he is doing remarkably well! He was sent home a few days ago, in fact. The doctors are all shocked and we are all very thankful. (:

That is excellent news!

Much as I have problems with certain doctors, I do generally respect the profession, so its always surprising when someone is doing so much better than predicted. The human body is pretty amazing.

It really is incredible given the dire predictions and how we were all trying to prepare ourselves. He is a remarkable man, as well.

How are you feeling? Any good news on your account?

I'm doing good. Feeling a wee bit stronger every day. Just went for bloodwork yesterday, so I may hear from my doctor in the next week or so if I need to adjust my meds up or down. But if how I'm feeling is any indication, I'm not expecting any changes, I'm generally not feeling either hyper (if I wasn't taking enough), or hypo (if I were taking too much).

The first few weeks on the new meds I was experiencing quite a few problems but those have now evened out. I've been sleeping well. My appetite is good - the first little while I was going through periods of either hyper hunger, or not getting hungry at all. Over all I'm really happy with the new drugs...now I just need to see if my bloodwork agrees with how I'm feeling.

I am so glad you are feeling better! I hate drugs that take so much time to stabilize. Yes, I want instant gratification, or at least instant feeling better. Having your hunger levels even out is a good thing too. Fingers crossed for a good report on your bloodwork!

Thanks. Yeah, I hate not knowing if the drugs are working or not for weeks. And sometimes you can even feel a lot worse before it gets better. If you don't wait long enough, you may end up on the wrong drug, but you don't want to wait forever for relief either.

Thanks , it's been going on for about a month now I guess, getting a little worse every day but we know the drill. I wish we didn't but we do. Hospice is there several times a day now to keep him comfortable, thats the best we can do.

Recipe from HERE

Combine the hot water and salt in a small bowl and stir until dissolved. Let mixture cool. In the bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with a paddle attachment, or with a hand mixer in a large bowl, beat together the marshmallow creme and the shortening until combined.

Add in the powdered sugar and vanilla and mix on high speed until fluffy--about 2 minutes.

Add the salt solution to the mixture and mix until combined.

Transfer filling to a pastry bag fitted with a tip.

The recipe calls for making your own ganache but what I do is take a tub of fudge icing and nuke it for about 30 seconds or so, stir it up good and pour it over the cake or dip the cupcakes in it. Its really easy to make and yes'sum, the texture is about exact.

The weather kept some of the people I have plans with from traveling yesterday so I will be up there helping with more of the cooking. BUt that makes me happy too. Not that they had to wait, just that I have more to do, lol

I have no idea. Before 11 I guess. I honestly don't know what time we will eat. Somehere between 12 and 1 I guess. We don't wait late in the day like some people do.
