I don't think an item should be removed just because people died. Otherwise every weapon on site will have to be removed, all types of guns, all types of bombs, all grenades, etc.

Just because something bad is happening doesn't mean you suddenly have to ban the word and any reference to it.

If that happened, I'd fucking quit, along with everyone else in the battle community.

Considering how the minion jumped in price from 1000 to 3000 sp all of a sudden, I think this thread is having the opposite effect of the OP's intent. Sometimes we need something to laugh at in the face of a scary thing like the Ebola epidemic. Besides, as someone mentioned earlier, poor taste is not a reason for removing or changing things.

I didn't say it had to happen though :p I would be pretty pissed if something like that would happen. I was just following the logic of "people got hurt so it's offensive and should be taken away"

No I know you were just illustrating a point. But if someone were to try and make a complaint about a weapon, like the Natasha or some grenade item, being offensive and should be changed, I don't think I'd be able to contain my rage. xD

Wow ok so now that a few people have been infected here it's in poor taste but when it was just killing a few thousand people in Africa it was totally a-ok? Nice.

It would set a pretty crazy precedent if this item was actually changed/deleted. There are a couple of things on-site with which I'm not entirely comfortable, but that's to be expected in such a big database.

- I live in the UK, we have had no deaths over here, but I still care about those who are infected & affected by the disease wherever they may be

Ijs but considering how ebola is spread I'm about 99% more offended about the massive amounts of poop items onsite than the two Ebola related items.

That being said, I'm hardly offended by them in the first place. So Ebola items are nonexistent on my offense scale.

Just putting in my addition to the "if we're getting offended at a silly digital item because there's a real virus that kills people horribly, we're being ridiculous, this item cannot hurt you" chorus.

To all of the people criticizing the OP for just now seeing Ebola as a "crisis", you're being ridiculous. It is a crisis at the moment; yes it's been around for a long time but the reason it has been in the news so much lately is because the current outbreak is killing more people than ever. To say that the OP only cares because it's now affecting people not in Africa is just stupid and plain nasty.

That said, no I don't think the item should be changed. :x I don't personally see how it is offensive. The disease is a terrible thing but that doesn't mean that people shouldn't be allowed to mention it.

I like how it didn't bother you when it was only killing africans but now that there was ONE case in the USA you think it's insensitive, lol... (it's not really funny thou)
