Right now, I'm working on Hesper and jeefdjiefiwefw
the hard thing is that he's not really so much a character as he is a thing (in this case, a storm). I'm trying to convey that without being obvious or heavy-handed.
...
dies Hippies to the hippies. Ilu.
, I like Viggo. There's a plant nursery across town that I love, and I frequently eye their mulch and fertizilizers. To imagine I'd be buying the remains of somebody. . .
Gosh.
What's his personality like? Any chance he'd want to be a collector of rare plants? And, huh. . . ok, so. Maybe I can word myself. For instance, bonsai are creatures unto themselves. For someone who is highly meticulous (or egotistic), they are a heightened pleasure. It's similar for rare perennials, and oddly enough, even orchids. Without the right fertilization, light, temperature, and water regiment, they're very hard to keep alive. It's rewarding, a way to control life, and can feed obsession and/or routine.
I hope so, too! Hey, if you're up to it, tell us about one of them. I'd love to hear. Maybe it can help.
The writing on Hesper's profile is gorgeous. That's definitely a beast to convey. You've done a really good job, though. It didn't seem heavy-handed to me. Think you'll invoke anthropomorphism? If so, for fun free-writing, it could be fascinating to write from the storm's PoV.
Gosh, he's an absolute fairy, Andrea. Really. And, I know I said it already, but I love Truffle. I'm so frickin' glad you got to write.
Thanks to the goading, I got Thaddée to agree to both flowers -- in him not disagreeing to either of them by finding another immediate interest to consume him. He's a cellist, has been for many years now. Built on the concept of the renaissance man in the upper class. I reminded him of that sometime between falling asleep and realizing I was somehow at work again, and he got really happy. He's now put me through a day and a half of 2Cellos on Pandora. I love the instrument, but I'm hearing cellos breathe in my sleep.
I really need to do some research. I've never played a string instrument, so I haven't the faintest how to write about it. I may end up borrowing one if I can and make screechy noises to see how it feels. Maybe watching videos would get me closer. The cello is such a fundamental part of his life, I feel bad about continually pushing it to the back burner because I know so little about the talent.
Well right now I'm on the verge of an idea with my pet Nixia. Now the concept is new to me but I already am liking it. I love working off the fantasy angle, I suppose it's just my comfort zone. Anyway, for the basics so far I merely have her as a Memory Thief. And that's exactly what it sounds like, she steals people's memories. I don't have much to go on juuust yet but basically she's part of this race of people who live off other people's memories/pasts, because their own lives blur into obscurity as they age.
I know it's not much but it's a huge WIP! Thanks for listening!
Hihi, thank you! I'm Faun with an "u" by the way - you seem to keep pinging "fawn" c:
My vote for this, would love to read a story based on that. =D
I smiled at your pony idea but I don't think that would work for me. I still own three ponies from the 80s that I got as a child (and that I never played with because omg they were too pretty for that and generally I was more the toy car and He-Man/Thundercats/AOGB type of child XD) but that's about my connection to MLP, I have next to no idea about the show or fandom.
Your story for Truffle is great however, I really enjoyed reading!
I like that idea! Thanks to my job the "stealing memories" part immediately made me think of dementia (Alzheimer and so on), you could always make her sneak around old people, for example in retirement homes where she then could gather the memories and pasts to fullfill her needs.
Huh that's a good idea... it's so sad but then again I'm better with sad than happy. Thank you for input!
The saddest part was knowing that my story was good. I was just not pleased with it :(
I know that feeling. Maybe we need to make a support group, lol.

