A quick google says The Chrome browser blocks Java plug-in versions that are out of date or have been identified with security risks. In order to run the plug-in, you will need to respond to a message or an icon displayed near the address bar of the Chrome browser. Clicking on the icon will display Plug-ins were blocked on this page and plug-in options.
Plug-in out of date We recommend updating the plug-in before allowing the plug-in to run.
Java(TM) needs your permission to run You can choose to always run the plug-ins on the site, continue blocking the plug-ins, or run the plug-ins only for the session.
If you choose to always allow running the plug-ins on the site, the plug-ins will run and you not be asked for permission when you visit the site again. If you choose to run the plug-ins only for the session, the plug-in content on the page will run only until you leave the page. You will be asked for permission the next time you visit the page. In addition, you can customize how Chrome handles plug-ins (Click to Play or Block All) under Chrome Content Settings.

- hmm this looks likely to be one of my swearing fights with technology as I can not find anything related to plug-ins even after clicking everything --; It is late though so I think I shall go to bed and fight this in the morning. Thank you for your help ^^
- And now the garbage can is gone on individual events. I no longer have a way to delete them unless I delete the entire category.
They must be doing something again. It is that way for me.

Now there is no delete button anymore - except for the one at the top of the section, which, as we know, does not work at all.
Delete icon disappeared. Can't delete individual events unless you go to the events page.
- I couldn't help fiddling and I think I found it, yay. I'm already set on "Run automatically (recommended)" so it's not that.
I'm gonna be patient and wait until Keith has a working version that doesn't make everyone scream at him. Hopefully it will work for me too and if not then at least my ping won't get lost in all the bruhaha. Thanks again ^_^
This is still not working. At this point I'd vote to either put them back how they were before the change this morning, or go back to the first settings (with the red trashcan) - and just advise people to be careful when clicking (as always, click the image to see it larger):
This is nearly unreadable for me, and I have a habit of reading on my phone, which doesn't even end up with text that small.
[edit] And I forgot to mention, that throughout all of this, I sometimes still have to delete events more than once to make them disappear. If I use the delete option at the top of an entire section, I have to do it at least twice, sometimes three times before the site registers that I've cleared those events. If I delete individual events, they often appear on the next page I load, sometimes on the next 2-3 pages I load. So none of this is actually fixing that problem at all, it's just making it harder to figure out what events are what.
Nope. Nothing blocked or disabled. Everything else works fine BUT Someone else posted it. My dashboard tab is different than my events tab. The dashboard tab isn't different at all. And the dashboard tab is the one I use.
The thing that is bothering me still is that my dashboard view can't individually delete events, only my events view. This used to not be the case...
My java is updated, and I still have the old (broken) event bar as well.
And I've deleted cache and cookies, and restarted my computer. :(

You may want to post on the board below. That is where the changes are being discussed and it seems to get things done. http://subeta.net/forums.php/read/830298

Well yes on firefox I do have it blocked, it has always been blocked by either noscript or firefox itself (security reasons). Never was a problem with the old delete buttons before it was messed about with it (started several months ago).
Just to be very sure it isnt my end I logged into internet explorer where java is accessed so it is not that causing my problem. I still see the old dashboard with missing individual orange buttons.
Yesterday I updated to firefox 36.0.4, updated java to version 8 and am on windows 8. Also tried with Chrome 42.0.22 and Opera 28.0 Tried with both firefox and chrome on my tablet.
When I updated I logged on with no addons, no css and no adblockers, just a newly installed squeeky clean browser to subeta. I am at a complete loss. It used to work, now it doesnt, I changed nothing my end when it happened. Thank goodness for the events delete page.
