Gah...I didn't used to mind the time change, either direction, a bit of a nuisance to readjust clocks but otherwise no big deal. As I get older, and as every damned device in the house now has a chip and time settings its getting worse.

And no, not buying any animals. They are cute and all, love the baby elephants, the baby giraffe and all the snakes, but as much as I love the animals, I hate the chance machines. I'm really cheap about spending CSC and 125 a pop to get something I probably won't want is just too annoying. Also with the exception of the snakes, I'm betting the ones I want are pretty popular and won't be easy to trade for.

Things are okay. The time change bit me on the ass though. I haven't been getting enough sleep the past week and determined to go to bed "early" last night. But just as I went to bed, my bfriend recalled the time change so I ended up going to bed at the usual time and getting another short night. I considered leaving my alarm clock set at the old time, but time change is disruptive enough without getting up an hour later than I should be.

It's a complete hassle now (the time change), takes me days to adjust to it. They need to give it up and kick the whole idea of dst to the curb if ya ask me.

As for the chance machine - I stumbled onto a gold mine that I hope holds out till I can get some csc, if theres something you want, check trades for a guy named John. He's got dozens of them and only asks for cost. Cost, can you believe that!? Just 125 csc each.

oh wow! thanks for the tip. I think I will get one (now to decide which one), since I traded one of the lifelife dolls for CSC just yesterday.

I agree re DST. They've talked about it (the gov) and I think they were on the verge of doing away with it, but in the end decided not to because of you guys. It would add complexity to trade and such to have the US and Can on different times. Though its not that big a deal really since we have to deal with different time zones east to west anyway.

If you don't "have" to get up for work or anything, why do you even use an alarm? I sleep till my mind tells me i have to get up. It probably would be better for me if I kept it more regulated. But really it is usually always within 30 miutes one way or the other. I have been trying not to nap the past few weeks. Have been doing good most days. Just had a short one today but figured I could handle it with the missing hour, lol

Because of all the pills I take. I need to take pills on a certain schedule. I need to eat before taking some pills, not eat with other pills, etc. If I don't keep to a schedule, I don't feel as well.

If I sleep "naturally" I have a tendency to rotate around the clock. I'll go to sleep at midnight, then the next night I'll go sleep at 2am, then the next maybe 2am again, or maybe 3 or 4 am, and so forth. It makes for a really crazy schedule. Messes horribly with my meds and makes things like doc appts (of which I have millions) a real pain.

I don't even try to make myself go sleep at a regular time, but I do make sure I get up no later than 10am every day. Even if I couldn't sleep and ended up going to bed at 8am. On those days, I take naps :).

I am down to needing 14 now. Vended a couple, traded a couple. Bought 5 of them that were all under 4.5 million cause that was cheaper than the csc anyway. one of them was under 3 million!

I have to rely on lunesta or I won't sleep at all, eventually of course your body shuts down which I call a hard crash and when I would wake up from one of those I wouldnt even know what day it was. And of course the other scripts I take would be completely off kilter so .. yeah. It takes me weeks to readjust after a time change, which isnt nearly as bad as before I decided to take better care of myself and sleep on schedule but still! Totally unnecessary adjustment!

I have a question - awhile ago did yall say you had extra lounge trinkets? I'll be needing to buy about 150 if you do, pretty please.

Sleeping pills scare me. Even when they say they aren't addictive, my fear is becoming psychologically addicted. The simple idea of taking a pill and being able to sleep is so seductive to me because I've spent my whole life having trouble sleeping. I take enough pills, I don't want to add anymore!

As for taking something that helps me sleep, I have to, my "issue" is inside my head, literally. I have to shut it off or I'll lose my mind.

I trust you. Instead of beating around the bush I'll say it straight out - I'm an agoraphobe. Not like the ones you see in the movies that can't open their door. I'm not afraid of things like that, no one around here could ever get close enough to try and kill me thanks to my dogs and everybody knowing everybody. A stranger would stick out like a sore thumb. But I can't breathe at so much as the thought of stepping outside my comfort zone.

If I dont sleep, my fears spiral into something that even I can't put into words and it use to happen all the time. The demons I fight can't be kept at bay if I dont get 5 hours sleep with an hour of down time to get there and wake up.

Yeah, I get that. I can sleep, its just very difficult and I seem to need 20 hours to get tired, and 5-7 hrs of sleep (so I need a 25-27 hr day!) which is why, when I sleep naturally, I tend to rotate around the clock. Then, my thyroid levels, stress, MD appts, and other stuff screws with all of it. DST doesn't affect me as badly as you, but it does add one more difficulty level to the whole problem. If I couldn't sleep at all, I'd be taking sleep pills too!

I certainly don't envy you there. It took quite some time to find something that would work for me, it cant knock me out cold, that also scares me - slow and gradual, thats the way that works and keeps me out of the grips of the ol' "I love me" jacket.

I cant imagine how struggling to get a grip on it when your mind and body rotate the actual hours for your down time like that would be without taking something to help.
