- actually I'd only be a few hexes ahead 'cause I wouldn't have taken off my monocle until now any way. And with the monocle, even on fast passes I only got hexed a handful of times.

Last fast past I got 3 hexes. I'm curious to see how many I get between now and when I get up in the morning a little after 6. Won't be enough to get me to 50, but it would nice if it would. :D

Even if I did, it wouldn't help that much. My boyfriend doesn't like running the computer all night, so it would have limited use anyway.

I also notice after the computer's been on for hours on end it tends to get slow and loggy. Poor old thing needs a lot of rest!

when I worked for Dell it was always a great debate about leaving the computer running or shutting it down. Personally I leave it on all the time and reboot ever few days. But yeah, if it is dragging after running all night, no question shutting it down is the way to go. Any plans for a new one in the near future?

I wish, but its just not in the cards unless I get a job, and I'm no where ready for that health wise right now. I've got to out today to vote in civic elections and its going to take most of my energy to do that small errand. So a job is kinda out of the question just now.

That's half way across the country from me. I'm not concerned for my personal well being, though the story is troubling. I'm waiting to hear more, but its the second attack against Canadian soldiers on Canadian soil in 3 days. Two dead attackers, 1 dead soldier and 2 injured soldiers. Shots fired in our country's main parliament building (the Prime Minister was in the bldg at the time, but not near the gunman), though, other than the gunman, no reports of injuries from there.

Glad it is not near you. It is indeed troubling. Attacks against soldiers in their homeland always really bother me. Hopefully today will be the end of it for you all up there.

I hope so too, but I doubt it. If its a planned attack, rather than just individual extremists going over the deep end, I would expect to see another attack in the next few days at the other end of the country, in British Columbia.

The two attacks so far have happened in public spots - which is scary - but on the other hand also indicates that these attackers don't have a high degree of skills. They are obviously targeting soldiers, but doing it in ways that show they don't have any special knowledge of military schedules, they can't get into military bases and they are counting on luck rather than planning.

There is no doubt that they are dangerous, but...I'm not sure how to phrase this right, I don't want to minimize what they are doing, but if this is supposed to be terrorism, it isn't working, its not making me scared, just angry. Its making me more supportive of my country choosing to fight them in the middle east.

I understand what you are saying. Hopefully more (most) Canadian citizens will feel the way you do. And hopefully Americans are sitting up and taking notice. I would not count on our president to do anything to back up your country though. :(

That hex made me laugh, best one yet lol! And Yes, I ment to be hexed mercilessly, I ended the day with 40+ hexes so even with the monocle and sage now I know I'll get the achievement for that one before the end of the event.

Unless Subeta vanishes again that is.

I'm just gonna keep the monocle off until I get the 50 since, even though I'm missing a few Tot items, I've already got all the achievement related ones.

Any idea how long Subeta was down? It was down when I went to bed last night (early this am) and down when I got up this morning. Wasn't sure if it was down all that time, or just went down a couple times but was up in the intervening times.
