. The house just seems so empty without her, even though I still have my dog, Buffy. I'm just used to hearing the tinkering of the bell on her collar as she moved around (we had to put a collar on her in the past year because she went deaf and liked to lie in the middle of dark rooms and was always getting otherwise underfoot). I really appreciate all the comments though :( :)

So sorry for your loss. 19 years is a very good age. My Princess was 19 when I lost her. It sucks when they grow old. Sending you hugs. Congrats on 10 years! It will be 11 for me in Nov. sorry to hear your company sucked. People can be so selfish sometimes.

It's been a very long day for me. Worked 10 1/2 hours straight with no break. Came home to a hot apartment that's finally starting to cool down. Just feeling a little grumpy because I have to work on my day off tomorrow. I will try and be thankful that I will get some extra hours in. Should be a nice paycheck next week as a result.

Sorry to hear that . They never live long enough. :( Mina was my first pet that was my own pet, when I first moved out of my parents' house. It boggles my mind to think of how much I've been through with her. I'm sure it's the same way with your dog - 14 years is a long time!

And, anyone else playing Pokemon Go? I was never into Pokemon as a kid, but the app sounds fun. I only just started it today.

My husband and daughter are both playing Pokemon Go - it's too funny watching them run around the yard snatching them up and then needing to drive to the park & library for gym spots - cracks me up. Yesterday when they went to the park there was an older guy in a suit and tie who was also playing which they both thought was rather cool. Neither have had any issues with the serve being down yet and one is playing on an iphone the other is using android. It looks pretty interesting :)

It's scorching here today, was already 99 by noon and only getting hotter and muggier. I love Florida heat, but even this is beyond my liking - normally it's not this hot until later in July...going to be a very hot month from the looks of things!

I downloaded it yesterday. Turns out working on a college campus is a great place to start :) The servers were down a fair bit here yesterday, but I think being in a city probably doesn't help.

It's cooler here today, and this weekend looks rainy. Once Tuesday hits, we've got a heat wave coming so that will be unpleasant. Fortunately I'm visiting my parents Wednesday to Sunday and they have central air :)

I've never played any Pokemon. It's overcast here today so it's only 94 degrees, but the heat index is already 107. Our air went out Saturday morning, on the 3 day weekend. We've been trying to get somebody to come work on it since then and hopefully that will happen this afternoon. The fan is still blowing and it's cooling a little. It's been around 80 in the house which isn't too bad with the ceiling fan going.

Sorry to hear that - sounds like either your coils are gunked up or your freon is low :( We've had on and off issues with ours until they replaced the coils because there was a recall on them, now the only time we have an issue is when the drain line gets full of gunk so once a month or so we put a few tablespoons of bleach through the line to keep it gunk free :) Hope someone is there soon to fix your problem! Being without air with the temps and heat index that high is not good :(

Isn't that the way it goes, glad to hear you got it fixed :) Ours are struggling to keep up the past couple days because it's so hot, and I'm only keeping them on 78! Ended up raising the guest house one to 80 to try and give the unit a break...we had a storm move it which helped for like 10 minutes, lol...Gotta love this weather :)

Nicholas turns 15 today! I still can't believe that much time has passed! Seems like just yesterday we were headed to the hospital to have him <3 They grow up so very, very fast <3