Literally how I felt after starting over.
Ahh I just read your post. LOVE 2Cellos! XD
What was the story like and what is the new one? Maybe there's someway you can recycle some of the old ideas into the new story.
I really dig the idea of a memory stealer, sounds like a really fun idea to work with with an endless supply of paths to go down-- only stealing tragic memories, stealing memories that're causing mental disorders such as D.I.D. or PTSD? Or even stealing happy memories, or memories of like bank account information haha.
Do you watch a lot of tv and/or have Netflix? If so (especially if you like TV, since everything can be pirated these days) you should check out this show called "Black Mirror", I totally ruined an evening watching the few episodes that netflix has up -laughs- Short end of it is it's a tv show that's basically like TWilight Zone meets technology (it's really.. like, wow what am I watching ahahahaa??? But as weird as it is, it's worth a watch), but my point is there's a particular episode (season one, episode three) that involves a technology based implant people have that records all of their memories and let's them play them back in their mind/on a tv with others. It's really freaky, but I think it could offer some fuel for this idea if you're a tv watcher anyways xD
-pulls most inspiration from visual stimulations, in case that wasn't obvious now haha-
-dies- sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you should totally make Night a pony or anything |D Just that, I suck at word names so much that that's my go-to for them (they're too hard for me, too many endless directions and genders and heritages and real name and ahh I need some grounding to be worth anything).
... but I, man, I have a lot of MLP toys (hundreds of the classics alone). I always played animal overlords as a child, where the MLPs and Littlest Pet Shop animals enslaved the humans and whatnot that should have been a red flag to my parents that their child wasn't normal at all haha.
I feel like somewhere, at some point in their family tree, Thaddée and Nicolas are related (on Nico's mother's side, obviously). He's got a fondness for roses himself (he likes the color for the innocence and for symbolizing affection, things he lacks and isn't very capable of expressing himself), and oh god the cello! So much cello, it's the voice of his inner workings basically -laughs-
I've only written it once or twice and I sincerely doubt I did it any justice (please do buy a cello, so we can dissect it together and annoying everyone around us then hide it away like it never happened -dies-)
PS: 2cellos are the best too It's such a beautiful distraction that I'm not inclined to sing along with at my desk despite the ears of everyone around me |D
Based on angels who cannot feel emotions. They are vile towards humans until mine falls in love with a human and an angel. She ends up being banned etc etc. I have no idea for the new pet. Well I do .. but I'm not sure yet? I wanted to do a warrior princess that was always cast away by her family.
I have MLP prints from a con on my walls and I don't even watch it ;u;
falls in love with a human AND an angel? Hmm. Interesting. Well, why was the princess cast out?
I might recycle the first story for another pet .. hm hm.
Because of patriarchy and the fact that she's a girl. She can totally take care of herself tho 8D
Poniesss u I've never been to a con (normal cons scare me... or at least, the typical people at cons.. scare me |D, and a ponycon would be disasterous to my bank account |D)
And and anyways-- there's actually quite a lot of play in the department of angels verses humans, and lore speaking there's a great deal of it involving angels having sexual relations with humans and from it coming Nephilims!
Usually speaking the angels are men and the human's female though, so it might be interesting to play on it being the other way around. Not nessecarily that she got pregnated by a human male, but y'know the shoe being on the other foot and all xD
I've been once and I didn't really enjoy it. All I did was wandering in the "artist alley" and discuss with some folks from DA. I'm not interested in panels unless it's SDCC (someday, I promised myself lmao). I was supposed to go to Bronycon in NY but I ran out of money before the trip.
Good idea 8D! I might consider switching for a male this time .. maybe a male pov I don't know yet. Too much pet to work on, seriously x__x
WHOA WTF DOUBLE-POST sorry D:

I think I'm going absolutely psycho over coding Kain's profile. I can't figure out how to get rid of that godawful, stupid black line. I also need to figure out how to eliminate scrolling on the background, cause there's no need to do so. I'm trying to keep it simplistic this time around.
Once I fix those two main issues, it should be easy from there. Just have to write the first half of his story, then get to work on Maxx for the continuation part.
My other biggest gripe for myself to worry about is getting overlays done. I only have three left to go (Maxx is done, I just need to quit being lazy and upload it); Hanji's is nearly done, but Sven and Vash are giving me headaches. I was thinking of just going to someone, commission them for two wolf linearts (cause I'm gonna be lazy plus it showcases various styles than just my own), then just finish up the overlays myself.

I'm glad you like the idea, and thanks to everybody here, his character is becoming more and more complete. I think he's smart, cunning, and narcissistic. He knows exactly what he is and what he likes to do, and he hides the dark side of himself very well. The organic product store starts off as a disguise, and it makes him turning into a environmentalist slowly. And OMG, I like the rare plant collector idea. I think it totally makes sense that he takes pride in taking good care of those difficult pants, though the whole characters starts to feel like a non-cannibalistic Hannibal xD. But hey, nothing wrong with that :D. Do you grow those plants yourself? I'm not really good at that, but my grandparents can make anything grow beautifully.
I love that idea. I mean he could even be a spy who stole important memories for a living. Also, I remember watching some show that's similar to Twilight Zone, and this guy was so addicted to stealing memories, that he had too many mismatched memories in his brain. In the end, he completely lost his own identity and got his entire life messed up. Like, he would say, he fought the WWII (but he wasn't born during that time yet), and he gave birth to their first child in xxxx year (he was a single childless man). It's pretty hilarious and sad at the same time.
This is probably off topic, but your description of Black Mirror makes me want to watch it. It was kinda on my to-watch-list, but the plot summary don't seem to interest me that much, so I keep putting it off. Anyways, glad you mentioned it.
Hmmm...I don't see a black line, or did you fix it already?
Also to eliminate the scroll bar in the background, I usually use this code (I'm not sure if that's the best code, but it's been working for me so far):
{height:200px!important;}
You can freely change the height depending on the profile. Though if a user's browser resolution is small, there would still be a scroll bar in order for them to view the full profile.

I was bored one evening and looking for some white noise to watch since I hadn't gone hunting for a new creepypasta channel yet.. and I found that. All of the episodes are definitely worth a watch (some are more idea provoking than others for sure though), some are more Twilight Zonesque and others are both but it's actually pretty good.
Just, don't let the first one scare you away. It's, odd, in an entirely different way but it's uphill from there. Even that one I won't lie, I sat here going "that's exactly what would happen thanks to social media, all of this".
I think that black line depends on the browser maybe-- I used to never see it on Firefox, but I've always seen it on Chrome and Dolphin (it used to drive me nuts on my basic white profile layout).
This should get rid of it for you:
{border: 0px solid ;}
[edit] Actually I see it on your leashed pet's profile, too, xD!
Yeah really, the possibilities are endless and I'm going to have a lot of fun working with this. I've just gotten a bit of writing up last night, though still tons of work left to do, so it's just a rough draft. Feels amazing to actually have some writing done, ha-ha. I feel like I'm climbing out from under a mountain of dust.
