Since they didn't add any new items this year, or even move things around as far as who gives what, I was able to get everything I needed as of a few days ago. It is nice to just ToT friends now.

It wasnt pretty growing up but in all fairness, it wasn't all her fault. I was as stubborn as she was strict. Mother and I locked horns at every turn and both my brother and sister will tell you that our relationship was complete dysfunction from day one. I went the total opposite with my kids, I never made them eat, wear, watch, attend or do anything they didn't want to. Thank God my kids weren't prone to getting into a lot of trouble, lol.

Thankfully I had time to find a way to fix things in those final weeks and we actually said I love you to each other several times before she passed. I miss her. I didn't think I would, I mean I knew I would "miss" her but not miss her-miss her but I do.

Its like I tell my kids.. no matter how dysfunctional things are or how far apart you've grown, if they matter to you at all, find a way to work around it. Make things right before it's too late. I spent years hating their grandmother instead of trying understand why she did the things she did, to get to know who she was beyond those memories or try to see things from her point of view. Altho I will never get those years back, we had enough time to make things right for all our sakes. There are still some haunting memories that linger in the back of my mind but I think we both found a measure of peace that was desperately needed.

Wow. I talk way too much. Im considering wiping this entire post out but it took forever to put it into words so I guess I'll put it out there. Hopefully it's not TMI.

I haven't talked to my own mother since I was 17. I sometimes think of reaching out, but every time I've come close something has happened to discourage me. I don't hate her, never have, but she is so toxic to me and I don't think I have the strength to create a relationship I could live with.

Mother tried in her own way but "in her own way" was not appreciated by my kids as they were growing up. One time she had called and Sicca told her she was top of the class - and mother said something like your mother could have done something with her life if she had listened to me and not thrown it all away but at least in you I have something to be proud of. Of course my daughter picked up on it right away and said when she threw it all away by what grandma.. having me? and hung up on her. Shit like that happened almost every time they talked to her so we got to the point where we would use duct tape to make Xs wherever we knew we would lose signal and used those instead. The one on the third step from the bottom going upstairs, a few feet outside the back door and just behind the garage were our favourite spots.

I don't even know what to say to that. The master of the back-handed compliment? How do you teach your children to grow up to be good people with an example like that? Love the solution of "accidentally" hanging up on her.

The top of the pumpkin had sorta started to rot. I cut it out and pulled it up no problem. Put it back on just to make sure it would stay. Still good. THEN after I got done carving, I tried to place it back. The stem feel off. The top had got too mushy... Thought of chopping my fake one in half and placing it on top. :P

I've been Totting, patching and battling, mostly. I noticed it in my inventory and went to SubetaLodge to check out and found it not there. I added it, but I still have no idea where its from.

Contest. But I did mine because no one else in my department was going to do one.

You get it after getting that last piece of fuel in Skelly manor. I think. I checked my inventory after that step and it was there.

Oh I'm here...I didn't battle Jaxom as much as I wanted to, but it still felt like I was battling him forever!

I'm totting and patching as much as possible and working off some of my missing items, but I still don't have that damned Strawberry Neela Rock Pop. I have however managed to get two copies of the last book I was missing!

My wrist is both cramped up and numb at the same time.. that took forever!

I dont know if I did good or bad, all I know for sure is it ate almost all of my day and my kids will be here anytime

Sorry you have not gotten that yet! I checked and had fed one to a pet and one in my wardrobe. If I get another it is yours! Glad you got the books you needed. They can be so spendy later.

I tried to battle a lot but was 2 hours late to start last night and had to leave for about 2 hours today. Plus just getting up and down and the LAG. I actually stopped ToT andPP for most of the late afternoon hoping it would help. :/
