I've never ever seen anything in the BHH. I don't check daily, but some times I check frequently. Nothing. I consider it not my lucky part of Subeta.

I actually don't mind the button eyes, but I dislike the shape. If the Noktoa would be flatter I'd be diggin' the design ^^

I was a part of Unique and if I weren't on here so off-and-on like, I'd still be here. Kal and the hive are friendly and lovely and put a lot of work into making this a place that welcomes everyone. It's very warm and fuzzy and I hope you end up liking it and staying. =0)

I got home safe and in one piece, and spent the rest of the day/night cuddling with poor Devi who was like LET ME LOVE YOU DON'T LEAVE ME AGAIN.

So I just applied to be a member of Unique, I just got my confirmation that my application was received (I'm sooo glad, I was pretty nervous that it wouldn't go through for some reason.) + it was suggested that I post on the forums to get to know y'all, and give you a chance to get to know me!

:) Haha, I'm a little nervous posting here, since I don't know if I'll even be accepted. I've never tried to join a sorority, but this sort of reminds me of that!

A bit about me - My name is Lu, I'm 24 years old, and I live in California. I don't want to say my exact location just yet, but I'm originally from the SF Bay Area and I now live a bit further east. :p I'm currently working on a BA in psychology with a minor in art - my goal is to be an art therapist. (I know I'm a little old to be still working on my degree, it took me a while to decide what I really wanted to do, and I did spend a bit of time working and travelling before school.)

As you can probably guess from my ideal career, I'm very passionate about helping people, and art. I specifically want to work with kids and teenagers who have been abused, and I especially want to help kids in foster care. For art, I really love painting and photography, but I also enjoy making jewelry, collages, and mixed-media pieces. I am very inspired by nature (another passion of mine). If I didn't already want to work with people, I would love to work with trees. My favorite trees are Redwoods and Sequoias, and I would chain myself to one in a heartbeat.

Oh, also, if you're into: The Beatles, Harry Potter, The Sims, Animal Crossing, PF Magic's Petz series (not the new ubisoft petz games, the old ones from the 90s), Tamagotchi, Parks and Rec, 60s/70s music and pop culture, cats, trees, nature, art journalling.. come talk to me and let's be friends :p

Ah, physiology isn't a terrible class (I am taking the graduate level course now!) - I am sure you'll be fine! & I am reading for my clinical lab class! And no...I am in my third week of graduate school! It is crazy.

I have my hopes up, I am still trying to manage my great need of energy so I can be alive, because after classes I am like super dead, I donn't know how I am going to study on the "free time" D: I had no idea you had already started, that's why you're already very into that. I just started classes this week so I am not that deep into reading or doing anything. Taking advantage of that for now but also setting myself schedules. It works most of the time :P

Yay for never being too old for school! Ahh, well the art therapy program is master's level... so I have a long way to go still >_< It's basically helping clients use art to explore their feelings and heal. You need to have a portfolio of your own work to get into the program, which is why I'm taking art classes.. but yeah, the psychology portion is just, well, psychology. What kind of art do you do? :D

So, you're already a psichologist? Or is it like one of those career+master combination thing? :P I'd love to see what you get in your portfolio. I don't do art. I just like it as in an appreciation form. I mean, I do have some unfinished stuff and like sketches for things I want to do someday.... I've sketched human figures as in the erogenous parts mostly but also have some trees.... I like nature but painting is so difficult!! I also like cross-stitching :P if that counts because I take my cross-stitches to frames like 90% of the time. What kind of ard do you do?

(edit: ack, i'm sorry for misspelling your username!) nope, just a student. :) when I graduate I'll have a BA, then I'll need to get licensed - that's when I'd become a counselor or therapist. Then, when I'm ready, I'll start working on my masters! Here in the US, you're not actually allowed to call yourself a "psychologist" unless you've got a doctorate.

Ahh it SOUNDS like you do art! I mean, you sketch and cross-stitch! (that's so cool! I've only done a bit of embroidery work - mostly patches and silly things) What sorts of things do you cross-stitch?

I don't even know if the art I do is even "good" by most people's standards, I just love to create, and I try not to judge it. I just really like, I guess, intuitive painting - just going with the flow, blending colors, having fun with it. Like, I couldn't draw a realistic portrait to save my life. I'm definitely trying to hone my skills before I need to put together a portfolio, thankfully I have some time to figure that out!

The application is pretty long, but it's actually pretty fun. There are some pretty great questions on there that got me thinking!

I cross stitch stuff I find from the books patterns that I find appealing. I have a sheep, a hot air balloon and a boy throwing a lot of flowers around back at my parents house that I've done. I also made some bears for a towel back at my parents as well. Right now working on a couple of kids but I am having issues with the colors because I ran out of stuff and don't know how to proceed right now. I recently bought a pattern from a van gogh and I SO WANT TO DO IT. Like it'll probably take me a year but I am doing it!

Do you oil painting? I did it once, SO HARD! I mean... literally oily. Something small takes forever to dry.

Oooo! My mum cross stitches and she's awesome! She's made me quite a few pictures over the years, my favourite is this pretty underwater scene. I'm going to ask her for a Doctor Who design soon hehe
