Have you had a look through the winged minion list on subetalodge?

I ignore all my other pets food-wise aside from Anguineous. I used subetalodge to keep track of the food he's eaten, and then wishlisted the rest (holy shit, it was a hassle) and keep wishlisting food as it comes out, and just once in awhile sort the wishlist low to high, and go from there. :)

not break-the-bank expensive, but i do remember asking myself out loud "who the hell would spend that much on a RAKE?" but when i do finally break down and start making some of the bigger purchases for him, i'll be sure to come to you first ;)

rule of thumb: the good gun items never have the word you'd expect them to have in the name. and you know what, back on that topic of subeta needing more of a specific item? give us more guns. i want just a simple common-folk rifle for shootin off varmints, not a space plasma rifle or a high powered police rifle. you know what's a good item that fits what i'm looking for? the killdeer. what's the killdeer? a reading shop item going for just under 40 million. of course it does.

minion hunts are a trial and a half. but you've actually got a point, subeta seems to be severely lacking in the dragonfly department. i'll bet you if you do find something that fits just perfectly, it's going to cost an arm and a leg. that seems to be a bit of a theme

I have one pet I feed when I have food in my inventory. Which isn't often. lol.

I'm still waiting on the magical new Forum Raffle tickets.

But there is a riffle... of course its a reading drive prize. And a wearable. So you'll never get that for a decent price.

Sometimes there are lots of items when you need them which is nice! I wonder if there is an item suggestions board? I know there is a severe lack of western items on Subeta as well.

I'm not sure if everything's listed there or not, but it's a help and a start I suppose (and beats trying to guess something's name by pure luck).

I've seen a few people get them, so they do exist.

i'd be fine with just waiting until the next reading drive to earn myself one the easy way, but lord knows if we're ever having one of those messes again. also i'm inclined to believe the raffle tickets ARE more frequent now, as i got one just earlier tonight (marking my third ever raffle ticket).

i am so the same way. only recently have i started loosening my grip on my hoard and decided to sell a few items (spurned on by me moving my hoard from my gallery to my vault), but for the most part, everything i get is gonna stay with me for god knows how long. you have to admit, it's pretty satisfying to add an item to your wishlist, only to find it's been hiding in your vault for over a year.

Haha, my pets starve to unless I put them in the resort. And I only put them in the resort when there is a battle thing going on and if I can bring myself to care.

Actually, they will probably deflate drastically in the next 6 months, so I can just buy them.

Yeah, I hope we never have another reading drive. But I hope they put out like an epicon point card but for the reading drive. That'd be nice. It wont happen b ut it'd be nice.

Even though I've been chatting on here I have done jack shit with my pets today. lol.

you know what would be the ideal? instead of doing a reading drive, we did a toy drive for all the needy child-pets of subeta, because who the heck uses toys on this site anyway. then in a handwavey bit of lore, that archan who runs the reading drive could generously donate the RD shop prizes to the toy drive initiative. sure, the book-reference items might seem a bit out of place as rewards for a toy drive, but you know what? i don't think anyone would really care.

Hey hey pet people. Read a few pages of this forum. Just jumping in here.

I have some pets. What worries me is that I don't know how to code, nor can I realistically spend all that sp/money on pet profiles (how do you even price pet profiles? I have no idea where to start!) I feel like my hopes of ever winning a pet spotlight are very slim; and really, the pets are the reason I joined subeta!

I have "unique" ideas for (almost) all of them, but I'm not very good at story telling either. Sort of been out of practice I guess. I keep thinking up pet concepts and I've yet to bring any of them to life. It's sad really. I need to stop thinking I'm creative and obtaining these pets and then sitting on them.

Currently sitting on 18 pets with the names I wanted, (mostly) the species/colours I wanted... I think, ugh. I've got 1 out of possibly 4-5 overlays completed. I have 2 pets being fed, 6 being read to, 2 or 3 being zapped, 4 mainly get trained the rest have their randoms days.

I've started selling off things that I have like ... 30 or 40 more of, and gotten down to like 10 of past morostide items or whatever. (I love quentin so, so much for that. Making having a hoard rewarding!)

True, and its interesting to go through pages of your gallery/vault and go "when did I get this...?"

I'd also love a reading-drive point sell-y card thing.

Lol, trust me, pricing pet profiles can be nasty business. At least it felt that way for me. Looking up other people's profile shops, to see what kind of prices there were, and then feeling like a bitch while judging the quality of their work compared to my own, just to figure out where to put my own prices. I felt awful. D: Gosh look at me blabbering straight from morning.

Anyway, welcome to our little lazy corner. And trust me just a year? Some of us have been around a lot longer with the same or less progress so don't feel bad about that. ;)

i totally did

the key to the matter is breaking down your workload into small, bite-sized pieces. of course it's gonna seem overwhelming if you try to run into absolutely everything head on. if there's one aspect that you just know you might never get the hang of, push that to the back of your agenda. there's nothing wrong with saying to yourself that you'll worry about coding/buying a profile when you get there. (alternatively, wrangle up the code for a basic template profile and just swap out backgrounds/color schemes because you like minimalist layouts/can't be assed to do anything more complicated (just like THIS GUY RIGHT HERE ^ ^ ^ ^ ^))

but overall, just have fun with what you're doing and don't worry about not having enough completed pets. there's no harm in having 17 pets with a basic concept hastily slapped on while you work intensely on that 18th pet. i couldn't even tell you how many of my pets have profiles right now without checking because i'm that out of tune with the game.

Hi! Don't worry. You're in good company. Stick around and maybe we will be able to motivate you. :D I know I've gotten more motivated to do things with my pets since being here. gave you great advice. You can't try and do it all at once. Choose one portion and focus on that. Whether it's one pet from top to bottom, finding a profile, narrowing down minions - whatever. Since I have nailed down most of the colours and species I want, and I've scraped together the most basic of layouts for all of their pages, I am now moving on to TCs. My goal is to put 5 items in each of my pets' treasure chests. If I try to do any more than 5 items, I quickly become overwhelmed at the possibilities. So no. 5 items. That's not hard. This forces me to think carefully about each pet, but it doesn't require hours chasing down items. This also reminds me of the direction I intend for the pet's TC to go in the future, which is super convenient. (Plus only doing 5 items per pet at once, this gives me time to collect the keepsake boxes! So many keepsake boxes.)

I ran into one of your profiles recently! I was all googly eyes over it. I love basic, minimalist, interchangeable profiles. I am starting to feel like mine are too basic though... But my knowledge of coding is only enough to tweak things, not enough to write them.

i for one am a fan of your style of pet profiles, as i'm a minimalist at heart (at least as far as layouts go. i dont exactly cut myself short in regards to story/TCs). but if you're looking for just a hint of flavor, i'd recommend trying out patterned backgrounds instead of just solid color. a background resource i absolutely recommend is colourlovers. it's packed with patterns ranging from busy and vivacious to subtle and calming in just about any color scheme you could ask for 👍

Oh, really? ^^ I actually think your pet profiles look awesome. Simple and clean, they don't need all sorts of fancy stuff to look pretty.

That's where we all start. Practice helps. :)
