I had a really great visit with my friend. We didn't do much but talk, and my throat is actually a little sore today! We've been friends for more than 30 years. We don't get to see each often, since he lives halfway across the country, but when we do see each other, its like we've never been apart.

this one looks great too. I do think I like the last better though. it is so great to have a friend like that. I am glad you had a lovely time together. You just need to drink some warm tea now. And hopefully it won't be so long before you see him again.

I never know when I'll see him. I don't have the funds to travel to him, and he's not swimming in cash either. He's talked vaguely about moving back here, but there are many reasons for him to stay where he is, so I doubt it'll ever happen.

We can rant here, right - I hope so because I am officially ranting - I am ANGRY. And upset. And saddened but mainly angry - none of this "directly" affects me, its distant family that I dont have a lot to do with but I'm suppose to "react" so I sent my sympathies and kept my mouth shut - and came here cuz damnit all, what's wrong with people!?

About a year ago two of my cousin's sons got popped for dealing down south - didn't affect me one way or the other, you play in that world, you get what you get. I ignored anything that was said about it. (One was released, one's still locked up) Then their mom (who is a little older then I am) got popped for intimidating a witness and threats - I shook my head and thought to myself how stupid is that - again, not my world, not my style, not my problem. With that one, once she's out, she's back in of jail before the week's out - which altho I understand the ugly affects of addiction, it's not something I deal with in my world so I am not involved in any of it.

And now she's gone. She got out last night at midnight, went home, dug out whatever it was she had stashed before she got busted and my cousin came home from work this morning and found her. I'm like WHY DID YOU DO THAT!? That's your first priority after getting out after how many months?! Why not go see your son, get a good night's sleep, spend time with your husband, go to breakfast, see how your mom and dad are doing.. WHY would anyone who's been behind bars for months get out and right away go and do something so stupid!?

I get addiction. I do. But she should have had plenty of time to sober up and get beyond that while she was in jail. I just don't understand - so many lives are now devastated by this and the ripples have gone from NC to MN and beyond and for what? I don't get it and man this whole thing just pisses me off.

it's been a few days and this forum hasn't got much love. I blame poor outages, both electrical and Subeta's weird glitch thing.

That was a long rant! and yep, I believe you can do just about anything you want in these forums and we'll listen to you rant, though apparently none of us commented on it...

That's just the thing about addiction. They are addicted to whatever. Some addiction harmless like playing subeta. Others are a little more serious like hoarding, and then of course there is food/drug/alcohol addictions. Some people just can't help themselves. My dad was an alcoholic. Jail time, therapy, and even living in a state mandated place like a jail, but not a jail and he couldn't kick it. Soon as he was out of those places he would start drinking again.

I'm so sorry you are going through that. My dad was also an alcoholic and my brother a drug addict. The anger is normal. I've been in more than one situation with family where I had to bite my tongue really hard and simply extend my sympathy. You do what you have to in order to maintain your own sanity and keep your stress levels in check.

I finally did it for once! :) A lot later than you people, but I finally got it. :D

The crackers are less than 5mil in shops. The other two items are expensive but not horribly expensive.The book is the most expensive.

Oh man am I embarrassed. I was just so mad at the insanity of something so tragic happening when it could have been avoided ya know? Right after I said that my daughter and the kids came over and then my son called and reality took over. I totally forgot I went off like that or I would have deleted it.

Seems like there are some desert backgrounds. Is that sorta what you are looking for?

, I don't know what you're referring to, but there are these two reddish, otherworldly backgrounds I'm familiar with.

EDIT: my "secret" for the crypts is to follow the same path every day - like always choose, door 1, or door 2. This last time I always chose the highest value door. Now I need to figure out my next pattern. Maybe 1,2,1,2....don't know yet.
